probably a steam error, you shouldn't be worried, if it happens again try installing it to a new disk and if it happens again contact me I'll find a fix :)

The update on steam? There shouldn't be any update inside of the game except for mods. but if so, sometimes steam servers or your connection may have an error, try deleting steam download cache by going here " Steam/settings/downloads -> Clear Download Cache " it may fix your issue, restart steam completely and try installing or updating again :)

DirectX11 all the way, some people found """Fix""" with directx12, but they aint 100% yet, so better of using directx11 and if you experience low fps try lowering the graphics. Nice build tho :) Great pair cpu and gpu mixes perfectly :) hopefull the motherboard is a b550 ;)

Some of your mods may be causing the crashing, that's why running the game in safe mode is working, Try uninstalling the mods from your folder and testing them 1 by 1

Its a heavy game, dev will put the recommeded low, I'm running a 1070 and have to run it at low.. Try settings your graphics lower and running it at dx11, try not to run other fat programs in the background like discord streaming is a no no :)

My best bet would be uninstalling and reinstalling.. and being sure no folder is left in steamlibaries

Not sure what the default solutions are, but next time you play keep task manager open, when you see it crash see if your cpu or graphics card max out 100%, may be that your pc was overloaded which caused the game to freeze and crash, common with potato pc like mine :) Or try removing any mods and runnign the game in safe mode :)

Dx11 for now, dx12 is tough love, people are trying to make it work with the game, but keep dx11 for now :)

the gtx 1650 isn't all that powerfull, it's normal for it to have issues, but its not only graphics card that loads a game, if your cpu sucks it could be the main problem or low ram :)

Are you playing using a vpn? Is your firewall blocking the game? Did you try restarting your modem and router? did you try restarting your pc? Did you try verifying the integrity of the game?

If yes, and it is still troublesome for you for some reason, compare hotspot to edge temp, if the difference is too high, re-seat your GPU cooler / re-apply thermal interface.
If your average edge-temp is too high, you have a genuine cooling problem, assuming, once again, that you are happy with current power draw of your own card..

Serialization errors in Unreal Engine are always caused either by corrupted data, or by mods being broken or outdated.
So, remove all mods, and ensure none of your programs block or interfere with files (antivirus, D3D mods, etc.).

The delta vs install size is virtually always higher by orders of magnitude for game engines using packed files (because SteamPipe).
It depends on what is being updated and how the PAK chunks are structured (as in, does the game update touch all pak files ? Was the game build by clueless devs which didn't bother reading Steam Uploading guidelines and didn't split PAK chunks enough ? ehm Remnant II), at some point it is unavoidable to trigger large install size because you have to either re-calculate padding or touch actual files in these chunks.
And the way SteamPipe installs the delta involves a file copy operation, which other patching methods on other stores do not do, which is why is the install size larger and install time is longer the slower the PC is.

Besides the SteamPipe, I see tons of users not even bothering with best practices causing further issues down the line (as in, you should NOT keep your SSD full at all).
Then you have the fact that decade old HDDs, laptop HDDs, OEM SSDs and low end retail NVMe SSDs always suffer from hours long install times due to lack of I/O performance of these drives.

Sometimes when playing a game if you have a couple of gigs left the game eats up those couple of gigs until the system runs out of memory and when the game closes you're back to normal. It could be that the game's just throwing a tantrum and It's not specifically a you problem.

I guess your best bet would be googling the issue but specifying the date and hotfix number, look on places like reddit.

or you could make a post yourself, already specifying the troubleshooting you've already done like running the game in all possible modes etc.

If you have any other utility or driver that forces these values it will voverride MSI AB.

You also have to save it into a profile and have it set to reapply on launch in MSI AB settings.

I've been having massive performance issues, since I bought Ready Or Not.
I've tried all possible graphic settings, with multiple variations. I even made sure that all hardware is compatible and updated. So are all drivers and softwares.
I even used DLSS and Nvidia Reflex and other extra options. But I always get 20 - 30 FPS in-game. Does anyone know what I could do?

1. verify files on Steam
2. just in case, I added the game folder in the antivirus as an exception (as for antivirus, everyone can have different things. In my case, I did it through antivirus Norton, and if Y don’t have an antivirus, then Y can do it in the standard Windows Defender)

I tried it out and it worked. It's still not quite where it's supposed to be, but I'm hoping that the developers will fix this eventually. I'm now averaging 150 - 200 FPS in missions, which is big increase from those 20 - 30 FPS on average. Thanks again!

for all here, who have crashes with DX 12. I think i found the solution. After this steps i played like 1.5 hours without crashes. Before this i had crashes every 5-10 mins ingame. So:

1. (win11) Go to system - display - graphics - change default graphics settings - turn OFF hardware accelerator, reload PC
2. Download Afterburner, go to settings, turn OFF "Enable low-level IO driver" and "Enable low-level hardware access interface", reload Afterburner and PC

Has anyone else's RoN been crashing in normal loading menus or operations? Ever since hotfix 3.0, the game crashes on what was normal operating settings (High graphics, DLSS Auto/Balanced, No NVIDIA HUD or Screen Cap, DX12, etc...). When the game unexpectedly crashes, the RoN crash menu pops up with no data and just offers to delete save data, mod data, or close without sending, even though it doesn't have any info on the crash. I am running RoN 1.0 with no Mods, Lenovo Legion Slim 7i, RTX 4070, i9-13900H. I have horrible performance when running on DX11 even at low settings 1080p. Most levels barely acheive 30-50FPS. I have attempted to roll back NVIDIA drivers as well and have had no luck. For the love of me, I am unable to fix this problem even when lowering the graphics down to medium and low settings. Currently running at native res for my laptop display at 2560x1600 lowered down to 2560x1440 and even 1080 with image scaling. Nothing has successfully kept the game from crashing to this point. Doing a 3rd uninstall of all files and save data and reinstalling today to attempt to remedy this problem again. As far as I can tell, this is not a hardware issue as this began happening routinely once the most recent update to hotfix 3.0 came about. Any help or advice is appreciated!

Mods that change items/weapons broke after hotfix #3. You need to check if the one(s) you are using have been updated, or run the game in safe mode/uninstall the unupdated mods to be able to change weapons

Got a question regarding the Hotfix 3. I purchased the Supporter Edition, so prior to the release of 1.0, I had the Steam Beta settings as "supporteralpha". With the release of 1.0, I have just now realized that I wasn't actually getting the more recent hotfixes (as the build number remained the same from 17 December 2023).

As such, I just changed the beta properties from "supporteralpha" to none. Now, my two questions are as follows: Will this actually resolve my perceived issue? And will this remove any of the Supporter Edition exclusives?

You were never using DLSS on the 1600 series Turing, it doesn't have Tensor Cores.

If it looked like it was enabled at some point, that was just a UI bug and the DLSS was never active.

Safe mode does not load mods, meaning broken mods do not get loaded. Thus it would seem you need to uninstall those mods

I am currently at a loss after hours of troubleshooting for my game. It crashes averagely after about 60 seconds of being in the police station, whether online of offline. I have no mods, and have done a clean reinstall 3 times. I've purged my residual files and app data. I never had crashes before the most recent update. I used to run mods and had no issues. I've cleared out my Mod IO folder both in-game and in my files. I've verified integrity of files. I continuously get crashes, and I'm unsure what the reason is. I do not regularly experience crashes with other games. I normally run the game at "Epic" settings.

And that is up to you to investigate, is it your graphics card ? Your system ? GPU drivers ? settings ? Anything else ? What are the exact symptoms, does it happen when application or feature XYZ is disabled, and so on and so forth.
If you do not know, find an IT person or an IT shop close by to your place and hand your PC over to them.

a) Navigate to C:/Users/Public/mod.io and delete the mod.io folder if it exists.
b) Navigate to %appdata% > local > ReadyorNot > Saved > Paks, and delete the paks folder if it exists. (If you delete anything else here other than the Paks folder, you will be deleting you save data as well so be careful)
c) Navigate to steamapps\common\Ready Or Not\ReadyOrNot\Content\Paks and delete the mod.io folder entirely, and the mods~ folder if it exists. After that you should only have PakChunk0 through 20. Anything else is a mod.

The game only running in safe mode means there is a trace of a bad mod somewhere, and these should be all the possible locations. But you must have unsubscribed from all mod.io mods and cleared the mod.io data in game for this to work, or they will redownload themselves.

Additionally you can run the crash reporter.exe and choose to delete mods, but this deletes the save files and some core files for a lot of people, so you would need to backup your save files first and be prepared to redownload/verify the game

So right before the hot fix for 1.0 my game was working perfectly but now it'll crash every time i try to load the game or it will crash after i play a mission. I've reset my game twice and cleaned out all my mod files and saved data files yet it still isnt working. Any advice?

Same here, my game is crashing on different circumstances (all on single player). Almost every time it crashes about 10-20 seconds after spawning in the precinct. Sometimes I'm able to reach the training shoothouse and then it crashes there. Other I'm able to reach the mission selection menu and it crashes right there. Very few times it actually lets me launch a mission but it only lasts about a minute before it crashes too.

the option is bugged and doesnt show what state its actually in, and it tends to select enabled without your input, so id suggest giving it a try anyways, but theres a ton of other issues that could cause crashes

ok wonderfull thing i had a problem where i couldnt hear voicelines from my operator and i troubleshooted yesterday with someone here with the last option being to reinstall the game i have done that (even deleted all files so it is a complete reinstall and only copied savegames over) and the problem still exists i have no idea how the hell that can even happen

Im pretty sure you can crunk settings to epic, default streaming pool is 3000, so it's will be almost 8gb usage on any settings.

Any mod that modifies the weapon/item list causes this. Gunfigher, sniper or not, or any weapon replacer, etc.

You need to update the mod(s), or run in safe mode to create loadouts which worked for me to swap to

Go to the maps category and sort by last updated

Maps from before that are likely to not work, and may even crash your game on launch
