I highly recommend a jherman Sheppard if you can keep up with satitisfying the constant need for stimulus.

Story time: when my Sheppard was 2 years old, I was walking him around the park and there was a very sketchy looking guy with red eyes muttering to himself Nd making weird movements. Once my dog saw him he did a really low growl and backed his body into mine and kept contact with my legs. He kept backing up into my legs as if to get me to back away, also while growling very softly but deep. He has never done this to people before and he usually is really curious and happy around other people. To see him protect me without training was bizarre and that's when I knew I had a friend that's looking out for me.
