i removed all the mod files what i had on the game in the paks folder because my game started crashing after loading a map and when i did that the game didn't open and when i checked the integrity of game files it said 26 are missing and now updating the game 86gb's worth so no i idea if it's now reinstalling the entire game or only the missing files idk how game files could been inside the mod folder xd

Mod guns are automatically enabled when you install them, if the mod is functional (assuming it is installed correctly and not having issues), it will override an existing gun in-game.

If it is a mod that unlocks weapons already in the code, you will see it

I have lots of fps issues when playing RON, and I can't tell what it is because I have a decent PC, my internet connection is great and I get about 20-40 FPS on average, depending on the size of a map, etc. I get a lot of lag when aiming with bigger optics mainly.

The HK416 and the GA416 are the same gun, but one of you are likely running a mod that changes the name back directly or (bug wise) indirectly

1. ask the lobby host to turn off "Server side checksum" if anyone in the lobby has mods.
2. ensure that your wifi connectivity is strong as weak wifi limits your connection range (i.e. dont expect to connect from one region to another if u have bad wifi)
3. ensure that the lobby is not "friends only" and is "public", unless you are friends with the lobby host.
4. ensure that you are not blacklisted (i.e. banned) or getting insta-kicked when u join

Check that your anti-virus isn't blocking the game install (including Windows defender) to fix the corruption error, but you may also have to clear the download cache, change download region, try changing the installation path, and launch Steam as an admin

Hey there, tried booting up Ready or Not for the first time in about a month, and the game crashed 100% of the time before reaching the title screen. I get as far as the [Void Interactive] screen, then a popup appears and says a corrupted file has been detected, and to verify my cache.

I have done so repeatedly, and every time I do it says 3 files needed to be replaced, and that they will be fixed, but it never takes. It happens on both DX11 and DX12, and I have wiped all settings and mods to make sure those weren't causing it.

Any ideas?

You might try verifying your game files first through steam. That might tell you if there's a permissions issue or not. If steam can't read/write to the library, it should error out. Then try loading the game again. If that doesn't work, navigate to your steam library root folder (should just be called "Steam", right click and click properties. Then click the security. tab There you'll find a list of users with specific permissions. Your username of your computer should be listed there with Full Control checked at the bottom. If not, that could be your issue. Beyond that, I'm not entirely sure. Steam support might help you with that more than we can. Also, googling folder permissions might be smart. Just read a little bit on how that works. Just be careful of which users you give Full Control of. It's usually not advised you give "everyone" Full Control.

Has anybody had a crash problem? I'll be in a game after finishing the mission re-scanning everywhere, or ill be mid mission and my game will crash randomly. I dont have any mods installed at all.

Close the game, press play, when the launch options pop up
Select the third option

If this doesn't help

1. Verify the game files (right click on Steam > Properties > Local files > Verify integrity) 💬general-discussion
2. If you have any mods, remove them by unsubbing from the mod ( or just manually delete the mod fromC:\Users\Public\mod.io\3791\mods) and verify the game files (delete the .pak folder if necessary)
3. Update your drivers and windows (even to optional build, or even manual install)
4. Temporarily disable anti-viruses and test if issue persists
5. If all else fails, do a clean reinstall below:
   Uninstall Ready or Not on Steam
   Navigate to Steam > Steamapps > Common > Delete "ReadyorNot"
   Navigate to %appdata% > local (%appdata by default is roaming) > delete "ReadyorNot"
   Reinstall the game via Steam

Ready or Not uses peer 2 peer, so it's not like you're connecting to the best server in your region, you're connecting directly to the other user or you are the server if you host

Adding more connections in-between (like VPNs) can cause probs when it comes to maintaining connection

If you're in a 3+ player squad (Including yourself), you can try having the person closest to "in-between" everyone host

Such as if someone is in NA, someone is in the EU, and someone is in SA, you can have the EU person host and see if that helps

I would also encourage switching between users and see who gets the best average ping

There isn't a lot I can recommend, you can try changing your download region on Steam to see if it helps, but I don't have any solid tips currently for improving ping due to the current system

Though hopefully in the future there will be player hosted servers, but that is something they're experimenting with rather than actively prioritizing

If you have Steam cloudsave, then there is a good chance your stuff will go over

But I can't guarantee it either since Steam can be a pain in the ass
