New updates means the version of our previous mod build may not match. It sometimes doesn't mean they outright broke our mods. We just have to remake the pak files to match the updated Pak version or make some minor changes to reflect the file changes

You need a custom model, you need to rig it to an existing vanilla weapon, setup references to other weapon's skeleton in UE, create custom attachment fittings, custom icon, copy and edit a weapon blueprint, and copy and edit each blueprint for each attachment

No most mods are .pak files and those do not replace any game files and I don't think any mods that currently do replace game files would cause crashing.

Only thing that would have to be removed is those pak files.

If you happened to install through in game mod.io though you'll need to launch safe and make sure to unsubcribe to those mods and manually delete the mod.io folder in your paks folder for good measure.

Just finished testing weapons and attachments both replacers and addons have some mods that work and some mods that don't as far as I can tell all the attachment replacers and libraries such as attachment expansion that I've tested seem to work.

At the moment, Gunfighter Basic removes my ability to select breaching shotguns and the primary launchers during equipment selection. Took it out and they came back. Any previously saved presets using the gear seems to equip them properly so I'd imagine they'd work properly but I haven't tested that.

I know the MG338 isn't working, and they already updated gunfighter so you just need to delete the old one and reinstall the updated version. Most of the custom guns dont work when you try to load them in, I'm not sure exactly which ones tho.

If you want to revert for before this patch then:

• Press windows key + R or search in the windows search bar "run" and in the window that pops up paste: steam://open/console this will bring up steam console.
• In steam console paste: download_depot 1144200 1144201 3361813380347194783 hit enter and wait for download to complete.
• Once finished you'll find the files in: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\content\app_1144200\depot_1144201 or where ever your main steam installation is installed.
• You can then move the files where ever you want on your PC and run that version of the game through the .exe.
• Recommend adding ReadyOrNotSteam-Win64-Shipping.exe located in: ReadyOrNot\Binaries\Win64 as a non-steam game and naming it something like: "Ready or Not Pre LSS Patch 2" for ease of access.

If you wish revert to an earlier version you can just copy the manifestID from here: https://steamdb.info/depot/1144201/manifests/ and replace the big set of numbers to download that version.

Yes if you really want to you can delete the files in your main installation and place these over them so it doesn't take up as much. I suggest you to delete those files because otherwise the files that aren't replaced may still be present and cause other issues.

I think keybinds being reset is a separate issue, I was having that last patch when deleting other save files that weren’t the input.ini that actually holds the binds

Does anybody know why, even with .paks in the right place, mods won’t activate on whatever version of RoN existed before the update?

The game launches fine, but is otherwise vanilla. As far as I know, I’ve downloaded all proper extensions for certain things, and overall tried to start with mods that only require the base game. I’ve tried all the usual troubleshooting steps, but I’m at a loss.

I’m on Steam Deck, for the record.

Yeah I have that installed along with the simple mod manager, but I can’t even get that to show up. Nothing about the game itself has changed, so it’s been really difficult to identify the problem.

This is my first attempt at modding, but ive been quite thorough; choosing only updated mods and reading reviews / bug reports. Not sure what I’m doing wrong.

I’m only here because Google and DuckDuckGo are no longer helping. 🫠

Yeah I checked a few times, it’s launching normally. It doesn’t seem to be running the install scripts in steam’s launcher, either. Tried verifying files, uninstalling reinstalling, etc… every usual trick in the book so far. 🙃

I am wondering if the culprit is the Steam launcher not running install scripts for the .paks on start up.

My first try at installing a mod was using an old file that unmagnifies the LVPO. I figured it would be a good start because it’s so simple, but the .pak caused crashes on start up and refused to completely launch, so I removed it.

I decided to go further, and now I’m here. Everything is where it should be and the game is still launching in vanilla. 🥹

You can just validate steam files and clear out any pak files then go into your localappdata/readyornot/saved/savegames and make sure moddata.sav is cleansed as well as clearing out any folders (not other .sav files)

Needs to be updated still, not sure where you heard otherwise. The devs just changed the backend to make updating it possible.

Hey, I got a question that I'm hoping is a simple solution

My friend was playing singleplayer with around 5 mods and it was working just fine for him

I browsed the FAQ and we both have "join modded lobbies" and "allow modded players" enabled

However whenever we try to create a friends only lobby both of us crash at the loadscreen while the lobby is being created

We just have a blood mod, uncensored or not, a voice pack, and a couple AI mods and as stated earlier they all work together in singleplayer but we can't create a lobby

good shit void, way to break your game for the modding community, updated mods work but the main mods such as gunfighter and alot of other mods arent working as intended. All these mods were working completely fine before this bullshit hotfix update and now nothings working as intended. Like my breaching shotgun is fucking missing and theres a ton of bugs when using mods in game, void stop making this a console game please, it was never supposed to be it in the first place.

This patch added quality of life things for modders and players (readded the ability to increase lobby player count, changed how weapons work, fixed custom maps not appearing). It's just a matter of updating mods now.

i get the lobby player count, thats cool, but ngl you guys did something that broke alot of code for modders. Gunfighter for example all the animations in the animation pack dont even work. And whenever I use mods (doesnt matter which one) my breaching shotgun is gone. ive look all over nexus and everyone is saying its voids fault. someone broke something and it needs to be fixed

I don't see how they could be focusing on consoles more when consoles can't mod at all, all the changes for modding are PC only. If something is broken again then the Void reps in RoM will address it (or however it works over there) but I can't comment specifically on those.

Console players haven't complained much about anything besides like in game bugs which every game is going to have on release. PC players have been complaining about everything from bugs, games crashing on startup, mods not working, graphical issues, script issues. 🤣 just saying bro the game was never this broken
