The framerate's low, and I'm guessing it's because my GPU is being underutilized. Before the update I could get somewhere around ~90-140FPS varying off of the map. Now I can hardly push ~60-70, with dips to 40-50 on some of the other maps. Changing around settings or upscalers hardly affects the framerate either

hey there. I am also experiencing the 'createprocess returned 2' error when I try to boot the game. I have almost 300 hours in this game . I've never had any issues. now the new DLC is out and I can't play it. I already tried allowing exceptions for the game and steam in my antivirus and it still won't boot. When I try running 'check integrity of files' on steam, it sometimes dectects that a file is missing. the last time it detected a file missing and it prompts me to update, it says disk write error. I have a SSD and hundreds of free gb. I only fancy myself good enough with computers to surf the web and game, but now I guess I can't even figure that out now.

Aye yall if it is not the mod folders giving you issue and you've deleted them and have played Ron 1.0 at release delete your save data as well the save data can also cause it to black screen and have the error message

I assume it's becuase I had the unlock mod and unlocked my clothing and it saved with that clothing and kept bricking itself upon commander loading

Mind you this was all done on 1.0 I haven't been on this game since 1.0 and came back to all these issue wiped my mods reinstalled my game so even on fresh install with zero mods it can still have issues becuase of ypur save data and I see not too many people mention how save data can also cause these issues

I am trying to run the game but cannot even launch it correctly. I have no mods, my save data was deleted, so that is not the issue. The alignment and padding issues are mostly taken care of by devs, RoN specifically is correctly packaged and chunked into dozen or more content files.
This is just the default behavior of the relic that is SteamPipe, the larger the game the worse it gets, and again, this is SteamPipe's specialty.

EGS does not really suffer from these issues for the same game build, let alone more modern file verification process that scoops up 170GB game in few seconds.

Your disk write speed is slow, either because your needlessly aggressive AV is reading the files, because the disk is slow or because it is copying data between disks.

You will want to install it in any case, your chip out of the box has bad code that makes it fry itself over time. If you don't download it, your chip will kill itself eventually. This should address the issue

Well voice mods should go into the VO folder to take effect so if it was in the paks folder via vortex or otherwise the mod wouldn’t do anything. Regardless go to the VO folder and delete the TOC folder in there and verify game files and see if that fixes it.

Well there’s really only two possibilities for that you’re in the wrong game folder or your game isn’t actually up to date. Go to steam right click the game go to manage and select browse local files and make sure the path you’ve been modifying files at is the same as the one you see there.

If you are having issues with disk write and have Avast this should fix your problem.

open Avast, go to Protection, the Core Shields, then disable file and behavior shields (it will give you a pop up saying for how long, just do 10 min, download the game and run the game)

after the game starts it will give u a popup saying "Threat Blocked" hit More Options then click Create Exception and the game should run just fine

That error message means file corruption, but that is either on disk (i.e. disk corruption, old incompatible files, mods, AV blocking files, etc.) or while it is being decompressed on the CPU (meaning the CPU or memory subsystem might be unstable).

When I open the game, everything starts normally, including the initial "wuhhhhhh" hum during the logo. However, my audio completely cuts out in Windows right after that.

In the main menu, my mouse movement freezes every 2 seconds. At the same time, my GPU fans go crazy; spinning up every time after the game freezes. Similarly, the coil whine stops during the freezes and resumes when the freezing stops.

I tried enabling Dolby Atmos, which temporarily restored my audio. But when I re entered the game, the audio cut out again.

Not entirely sure why are you asking questions for things that were mentioned in changelog and in devlogs, it is not anybody's responsibility to teach you what you want to know, you are free to do it in your own time 🫡

We all asked for a fix or a steam beta that lets us download old builds, devs did nothing because they are making money with the dlc because they killed mods.... still not a reason to kill mods if you can't fix (even tough i know you can because new mods work on old builds) just give us an old version, that's what oculus did with beat saber and no one complained....

idk why you people are defending the devs because we asked for easy solutions and i would be happy to buy the dlcs if they fixed their game but no, devs are lazy.....

Putting up a beta branch and "fixing a game" (whatever that means) are quite different suggestions, if you can call them that.
Yes, i've seen a lot of games putting up beta branches for compatibility reasons but that have other implications you are unaware of. Users make mistakes and blame devs for them, such was the case of people being stuck in Supporter Alpha complaining about not finding matches.

Also, you are mistaken in thinking i'm defending anybody here from, LMAO. Kaminsky can testify just how much determined I am to point out their mistakes

Ok so if i made a mistake with the mods, tell me what i made And if i didn't, who do i blame it on, the modders, who have made a perfect working mod, or the devs, lazy, wont fix their game, wont lisen to the community, and makes it a pain in the ass to downgrade? Only a dev can come up with a valid reason of why old mods don't work on new builds and new mods work on old builds
