hi, I bought the game the other day and downloaded it on another computer because my desktop download speeds are terrible. I moved all the files across to the correct location and verified the integrity of the game cache and it recognised all files successfully but then just doesn't change anything, and still wants me to download the whole game. this method usually works for every other game, is there something about this game that makes it not work? thanks

Check that your anti-virus isn't interfering with the games install, try running Steam in admin, try reinstalling the game on a different drive/section

Well, you don't have the best specs, so that might be one of the reasons as to why your game is running bad.
I'd try these steps: verifying your game files, enabling FSR, capping your FPS, lowering your graphics, lowering your res, closing background apps

Yeah I tried all that, seems like my RAM just keeps maxing out a couple seconds into running the game

I also tried editing my Nvidia graphics settings which did increase my fps until my ram maxes out again

I suggest you download non-map mods from nexus

I'm having this issue where no matter what I do, some uniform mods I installed before cannot be removed. I have, in this order:
-removed all pak files (I only manually download mods from nexus)
-verified files
-disabled cloud saves
-used crash manager thing to delete mods and save data
-selected clean save data/mods in launch options in steam
-updated gpu drivers (cause why not)
-uninstalled the game from steam
-deleted the ReadyOrNot folder in appdata > local
-deleted any files remaining in steamlibrary from ready or not after deleting
-restarted (again cause why not)

I'm not really sure what to do at this point. I can't find the source of these mods anywhere in my files. Also, I know this is technically a mod issue but now that I've gone through every source online I can find on how to remove mods from this game, I think this would be more of a game issue instead of a mod one.

Right. Just follow these steps, see if it helps. 1) Go to the Steam library, make sure RoN is closed
2) Right click RoN, go to manage and click "open local files"
3) Navigate from the folder that opens, to "Steam\Steamapps\Common|Ready or Not\ReadyorNot\Content\Paks"
(Click "ReadyorNot" then "Content" then "Paks")

4. Navigate to Content\Paks\Mod.io\3791
   (Click "Mod.io" then "3791")

5. This directory will look different based on what mods you installed except for "metadata", ignore that one.

6. Go into each individual folder and hit copy on the pak inside, then return to Steam\Steamapps\common\ready or not\readyornot\content\paks and paste.
   (Backtrack to the paks folder)
   ==Do not cut and paste or it will prompt you to reinstall the mod when launching the game==

7. When done, you may launch the game

I recommend downloading mods manually for now.

It's less buggy that way

-What settings you’re playing on
-Is there a limiter on your system? (frame limit, or your system drawing out less wattage than it’s supposed to, making it run more slowly, cpu voltage amount, gpu clock speed, etc)
-Are you running in DX11 or 12? (stuttering can also be resolved by switching to one or the other)
-Is your system really hot even with adequate cooling? (thermal throttling)

Running 3060 ti and i5 11600k getting 250-300 fps in lobby and 200+ on farm or gas station

Hell my buddy with a 1080 ti gets 180 in lobby and 120-140 in game so something is clearly off with your system...

I run dx 12 max settings at 1080p (buddy runs dx12 high quality 1440p) both 32g of ram

If you got 8 your limited 16 should be fine but that might be the case here otherwise it's something in your nvidia control panel would be my only other guess

Does it happen in random lobbies? The cause is most likely the physical distance from your friends since the game uses peer 2 peer through Steam. But if you have mods installed, you could make sure that everyone has them as well and see if that fixes issues

Hey so I was trying to play RoN with a friend on a friends only session. We would try to join eachother but no matter who joined who we got an error message that popped up. The message that popped up was regarding paks and modding, we were running the exact same mods and even deleted all of them and the message still came up. • got code via email and email had link to steam to put in code
• put in code and it add to my account
  -I had RON installed (purchases year ago via steam 49.99$) and uninstalled it
  -Quite Steam and reopened
  -Went to install Ready or not
• Installed changed from steam>RON>Properties>Beta>changed from None to Support

That could be the issue considering the game is peer 2 peer, but you shouldn't be stuck going forward unless you're severely lagging out

Check your anti-virus/firewall to see if it is blocking the game files/ports, try restarting Steam, and test in a random lobby or with friends

Also double check your windows sound settings and set your default, then check in-game and set it as well

The game uses vivox I think so, might also just be routing issues which I have too on any game that uses it.

Does anyone have a workaround / fix for the "lost connection to host" issue.

I get this every time i try to join a game, and when i host.. everyone disconnects when the map starts.

Ive followed tips on allowing it through firewalls and anti-virus and checked my connection to the internet etc but i can-not for the life of me get it to work.

Their has only been a few times where i can connect and play with no issues at all but its extremely rare i find a good server that works.

Yeah! The worst part is when you have nothing to try to set up differently in game options. Only thing related to online play was the "Server checksum" thingy, but that didn't fix the issue for me.

humm... I should look at the game more 🤔 but a guess with out looking is the game is using randomised ports to communicate & the firewall isn't associating outbound requests with inbound requests leading to required in packets being lost
