Well, it now uses the actual Geissele Automatic's brand logo with some of the modder's attachment kit as separate mod available.

For me it's controllable, but that's subjective haha. I can adapt to many kind of crappy recoils

Lots of outdated mods included in it. You can likely expect the majority of mod collections to include outdated mods especially if they were uploaded/updated before March 12th.

OP only asked for a mod like sniper or not, and as it says in its description, it unlocks all hidden weapons in the game files. Any additional weapons sniper or not had, such as the M249, were added from elsewhere, like being taken from suspects. The M249 isn’t a hidden weapon and was never originally intended for player use.

Any bugs present are likely just the result of the weapons being unfinished or broken by recent updates. Mods like sniper or not usually fix these weapons to make them actually usable.

Mod.io folder will always be present even on a fresh install, if the only actual file within the folders is a state.json then you have no mods from mod.io installed in there. Any mods downloaded manually whether from nexusmods or mod.io should just be placed in the paks folder not inside the mod.io folder.

The numbers in the name of the .pak determines the order that they should load

For example pakchunk0 through 20 something is the game files and they shouldn't be tampered with

After that (999, 9999,) etc its all mods

So assuming gunfighter is pakchunk999 (i havent checked in a while) you can just set the more slots mod to pakchunk1000 or anything above that, so it loads AFTER gunfighter

Nope, you’re only meant to install one color of your choice and one file version of that color. Installing all of them will just make the last one loaded override the others, and there’s no way to swap between them.

Well, unless you’re using Vortex or another mod manager, you can separate them, since even though they’re packed together, they’re still individual files. Even if you are using a mod manager like Vortex, you can just extract the specific file you want and install it on its own using the “install from file” option.

You gotta boot into desktop mode (or whatever its called, i forget) and then login to nexus, manually download the mods, and drop them in the paks folder. It's very tedious, highly recommend downloading all the mods you want on pc, making sure theyre all in that one folder as .pak files, then upload them all in one google folder, then only now get on the steam deck in desktop mode and download them from the google link you made for the folder. Still a bit annoying, but far less tedious.

honestly I'd start with some cosmetics for drip. BeYkeRYkt has a few great mods for clothes and armor cosmetics. bravoonecharlie also makes a few good weapon mods, many of which are older retro ARs if you like that vibe.

If you want the full experience of the game I'd avoid stuff that changes AI or Rules of Engagement

There are quite a few custom maps out there, some recreations from other games and others being completely original. Ultimately, take a scroll and see if anything catches your eye.

The mod comes with two scenarios.

In Shattered Nerve some of the names and the rough layout pay homage to the original first SWAT 3 mission but it plays very differently and accounts for 25 years of modern history in the reimagined lore.

Shattered Remains is completely different lore wise, features an expanded and reworked map layout, and is more inspired by Twisted Nerve or Children of Taronne Tenement from SWAT 4.

Mods are only available on PC and can be found on Mod.io (which can be accessed in the main menu) or Nexus. Installation instructions for any given mod is usually listed in the description on the mod's page.

For Mod.io it's as simple as subscribing to the mod through the in-game menu, for Nexus you'll have to download the mod and manually drag-and-drop the mod file(s) directly in your game's folders.

To find where to put your mods, find a way to browse your game's local files depending on your given platform (for Steam you right-click on the game in your library, hover over "manage" then select "browse local files"). From there the path is:
Ready Or Not [you should already be here if you followed the above] > ReadyOrNot > Content > Paks.

If that infodump is a bit overwhelming to read I get it, but as I said most mods will have instructions for manually installing them on their page (at least on Nexus). Mod.io you don't have to worry about as much as you can just subscribe to them in-game and they'll automatically install and load.

Slot mods can cause this especially if you're equipping 100+ slots. Would suggest either downsizing the amount slots you use or outright removing it to test whether or not it's the issue.

Has anyone had trouble getting mods to work after the update? I have tried installing them the same way after the update as I did before the update(in which they worked) and they do not show in game. BeYkeRYkt has a good few mods for armor and outfits, and VoltsCorp has a mod that adds ballistic face visors alongside other mods for drip.

Aside from that, you can browse the Nexus, I think you can filter so only cosmetics show up and you can see what catches your eye

I went and Cleared Mods/Save Data. Got the notification that it was cleared succesfully. Deleted all the mods I had downloaded. Installed a mod made after March 13th (M4MK by XK591 and then the Geissele Super Duty by Bravo as a test). Dropped the pak file into the pak folder and still no cigar. I tried Direct11 and Direct12. No difference. Any other suggestions?

Yea works fine. Sometimes Nexus can be finicky so you might need to try downloading from a different web browser. This can also happen if the file is being blocked by anti virus or any security your web browser may come with.

Best bet is to cross-reference the date it was last updated with the date of the latest game update's release (I typically sort mods by last updated). Some mods might still work without having been updated but those are the exception

Latest major update (Boiling Point) was released on March 12th, anything made and updated after that should work.

aside from that, if you think a mod before then will work, the only way I know of to really test is trial and error. Grab the mods you think would still work, install one of them, then boot up the game. If it works, great; if it doesn't, rip it out. Repeat until all your downloaded mods have been individually checked.
