At the end of the day, google links and files are unmoderated, mods that are shared through there have tendency to be ripped off from it's original creators by some individuals. Nexusmods allows modpacks, as those individual mods are: Verified, made by respective creators.

Not all mods from before September 11th are broken. Some of them still work. September 11th is simply the recommended cutoff date because it is the least likely point at which you will download outdated or broken mods.

Ive had the game for years and am on PC. I used to have a lot of mods installed and then I didnt play for a year. I now have very minor amount of basic mods installed but my game still has stuff in it that isnt in my pak folder/didnt install after update and verification of file integrity. Such as, I have frag grenades from gunfighter instead of the vanilla flash bangs I equip in the station, or my gun is at high ready instead of low ready which I beleive is from gunfighter yet I dont have gunfighter installed. I have now installed the lates version of gunfighter but I cant even find the frags to unequip at the station. (I dont want frags)

Aswell as even after me full deleting and verifying game files I still have modded voice overs in the VO folder which were not changed to the vanilla ones like they should have been during verification.

Steam only removes files steam installed, it won't remove anything you did there yourself. You have to create new loadout and delete the old ones to get rid of the grenades. They are probably outdated and new gunfighter versions use different ones

As for voiceovers I forgot how it's done, I only remember od .Pak or VO_MOD folder

Not every mod is on mod.io, most people use nexusmods because it hosts probably the most mods for any game that allows modding. Most people also manually add the mods because it is nothing else than simply dragging one file to a folder.

Well, I am not sure then honestly. I will say that you have to check if all mods are updated after september 11th 2025, any mods before that date may work; but it is a 50/50 esentially. Either way 300 mods is a lot.

Are you running any AI mods?

The guy who shot you definitely wasn't the person on the left (the person who shot you is right above your gun in the screenshot), but that was an insane reaction time. I haven't played enough of the hard difficulty to say it can't be that, but if you aren't playing on hard then it's likely an AI mod. If you are running it on normal/casual with no ai mod, that's just super unlucky or a bug.

Yes, Vortex does work for downloading mods from Nexus. It was made by Nexus specifically for managing and downloading mods from their site. That said, I would not recommend using Vortex for RoN. It is fairly prone to issues, and whether it works properly tends to be very hit or miss. Because of that, manual installation is generally the recommended approach for RoN mods.

Arma Reforger is not built in the same engine, and the engine they use has a mod pipeline for consoles.

The limitation is that UE games do not have a built pipeline, no game that used UE has made mods for consoles. I am not a developer, and have no idea how hard it is, but given that there are large studios that have not done it, I can only surmize it's not that easy. Furthermore it is not just that simple. Void would have to reach out to Microsoft and Sony and have them agree that RoN can be modded on their consoles.

There would have to be some specific mod manager for consoles specifically too, and I am not sure if mod.io would even work. Apart from the fact that there are almost no mods on mod.io and every creator sticks to nexusmods. Whether or not vortex mod manager would be permitted; that's anyone's guess.

No one's saying it's not. The problem lies in how dificult it is. And if other large companies haven't done it, then while I don't want to undervalue Void's abilities, they probably wouldn't be the first company to come up with a modding pipeline for consoles.

Anyone knows any good AI mod?

Default AI is so cooked imo, even low level suspects are hitting perfect shots at me while running at full speed with a pistol from a mile away when my own shots doesnt connect.
Most AI mods turn the suspects into some delta force operator.

looking for a realistic AI mod with realistic suspects based on levels, like you cant tell me that the gas station suspects are harder than the ides of march ones, cause currently with default AI it feels like it

You can. But you need to know which does what exactly.

It's not that your game will break or something, but it all depends on the pak load order. The lower the number the higher the priority. So if you install 3 AI mods that do different things but have one similar feature/stat, only the AI mod with the lowest number will receive the priority and the game will go by that setting.

Some are outdated to the point where they do not work at all, I would advise to always check for posts under that mod, any reported bugs or simply read through the description as some creators require you to put some config text for the mod in your engine.ini

My response from the modding server. Good to share the info to everyone.

Also, since the console release, Void added a number of vanilla difficulties. If the AI-modder creates his own difficulty (which is what I do and other modders too), you can have a lot of AI mods in the folder and select which one you want in the ingame difficulty selector. If the AI mod replaces a vanilla difficulty, it will appear as such in the selector. If not, it will have its own name in the list. Mine, for example, appears as "JugsAI" ingame.

I had a lot of mods in my game and now I hardly have any due to the updates for the game causing the mods to become outdated and refuse to be updates. It probably would not work. Depends on how the t-hunt mod is assembled, but I'd say it's also an .ini edit, so... since both mods change the same file, the one that loads last, goes. Always take a look at the difficulties list ingame, there you will find the vanilla AI settings and the non-overwriting AI mods. You can only load one at a time.

There's Tent City to start, a pretty unique environment to fight in
Overall not a lot of enemies, none are serious threats either, but at the same time SWAT officers do actually respond to shit like that and I personally like the idea

Next would be PAYDAY and Operation Bear Claw
PAYDAY being centered around a bank with all of the nuances that a situation would beckon at the location
And Bear Claw being in a pretty sizeable freight depot with a nice mix of CQC + mid/long range shots (it's one of the few maps that you can comfortably use magnified scopes in, so if you have a sniper rifle mod this is highly recommended - just make sure to pack the Five Seven or MkV as a just in case measure)

2 more that I had a good time in were:
Homeland: Based on the 2022 police station, now occupied by The Hand - Great attention to detail, absolute joy to fight in and look around too
Ditch and Run: Lock-picking/Door breaching simulator, your task is to clear out a motel building from whoever's inside it - I like this one, but it is strictly CQC and can get hairy in a heartbeat

Old RoN maps:
Void Shipping Services: A fragment of Port Hokan apparently, it's pretty solid, tho nothing stuck out for me there to remember it - can give it a try still
Hotel Raid (2021): Used to be in game, replaced by Sins of the Father - I like the environment, also a fairly fun map to try with a hefty suspect count - go lethal and get some heads for yourself, I sometimes come back here for headshot practice

SW4T or Not series
You can use that name and gather a bunch of maps ported from SWAT 4 to RoN
Of this bunch, the only one I recommend and had a good time in would be Children of Taronne - the rest were pretty eh, they're not bad but again, nothing stuck in my head after
REMINDER: These maps may or may not function, so you do want to test them out to see which one can and cannot load

Other maps that one can try:
Operation Neptune Spear: Cosplaying SEAL operators never gets old, tho the map (as far as my experience went) was pretty janky and uncomfortable to play
Autoshop Shootout/The Pit/Raccoon Police Station: Absolute RoN hell with high suspect counts, if you have a death wish or simply need to vent after a long day feel free to come and let some steam out
Don't play them with serious expectations tho, you will regret that decision
221 Highrise: Same as above but less extreme, would recommend to try out if you have a team - bots don't work on this map, and soloing it is not recommended
Underworld Factory: The most aesthetically pleasing custom map on Nexusmods right now, by a million miles - not the most fun to play tho, so keep that in mind
Maya Kanko Hotel: Same with Underworld Factory, a gorgeous port from L4D2 but it is a bit choppy in terms of gameplay

hello! Working on a mod that makes your screen hard cut to black for a more realistic death but its uhh. Complicated. Looks good, it might be possible that you're running the game in safe mode. I don't know how to change this on Epic though. You can verify by going into a single-player lobby and pausing the game; text will appear at the bottom left saying: "RUNNING IN SAFE MODE" and your current game version will be underneath it. If you run the game directly from the .exe it shouldn't run safe mode if it is applied when launching through epic.

Well, Steam and Epic's folder structures should be identical, so everything should function as it is. The only other possible reason I could think of that I've seen happen plenty of times is that you have two separate installations, and you're putting files into the wrong one. If you're opening the directory to the game through Epic or haven't had to reinstall the game before, this scenario is extremely unlikely.

Well there one other thing where if you've installed the game onto an external drive especially if it's an HDD then mods may not function correctly. It's best to have the game installed on your PC's main internal drive.

Reskins do work ive tested that before. Customization options don't work aswell, I can't add any helmets, vests, clothing, or belts, I can only rebrand the LSPD logos to a different unit.

Most likely is it's just an unfortunate issue that can happen with addon attachments and addon weapons there aren't any fixes for it, aside from ensuring everyone in your lobby has the same weapon and attachment mods as you. So, you'll just have to equip a vanilla weapon with vanilla attachments while playing with others if you want to avoid any problems.

It's overall recommended that you don't and just install mods manually, it's not complicated because it's just simple drag & drop. Utilizing a mod manager for RoN is really a 50/50 whether or not it'll work fine for you or not.

But just to cover all the bases from what you showed me:

• Recorded or Not is installed differently then other mods and should be installed to your win64 folder here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Ready Or Not\ReadyOrNot\Binaries\Win64

• The map mod should show up in a new "modded levels" tab when in the mission select menu.

• The Gunfighter file you have is only one part of the mod, which changes the grip animation when using the combat grip attachment and removes the animation of you waving your gun when yelling for compliance. If you want the entirety of the mod then I recommend you download the AIO file which is under optional files.

• Desert Eagle adds an additional weapon that should appear under the sidearms selection.

• Better Vests Remaster is a replacer mod, which replaces multiple vanilla vests with better looking gear on them so if you're not that familiar with how they look in the first place then the change may not be that apparent especially if you downloaded the standard version and not the ATAK version.

I believe all of the keybinds are set to H by default, so you may need to change them, especially if you already have something else bound to that key. I am not sure if you mean simply checking whether a door is unlocked, or if you mean opening and closing the door incrementally. Incremental opening and closing is done by holding the shift key and moving your mouse wheel up or down.

Hello guys, I kinda have a problem. I am running ready or not via Proton on Fedora linux. And for some reason the mods in the .pak folder dont work. It appears the game just ignores them. I used Nexusmods and put the raw .pak files there. I would just want to ask if anyone would know if I did anything wrong and its fixable or if its a linux issue that cannot be fixed.

Well sounds like you're launching into safe mode to fix it which means that if your game is crashing on DX11 or 12 then the mods you're installing are outdated. No fixing them you just need to install updated mods. Look for mods uploaded/updated on or after September 11, 2025.

Create a new folder called VO_MOD in your content folder (Folder before paks in your Ready or Not game directory.) and place the files in there. If the files are in .wav format you'll need to convert them to .ogg note that if files are in .wav format even after converting files they may still not fully work due to be quite outdated and no longer having the correct names as current game files.
