There is no way to limit player team kills.
Or, even if the participating player is afk, it cannot cope.
Please tell me the command to automatically kick a player who habitually teamkills.
A more obvious visual difference between standing and crouching.

Not standing up as high when crouch walking. It makes high-low pie-ing with someone near impossible as you are aiming right at head level of your buddy.
The game is extremely fun but my only feedback is weapon damage. I tend to often when in combat they like 1 tap me whereas I put 3 bullets in them and they are still standing.
AI is a little OP at times. There's an AI mod at the moment to help with that, recommend the realism settings in the Steam guide. As for weapon damage, seems spot on to me with center mass shots.

Improve liveliness of the HQ
The HQ seems pretty dead and very quiet. Would be nice for some AI to be walking around and some background chatter. Maybe some interactive NPC's to talk to for tips etc.
Maybe random events of the HQ like a hostage situation you can deal with.
On the Fort Hoken map, when it is raining you hear the rain only when you go outside, not when you're close to a door leading to the outside that is open. (Not that important but a cool realistic feature
I like it. Good gunplay and realistic movement.
After release I believe the game will run out of content. Implenting some PvP (hardcore Siege, like R6 was in the early days) might be an option.
Progress? Unlockables with score gain such as skins and new equipment is my suggestion. I'm talking realistic stuff like camo and such.
Maps of the locations with the ability to actually plan out the raid would also be useful. As it is now you are pretty much walking in blind into unknown locations (unless you played them a few times before).

Can we get enemies with flashlights and lasers? It's sorta obvious that your teammate is there when the only flashlight is shining around the corner. Also, whether or not you can see player nametags should be decided by the host and not by the individual players to even the playing field since wallhacks for friendlies is actually pretty useful

I'm not sure if this a bug or just something that wasn't coded but it can really break the immersion when you radio to TOC to say that you have a civi ready for evac and they say "Copy, notifying morgue." I would really like to see a system implemented that makes them respond with the right voicelines

You know what will be insane in this game ? This tech i saw was in Six Days In Fallujah . It was an AI that randomly generates the map or not necessarily AI created but hand-made more variants of the same map ... The same layout for the map like the farm but the rooms , objects are randomly placed , the walls of the house could be destroyed or changed . You would have much more immersion because this will make you actually thinking what's behind that door cause you already know the layout for the map
This is already a thing on gas station, if you enter from the front and go to the right, depending on what scenario you've chosen, there could be a wall there and there could not, also in various rooms soom objects are there some aren't
I don't know if this feedback has been brought up already, but for 213 Park Homes, there's a chance that an enemy can spawn in front lawn and instantly spawn camp players.

I dont know if this was brought up before, but IMO one of the most annoying things is that AI teammates, while using optiwand, are reporting already dead/arrested suspects/civis
It might work if they made it a tactical equipment selection. So instead of a ram or shield, one teammate (online of course, single player idk if it'd work) can choose to control a sniper that appears in a window like in SWAT or through a camera device kinda like the wand

When you report the downed police officer in the Farm map, it says "Civilian still alive but unresponsive", it should say instead "Officer down".
I'm so happy with the optimization of this game. I don't think I've recently seen even AAA games that manage toperform as well as RoN (looking at you BF 20-42 FPS) on my computer. My setup isn't the best by far but with the current prices upgrading just isn't an option for me. I'm just glad this game runs well is all I wanted to say.

Dev's should add the option to be able to enable lights/laser without toggle, with that it would be possible to ads and turn on the lights/laser easier.

Can we get little blurbs of what attachments actually do when customizing a weapon?
Suspects shouldn't be able to melee you and do damage to through the ballistic shield while you're facing them.
They also shouldn't be able to collide with you and shoot through it when the collision happens.
Suspect AI should also not be able to walk through you while you stand in their way with the shield. Had this happen a few times and died because of it.

Once suspects shoot you, there should be no surrendering after that, a suspect engaged us in a fire fight, and at the very last milisecond, put his hands up, but it was too late. and we still got un authorized use of force after that, make it to where when a suspect shoots us, you have authorization to kill that suspect, no penalties behind it.
Tasers need some serious work. The animation is just shooting electricity. Iād love to see actual wires and prongs shoot out. If they connect it should equal 95% of the time an immediate surrender. Unless of course they have body armor or etc.
I'd like to see a freelook mechanic. Not a big deal but it's something I really like using, feel like it would fit in RoN.
Voice lines in some instances are place holders and on release will be matched as to maintain the immersion, thanks for taking the time to comment!

There is already a freelook sensitivity slider so I assumed that was already planned. Since it does not change the free leaning mechanics at all.
PIP cam for the Mirrorgun is WAY too hard to see. Too many graphical errors on it's display and it's like 10x darker than fullscreen view. I think the cam needs a battery replacement or something. Screen should be brighter since it's looking like an LCD to me. I was wondering why my friends could see everything but I couldn't.
Please add "Kick Player" or "Ban Player" option for host. There are players who keep trolling every rounds

I think something that might be a bit controversial to add but might be a bit cool is having like actual proximity voice work with the AI(would be hard implement) Would be kinda cool to use your microphone to get the AI to comply with you and have different voice lines and everything depends on what you say(Could also be a mod idea)

Feedback/ideas will there be any CQB in the full launch? Or maybe added on latter. Kind of like battlefield 4 CQB itās a short animation which you must counter the enemy by timing it right, however in this case we would just disarm the weapon. We have already seen fake surrenders, but imagine being on your toes when you get close to handcuff and they grab you.
Possibly(Would probably be a thing they don't want to focus on right now) but adding like a cutscene where the SWAT van pulls up outside the compound and everyone hops out...Sort of how Cold War has there cutscene in mulitplayer games or like Modern Warfare

This is kind of knit-picky but I'd like to hear more aggression in officers' voices.
I was playing with my friends the other day and was like "yeah I wouldn't be afraid of these cops if they told me to surrender like that"
Oh, another interesting idea: for content creators it would be cool to be able to go back and view the mission once completed through the helmet cams of the officers like you'd get in a show like COPS or Live PD
Would be fun to yell at suspects/civs with voice for sure! ... it would also be need to use voice as a 'tactic' where you can try to 'negotiate' through a door/room while in cover to bait/lure a suspect to charge or take an action of some kind (giving away position if responds by voice, or opening fire/warning shots for example)
More voicelines, its annoying seeing officers refer to females as "male" or "him" and such.
I will probably be using this channel a ton. This game is incredible but the only way to see things change is places like this. Glad this dev team is focused on listening to the players instead of their āownā vision. Excited for the future.
Thanks Jacinco, We are trying to filter all the information back in a meaningful way, of course the devs have their own vision in mind, but they are 110% willing to compromise and listen to the community. A channel here for an isight to see what devs are working on. Images of models, maps and other fun things to build hype for updates. It works really well for survival games.
There was an intention to release a road map of sorts on trello, but since release we have had a massive amount of really credible feed back, so the team will need to weigh in on all the feed back and look for a meaningful way to include all of the great suggestions, while staying within the frame work of the original vision.
Air plane level?
Like one of those double decker air busses that has multiple rooms and such. Sits on runway.
Randomized load out game mode.
-Could make current 4 mans do something different. For example; your friend that always uses mirror gun or shield would then be randomized into a whole new kit and it can cause different ways of playing, along with it just most likely being fun.
An increase on suspects and difficulty
-Iāve logged about 150 hours so far and I can say the first 30-40 were pretty challenging, but now Iām finding myself (especially with a full squad) having no real challenge aside from getting an S or something like that, however as of right now there is no concrete reason to grind for the high ranks when itās not going towards anything other than a screenshot to send someone to be like āLook at my score šā (which is also very fun). I think increasing the amount of suspects and maybe implementing a system where certain gear canāt be used or something like that could really help.
PURE STEALTH MISSIONS
-Right now the hostage rescue on Gas Station feels like really the only stealth mission, seeing as if you alert any suspect or kill or anything, all hostages die and you restart anyway, so it forces a more stealthy approach; with that being said, stealth is such a concrete mechanic thatās already in the game, I would love to see some stealth only missions, like silenced pistols only or something like that to give that stealth flair that Iām sure many of us are fans of when it comes to similar genres.
International teams
-This could be a stretch and I know itās much easier typed than actually done, but having different countries in the game where you could for instance be a Russian swat equivalent team, or Germany or anything like that. Would allow for different scenery, environments and an overall feeling depending on which country to deploy too.
With all of those being said, if you are looking for voice lines, I have a full studio in my apartment with professional equipment in Brooklyn, NY. I would LOVE to do some voice lines, completely free. I just want to support the game and take a little bit of work off your guysā hands, maybe could give some soldiers a taste of that NY attitude.
In conclusion, Iām in love with the game. Itās optimized so well (even at 1440 where some other modern games struggle) the lighting and all the environments sometimes just make me wanna stop and appreciate the work and dedication in each light/sign/rubble pile I see. I really hope the progression of the game gets bigger than you people ever dreamed and if thereās any way to help more than getting the supporter edition and all that; feel free to DM me or just reach out here.

Mission idea: An op where you're raiding a location where a known terror cell operates an HQ. Objectives would be to secure weapons caches and disarm IEDs while containing civilians who would be moving about in a public area (think of a place or worship or a store with a back room/basement)

Add a 5 or 4 sec delay on the traps that kill you. So you can try to avoid them before getting killed.

Giving AI commands is fairly smooth, but I'd like some continuity of commands, so I can give multiple and have each team member perform actions simultaneously.
For instance, if I tell my guy with the wand to camera check a door, or one with wedge to block one, they'll stop that halfway through if I try to give other commands for the squad to stack up or move, rather than finishing that command and following the subsequent one
and as much as I love hitting myself with grenades, I'd love a soft lob for them that was slower but more precise
Absolutely love bouncing flashes off of peeked doors and stunning the whole team. So much fun
On the topic of throwables: being able to throw grenades through windows would be cool too.
A radio sound affect would be realistic if you were talking in team chat

For the active shooter scenario you should make a random event in this mission type when a player can sometime encounter a conceal carry holder who is also trying to take down the bad gun man. This would make the active shooter scenario a bit more interesting because now the player has to figure out who is the real bad active shooter and who is just regular person trying to help.
a dude running around shooting would also be able to be shot, so unless he complies to being told to hit the dirt, shooting them would be justified
Reticle quality should be kept separate from general graphics quality. On anything less than "Epic", the dot for all optics becomes either super blurry, or 4x as large.

Well if you look at paintball guns they can hold around 100, the peperball gun has the same system and chamber as a paintball gun, except it isn't paint its spicy air, so it has a normal amount

Make unit recruitment every 12 instead of 24, itās just too hard to advertise a server with a pile of others being placed on top of yours, the post gets buried and itās unfair.

AI forget about civilians after making them surrender
It would be nice if when an AI teammate makes a civilian surrender, they then cuff and arrest them. On gas station I usually split my team into two, so I can't be there to command the other team, so it would be really helpful if when the other team breaches, the detain any civs they find, without just letting them run away.
[Shotgun Shells]
It would be nice if there were different shells to load in at different times mid game, like instead of using a spot in long tactical, its nice to be able to toss in a M1030 breaching round and then shoot
And a little unrelated to the main concept of this suggestion, but related nonetheless, its annoying that when using the one press one shell mechanic, it moves to ready position, it would be great to put in a select amount right then instead of spamming R for 5 minutes
To do this you would need to make sure that every round currently in the shotgun has been spent or ejected so it would be pretty impractical, but would totally be possible
Unless you want to load one in with the rest and fire the rest off

They should move when you walk into them, otherwise you can use the mouse wheel menu to move them
I think the school level we should be in patrol uniforms with only that gear etc as 95% of the time the people to neutralize the threat are patrol officers and not swat

[Medical Assistance for civilians]
Civilians should require medical assistance on the active shooter scenarios.
It would highly increase the realism and immersion in game if along with the scattered dead civilians on the active shooter scenarios, you could also have some civilians that require medical assistance such as a tourniquet being applied to stop a bleed from a gunshot, etc.
If you wanted to you could also have an AFAK/Medical Pouch/First Aid kit item in long tactical, effectively giving you a team medic to deal with these situations. This could also be a gateway to adding to the rescue feature of the game. If you have an immobilized civilian, you could also have to drag them to safety out of the building and behind a Bearcat or something, where there would be more advanced medical aid awaiting. I think that would be an amazing feature to the game, and also gives you more of an objective with civilians, rather than just detaining them.
If the city is supposed to be called "The Dreams" then it should be "Los SueƱos" and not "Los Suenos", native spanish speaker here. š

The night vision needs to have the "overexposing" effect when looking at bright lights, right now the bright parts are just plain green instead of being bright and overexposed

Hello, a long time ago before the games release I said a statistical reality that should not be said here. (Compared to a certain religion so I won't say which one) So a moderator of this religion banned me directly I have to use a vpn I find it a shame because I love this game. The only thing that breaks my immersion in the game, for example there are gangs of women shooting at us, that's exactly what I was trying to say I think it's not like that in reality. Playing and talking about the characters who kill has become commonplace, but telling a statistical truth about a religion responsible for the overwhelming majority of attacks deaths worldwide has become a crime, I find it a little crazy. I think you are a bit in your world because arms circulate very easily in your country and anyone can carry out an attack but come and see who is carrying out attacks in europe, asia, africa or the middle east. Just some ideas:
-Having a description on how the grips and muzzle attachments affect the weapon
-Being able to unequip secondary or primary weapon
-Being able to see how much weight you carry
-Being able to create loadouts
-a little bit bigger cone of light for the flashlight
-Enemies need to track you less precisely through walls
Implementation of a way to mark rooms (bar using chemlights) as clear would be good, maybe like a map or something that can be checked. Agreed on the Night vision as well, it should blow out in brighter areas. Suppressor sounds are pretty damn A+. I've been having an absolute blast so far, haven't ran into many, if any bugs. Definitely one of the more polished early access titles I've played .
Also, I definitely agree with the stuff Zseti said above me, those ideas are all pretty kickass!
oh also, the ammo carried in the operators vest should reflect which type of gun hes using, because rn they all have AR15 mags, this is nothing gamebreaking ofc, itd just be a nice detail as well as fixing the all the position of the pistols in the hand, most of them clip through the hand.
Improving Game AI
The most important thing to work on currently is AI Intelligence, AI Intelligence is really important as it gives people who play the game a fun time and it gives developers more scenario options with the game. Developers should work on the games AI for Criminals, SWAT Members and Civilians doing this will allow further gameplay within the game including stealth operations allowing you to eliminate a subject using your team members (This could mean getting behind someone with a knife and starting an animation allowing you and your partner to attack the subject stealthy without others seeing or hearing the situation). Improving AI Intelligence allows for the developers to create further realistic scenarios.
Further Interactions with AI SWAT Members
Developers should add an option in settings that allow you to turn on Advanced SWAT Members, what this option will do is allow for further advanced interactions with AI SWAT Members Ex. The Advanced options will include - 1. Instead of selecting a group allow an option to select certain people (AI SWAT Members) to do something, This could mean selecting Eli to hold our back as three other members clear a room. 2. Allowing a team to hold two different doors and selecting an option to breach at the same time (One of the SWAT Members would start a count down and then breach at the end of the count down). 3. Allow AI SWAT Members to gather Evidence. These are only a few but there are way more others can come up with.
Member Roles
Before entering a mission allow members to select roles for other members, Ex. Before entering a situation I start to pick members Roles, Eli will be Non-lethal (Will receive a rifle as his primary weapon and non-lethal as his secondary (This member will have a beanbag shotgun and a normal pistol as his secondary he will also have pepper spray and other items))., Ryan will be Shield Unit (Will receive Ballistic shield and other items to breach into a room) if a shield unit is not required you can have a primary breacher role, this member will have all his weapons and Items to breach into a room, James will be secondary Breacher (Will Receive items his Rifle, Pistol and other items for intel as he will receive and give information about a room before breaching) AJ Will be tertiary Breacher (Will have Weapons and Items to breach into a room Ex. C4, Flashbang, Breaching Shotgun etc.), Non-lethal could either breach into a room with all the members or he could hold cover for other members with his pistol
My paintball gun has a reloading animation below the players fov (?). I also noticed that sometimes it has infinite ammo and sometimes not. Most of the infinity ammo is when in the full auto mode. Also, if you reload a more than full canister you loose Half if it according to the mag icon.
Please make the AI stop squirming after taking 50 shots to the head. š

I really don't like that there can be civilians who have models with ski masks and bulletproof vests, and say lines like "They're here!", "Pigs!", "Cops!" All of that immediately makes me think they're hostile but they actually never had a gun or any intention to harm.
Also, I'm sure something like this is already planned, but I'd love to see a bank heist scenario.

I think being able to pick up the equipment from dead officers would be a cool edition, like picking up the breaching shotgun from your buddy that died in the last room clearing because it was the only one

Moving arrested Civilians and Enemies should be a thing. Doesn't feel very safe to have three civilians in a corridor where you have an active firefight
when using T to view my teammates POV i should also get the their affects of night visions such as on port hokens, or else it really isnt useful
Whenever I was going to play farm and 213 maps online with my friends, the game would crash and report an error. I had checked the game integrity and reinstalled the game, but it didn't work at that time. Hope someone can help solve this problem, thanks all!
Uniforms from different countries would be nice
Something I realized this morning: Why do all the doors in the game open both ways? I get that it's easier from a gameplay perspective, but I've never encountered such doors in reality.
i dont know if this requested before. But when you check your mag and if its empty it loads the empty mag to the gun.it would be nice if it reloads automatic if the mag is empty.(i know it sounds like nitpicking š ).

Replace the force submission dialogue lines by the swat teams and also make them a lot louder and shouty. I'd imagine that when swat teams are moving into rooms with people they would yell at the top of their lungs, basically be screaming.

Sure the low ready stuff is neat but other stuff like being able to grab/squeeze friendly shoulders when stacking or even do hand signals would be cool
All of the guns have too much recoil IMO. Iām not a career swat officer, and I can handle an AR15 better than the dudes in game. The MP-5 is especially egregious. On 3rd burst each round is separated by like 10 MOA, and that is a gun that is famous for itās smooth recoil impulse. I get that the guns were probably tuned the way they are to make gunfights feel visceral and chaotic, but I think the punchy sound and the tunnel vision suppression effects do a good enough job of creating tension that you can bring the recoil animations a bit more in line with reality.

Overall for the game status atm it is very good and filled a big void in the market. Makes for fun gameplay. The weapon and gear customization is good and will be excelled on a ground branch scale if the development continues I believe.
My only gripes would be the lack of sprint. This really annoys me as civillians and susepects can sprint around the map but the player is stuck waddling around, loosing them instantly due to the difference in pace.
Allow normal shotguns to act as breaching shotguns
Would need to be able to chamber load breaching rounds. Regular buckshot isnāt great at opening doors from what I understand.

Think about removing the attachment station and folding that function into the locker display. Having them separate is more confusing than it needs to be, and adds the need to walk back and forth between locations to try new setups. It would also be easier to customize AI teammates since you can only access their loadouts from the locker.
Also, please make more lockers interactive for multiplayer lobbies so you donāt have people crowded around the one locker or the one table.
If and when there is a pvp mode, imo it should be the same as coop, but enemies replaced with players. the assailants would need to have relatively restricted movement during certain gamemodes, but i feel like having the same objectives as coop, but with more dangerous enemies would be fun (dangerous in the sense that they are smart, not that they can laserbeam you through a window at first sight. it would further encourage actual tactics, like using the mirror wand to peek corners, proper stacks because players will attempt doorbangs, and using the shield properly, flash breaches and door wedges. it could be based on a 2 round system, with each team aiming to get more points than the other on their attacking phase to win the game, which would encourage arrests over lethal force. game modes like raid would be optimal to prevent boredom for the defenders, and active shooter would make for very fun, short rounds, perhaps where there are only 2 or 3 enemies for each team of SWAT officers. Hostage rescue could be possible if the hostage-takers lose points for use of unnecessary force by trying to execute without hearing the opposition. This would however require an honesty ranking +ban system to prevent griefers.
in other things, please allow more barrel attachments, allow for thermal vision in both blue-orange and white hot, and pls also white phosphorus night vision (i believe it is called). the original attachments from the alpha would also be nice, such as the ammo conversion and maybe options for built in suppresors on certain weapons.

As far as I know you can load pretty much everything into a pump action shotgun. Problem is when you try to load a semi auto with something outside the norm, because it wonāt chamber the next round.
The Benelli m4 has the ability to pull a round from the chamber and retain it in the loading gate so you can chamber load a different cartridge.

You get this response for the mirror, they will say that they can't do it or they will say "No can do, sir." Or something along those lines, not sure if they do it for the other ones though because I haven't tested. I think when they get stuck on breaching or some stuff it's either a case of the door being locked, which they will tell you, or they just become bugged, which I'm sure will be fixed in the future

They don't say anything, when they can't do the entry due to too low space, so they can't stack up. Also on a note, it would be great if they used radio to communicate mirror thing etc when you are far. It's so hard to hear them.

When the mirror is blocked, it will pop up "Mirror obstructed" underneath the operator in the bottom right, as for the entry denied due to low space, I'm not sure that's a thing. I could be severely wrong but they will always enter and clear a room when commanded to unless they get stuck on either the door which happens allot and is a bug, or they get stuck on pathfinding or in eachother, which is also a bug. but again i could be wrong
I think it's an pathfinding issue but in other game they just reply a "can't do" if game pathfinding has difficulties and gives up.

Ok yeah fair enough its a comfort feature but dude, the attatchment station is literally just 1 meter away, it just adds a unique aspect to the game by having the workbench and locker seperate. If your crying because the attathcment station is too far when it's literally just 2 seconds away from the locker, then that seems like a personal issue. Not to mention theres already enough features in the locker.

Any civilians that are unsecured should be able to grab and use weapons dropped by dead suspects that aren't secured.
If a suspect is killed, when their weapon is dropped on the ground any nearby unsecured civilians should be able to crawl or run over and grab it, this gives a stronger emphasis on collecting all the evidence and securing all weapons.

The hotel has a sort of briefing, but it gets cut off due to the timer so you never get to hear the full thing, and I think in the trailer they were planning to add a before mission planning system, so I am sure that it'll be a thing in future

We had a glitch yesterday where we heard the whole briefing and it started playing through into the mission. it was about 2 minutes long so perhaps they should make them shorter overall

my biggest problem with this game are the maps and level design. compared to SWAT 4's maps this games maps are literal mazes with a shit ton of rooms to clear. they are hard to navigate and you will find yourself lost a lot in this game. instead of making huge, visual maps, can we get like a small house or something. i can't quite put it into words but SWAT 4's maps had that sort of feeling where you knew what you were doing and where you were. IFYKYK
I personally favour the tighter, mazey, boxy type maps more out of the selection available. Using glowsticks to mark major branches of a map once cleared. I think it's down to personal preference as the more open maps are less engaging imo. The map 213 Park Homes is literally a small house if your yet to play it, plus that mine bit at the back

It's early access so I don't think they'll release a demo, you do get the 2 hours of playtime for a refund tho. I don't think a demo would work since it's a randomized experience each time so a free demo would be too much content?

Yeah just a single map and single scenario. The replayabilty is a good thing because they'll realize how replayable it is on just a single map and mode which would increase the likelihood of them purchasing the game to see other maps, no?
If the suspect is shooting at you and you shoot back and the suspect begins to play the surrender animation but its too late and you kill him, you get penalized for unauthorized use of deadly force which I think is unfair. I think in these cases, you should still get like a second of time in which if you kill him you dont get penalized for unauthorized use of deadly force.

Feel the traps could be toned down a bit, seems a bit excessive for the casual player to instantly loose all progress if they go through a door wrong, the flash traps work well but the explosive ones seem a bit ott.
unsure if this has been brought up yet but handguns do not feel good when compared to actual recoil.
The berretta has more of a glock style hardcore recoil when it should have a much flatter recoiling due to its feeding system. where as i find the opposite with the glock having a pretty flat recoiling when its actually more of a fast snap (Not saying glocks aren't flat because they are very well designed for recoil, but in comparison it just seems flip flopped). Also with the red dots equipped it seems they shoot somewhat like armatures dipping the dot down after each shot when in my experience with dots it more flips up and then returns to center (when you would break your next shot). Seeing the dot dip so much just looks like improper grip of the firearm or no recoil management you would see from new shooters.

Taser's range/effectiveness is really bad or I'm not using it properly
When using the taser at 3 meters or further at an AI either fleeing or running towards the char, it doesn't work. The taser fires but has no effect. Also please add the ability to reapply the shock effect using the same set of prongs on the target/allow me to repeatedly tase the target to get them to comply.

civis don't comply even when repeated melee'd, often they will run away in most circumstances even when yelled at to comply ie: they don't surrender and just run away just like the suspects when yelled at to comply.
Please remove the 20 second wait time before starting, especially for singleplayer
please add the ability for AI teammates to do more like securing enemies/evidence/civilians, or spotting stuff like point of interests (places where you can enter or items that can change the outcome of the mission)

Auto-reconnect option, as if a lobby is full for some reason, it just keeps re-queing until it finds a server to join. Very annoying to have to keep pressing 'Find Session' 20 times in a row because the game can't find a suitable server
Few things I think from playing so far.
1. bump method ( tap method ) in stack .
2. Kits on your back and AI back that are interactive. I.e. demo charges , mags, etc.
3. More ambiance in the scenerio. For instance , suspects conversating or shouting at hostages. Hostages yelling or pleading for help etc..
4. More to detail GSW( gun shot wounds) for instance shooting suspects in leg and limps off to safety leaving blood trail.
5. Better NVG replicated. Way too vibrant.
6. The AI just needs more life in it. As of now , they feel like chess pieces just waiting to interact. With that said , yall leaps and bounds above most AAA companies. Keep up great work

Traps are fine as they are, but I think the trick is the context when they appear. A group of opportunistic, panicked hostage taking plebs in a garage isn't the same as taking on an organised terrorist force who have deliberately planned and executed individual hostage targets / bomb placing.
My counter to that is that IEDs are really easy to make and anyone paranoid about the cops/feds raiding their place would set them up

Personally, and from what my friends have said, we really like the learning curve of this game. It's actually great that it's unforgiving. When we die, we know why we died (usually) and so it is completely our fault and we want to get better.
Once you know what to look for, it's a fair system that punishes sloppy / neglectful plays
There should be a way to order people surrendering to move to you, or a location. The amount of times someone surrenders in a place where you cant get to them without being in extreme danger is a lot.
That would be cool. For now though I think it's more like: they won't be a threat again and so your main priority should be to clear any remaining threats like in real life
The one thing SWAT 4 has over RoN currently off top of head is ability to run / execute commands through your team-mate's Camera PoV, as when opened up fully that was possible. Made coordinating breaches on fly easier
Is that true? I assumed that if you don't watch them, they can unsurrender so to speak, or go for the gun. Also fully agree on traps. At first I was annoyed, but once I looked up how to check for them with the mirrorgun I absolutely love it now. If anything, my suggestion is that there should be a tutorial that goes through things like that, to prevent frustration.

This is pretty miner, but it'd be really cool to get flashbang traps on some of the doors in the sgoothouse. When im training new players, it's hard to get accross to them what to look for when checking for traps, and LTL traps would be a perfect way to train people to look

High effort suggestion. Have the choice in a menu to be a left handed operator. Use all weapons and tools reverse of right handed operators, excluding things like the C2 detonator and others. Another feature request is to be able to change handedness with a keybind, e.g. switch which side you shoulder your gun on. This will help with corners, doors, battering ram use, and others.
Different feedback suggestion. For flash trapped doors, dont flash the person unless they were in the room, in the doorway, or on the hinge side of the door (assuming the trap is on the handle side.).
I think the game needs a little something to penalize the damage done on your body, for example if I have an arm broken there should be idle arm swing when aiming, when both broken maybe disable aiming entirely. with legs your aim could sway more when moving.
I havent lived long enough with damaged limbs to know if they're in already but if not, a slight improvement to the effects of damage could be great for realism.
An actual lobby browser would be nice. Takes me forever to find a match sometimes.

- Single Player Tutorial encouraging people to play like an actual SWAT team (right now every Public matches felt like a mix of R6S and CoD, some people just keep rushing in and dies.)
- Default gearset to select and customize (this will help new player that has no clue what kinds of gear they need to bring, and being able to customize means experienced player can make his own loadouts)
- Let the player see the 3D model in front of the screen and able to rotate the gun model around when customizing guns! (Because quality of life stuff like this is great and this part of the game does not need to be very realistic, cmon)

Make non lethal more effective. Perhaps. I've had issues. The npc aimbots I hit it with 1-2 rounds beanbags or paintball no reaction.

Me and my friends have been running penetration testing on the different body armor pieces in the game, I got some advice from people who are/were actually either SWAT or worked with SOF. Here's what we found:

.300 Blackout does not go through the mandible in two shots. It should go through in one shot unless the ammo is subsonic. It sounds like it isn't subsonic when fired with a suppressor. M4A1 Penetrates the mandible in one shot as it should though so it might be a value difference in the weapons themselves and not the armor.

It is believed that FBI HRT and FBI SWAT use level 4 Defender plates, though it isn't 100% public knowledge and nobody I know is sure. Through our trials we found it to be level III armor due to it not stopping up to 7 rounds of 5.56 M855.

When finding an unresponsive NPC, there should be a feature where you can make a path using chemlights to let the EMTs know where the safest route would be to go and add in EMT NPCs that will pathfind their way to the incapacitated NPC using the deployed chemlights. When within a certain radius of an armed NPC they will run away. When within a certain radius of an incapacitated NPC the EMTs should automatically pathfind to the incapacitated NPC.

personally i think the ai is fine. makes the game difficult, i get they can 180 insta kill you but all more to just planning a better stratergy rather than fighting them head on. plus its balanced when compared to how busted the ballistic shield is

8 hours in, loving it so far, very much like swat 4 in feel, my main suggestion based on my time so far is that i'd love a command to tell my ai officers to face a certain direction (or roll that functionality into "move here" or "cover" maybe) so that i can rely on my guys to cover a certain angle, like the corner of a hallway

A faster movement mode, sometimes I feel like I need to get out of buildings a little bit faster as sometimes im being lit up threw walls.
Teamkill penalty should carry to the next match to the perpetrator. Not the first time a teammate kills teammates and civilians at the end of the mission ruining the score for all the players
an ability to sprint would be nice, but for the pacing a penalty for sprinting should be bumping off of walls if you run into one and getting disoriented, etc. I've ran into/out of rooms and gotten my gear caught on door knobs and the edges of counters and stuff so that'd be a neat way to balance it out.
Shopping Mall and Airport maps
I was thinking that this game really needs maps set in those two locations. I bet it would suit the game really well and could pose an interesting challenge. Although they would have to be quite large in order to be realistic.
I also had an idea that if an airport map was to be done, there could be a small section where you have to raid a passenger plane
Been reading about it all over but I'll toss in my 2 cents - Holy fuck civilian AI need to be addressed. Seems like they either drop as soon as they see you or they run 10,000 miles (and 10,000 more). Pepper spray and 4 dudes yelling doesn't do much at all it seems like, and having the HVT run around in a circle in a wedged off room for 30 seconds, while funny, really ruins any immersion that may have been built up during a mission.
PS. Maybe review the voices too. Obviously the game is still a WiP and that's pretty low on the to-do, but it could use a look over. Repeating voicelines + not quite fitting the grim tone of the rest of the game are surprisingly noticable after a while. And please look into adding more actors and/or adjusting the women's VA as well. "NICE GUNS/TATTOOS/YOU MIGHT KNOW HER" 
PPS. On the same note of voicelines... death sounds are top notch.

Recoil is so high on all assault rifles with the grips even. Also it's unclear what differences a lot of weapons have in terms of damage etc stats.
I know this has probably already been complained about a thousand times, but the AI reacts too quick sometimes. Now, I know that you could just stun them or flashbang to supplement this, but it's still annoying and unsatisfyingly unrealistic that they seem to be unhindered by well... being human. I've noticed their guns don't seem to get blocked either if they're closer to doors or walls like the players do, so if you're against a door with a bad guy right on the otherside and they notice you, they're gonna start blasting and you still have to back up before you can even shoot. I also had a suspect with a shotgun spin on me in like 10ms, I know it's my fault for not thinking about stunning them, but you have to admit that still seems a bit unfair. Basically dude wasn't facing me, hadn't noticed me yet, called out for him to put his weapon down, dead instantly.
Seem many are mentioning AI behaviour. I think it would be cool if the AI got a somewhat more advanced scripting. That the AI had a certain mission on the different maps. A purpose. Now it seems like they are idling until the player triggers them. Then the AI wakes up and go all crazy. With a more advanced AI system (much more movement and different actions) would make the AI enemy a bigger challenge for the players. š
Allow for 4 if not more reload animations per weapon or let this be possible with mods, I remember installing reload anims for cs source and one had like 4 or 5 different reload and pull out animations it was so cool. A. that's because recoil is high on assault rifles. B. It depends on what the system is hiding but generally rifles will be relatively similar in terms of damage. The .300 rifle and SA-58 should be a bit more drastic in results though. Same goes for SMGs and shotguns. Id say the differences in stats arent significant enough to justify a UI element dedicated to showing them.

This game needs some polishing badly. It has a great idea but too many times have I seen a game look promising and fail to deliver. Bullet penetration is way off. Bots seem to find you behind a wall no problem, but try and shoot a bot through a wall and youll find yourself fubar'd. I have hope for this game but also could see this concept being big fished by some other gaming company. I hope the best for the game but after 12 hours in this alpha I won't pick it up again til there is more work.

I dont like having to immediately press f or die in 5 seconds. Doesnt make sense, would prefer a longer bleed out time. As it is now, I either press f and die to enemy or I hold an angle and die to not pressing f. Even if you are wounded, if you can still shoot, you are still supposed to do your job with suppressive fire. Feels gamey a bit that I just died for not pressing f.
The only time you apply self aid is when you are absolutely safe. Not in the immediate five seconds of getting shot.
I think that the leaning system needs a little bit of changing. When moving while leaning, your stance should not change from being in a non-moving position. Oftentimes i try to lean in a corner and think i have a good angle only to stop moving and have the lean be completely different. Also I think that the procedural leaning needs to be slower. Nonetheless I think the gunplay is phenomenal, but this is a big issue with the combat system.
I would like to try 8 players as advertised. I think players should to custom max players because this game supports moddings and someone would like to play with 7 players as planned before release.
There should be a cooldown timer in between compliance calls (F). It sounds weirdly unnatural, somewhat ruining the realism aspect, when operators overlap their speech or callouts.
I shoot a lot of guns in real life, its a fun hobby. I was wondering why there is no animation to pull the bolt back on the M4 and Hk416 when you reload the magazine to chamber the next round?
the character uses the bolt release. i think the bolt gets pulled when you draw the gun the first time though (like when you change weapon or deployment)
Doesn't the M4's bolt go back automatically once the magazine is out of rounds? I've shot an M16 and I never needed to manually pull the bolt back unless I got it fresh off the gun rack. The only time I remember is when I've had misfires and had to do some maintenance. Unless you're just thinking of the bolt 'release' and not 'pull'

It's definitely not a forever game, but the replayabilty is surprisingly high with the random suspect/civilian/trap placement.
100+ since im trying to perfect my tactics, becoming faster and better in reactions, and play with alot of different people and its fun seeing their different play styles

Bullet effect needs a pass. Lost all armor on my torso and arms to a suspect that double tapped me with a Makarov.
Makarovs are next to useless against even soft body armor, much less the hard ceramic or steel plates we use in game.

This is for single player, I think there should be a way to command members of your squad on a door to move in without having to be near the door, I had my blue team and red team on separate doors and couldnāt get red team to move in as the same time as blue team cause I couldnāt tell them to move in all the way at the other door.
You can tell a squad to stack and queue an order to execute remotely.
If you queue both teams on different doors use the execute command in the gold menu.

They need to fix the recoil, it makes no sense. There should be a tangible difference with the grips and between them, speed grip should have different benefit to others hq the weapon moves with your mouse. How fast you can draw into aiming position, how much recoil and how it handles, shotgun attachment could be added
Getting shot as a team mate quite a lot there should be some clearer indicators for friendlies.
That hesitation costs you your life. Also let player adjust vertical and horizontal sensitivity separately. Tazer attachment.
I agree that the recoil on all the guns is too much currently. But I kinda like the idea of grips just being cosmetic. They really donāt do much irl beyond allowing the shooter to change how he holds the gun to suit his taste.

At 10 yards two shots takes your aim off the target. Thatās not realistic at all

if orange (possibly what the game model was going for) it should be highlighter orange and the stock should have a tag saying less lethal

wand + shield would break balance as would increased armor and unlimited healing from a medkit, also you wouldn't transport that much gear at once

I completed a Solo Run Baracaded Suspect on Gas Station - No Armor/ - No Bots- No Flash/Chemlights/Tacticals No Penalties (took about 100+ runs)
Let me tell you, that not being able to move detained suspects is what caused so many failed attempts

You can easily say you are solo and forgot your vest in the car, only with a rifle and handgun you try and stop the suspects... You have to use your imagination sometimes to have fun and give a challenge
Last little suggestion, if you end up adding other cities other than Los Suenos; it'd be very interesting to see the rules of engagement change between each one.

Yeah, I get that role playing is fun, but the loading screen is literally of you in the swat van geared up getting briefed on the situation. But even aside that, you're asking for stuff in the game based on your unintended method of playing, but I suppose being able to move suspects is useful, I just think in a situation where there are multiple gunmen it's best to just secure the person and move forward. I know time isn't really an issue (except for bomb defusal) but in real life it's expected that swat clear everything before moving civvies/suspects.

A civilian in the middle of a door frame or a suspect detained in your line of fire is a major concern, if you want to use Real Life Scenarios at the safest point you are going to remove personnel from the fatal funnels in a corner away from fire, not keep them sitting in the middle of a doorway or a hallway

Some days ago I said here that the price of the game in Chile was way too high, well, after looking at the game's website and noticing that it was still available for purchase there, I also noticed that the price of the base game on Steam is roughly the same as buying the supporter edition on the website. I think some mistake was made when pricing it on Steam and they put the supporter edition price tag instead of the standard.

In swat 4, one of the missions gave you a crudely drawn map on a napkin. I think they need to add something, but not a fully detailed map as that usually unrealistic in most situations.
Man the perps movements are so much snappier and faster than your own. Wish the movement system was a less inhibited by reloading or whatever. The perps just do it all blazingly fast. And are able to run.
hotel could be a floor layout map, compound could be blueprints or going in blind, 216 wouldn't show the tunnels, etc

Yes lets make the game for "soyboys" since you are one obviously. Remove recoil, buff attachments, make armor stronger. Listen to yourself. None of these changes are needed in the slightest, the armor works just as it should. Use some tactics instead of expecting to tank a mag from a gun because you put on a vest that covers like 30% of your body. Maybe if they put in someone who's not a soyboy as you we'd be better off, maybe some scottish lines delivered by a hunk too.

AI are cracked out of their mind but I'm sure that's a common feedback here. Maybe depending on where a player was shot give them a chance to be revived instead of instadeath, and I think being able to drag an injured buddy out of the line of fire would be pretty cool and useful

COOP with AI teammates suggestion, 870 pump suppressor suggestion and general praise
Game is awesome, guns feel weighty and have a ton of impact, love the snappiness of the recoil. Gunplay is just overall awesome. Game looks amazing, beautiful frankly. It's moody, dark and intense. A few suggestions I have are make it so that in a co-op multiplayer game, you can have bots. My friend and I are having trouble just doing the two of us in missions. Organizing the bots into a squad of their own would be awesome. For example 2 players and a 3 man squad of bots to order around, or 3 players and a 2 man team of bots. I'm not sure how this would work with coding, but I assume a 3 man team of bots could be implemented, because it'd be similar to a scenario in single player where an officer is down, and you order Gold team [now three bots, like there would be in co-op multiplayer] to do an action. This would make the game a lot more playable with just co-op two player gameplay. Another suggestion I have thats a small one, unlike my suggestion above, is to add a suppressor for the 870 pump. The gun would cycle manually as it's a pump, so you don't have to worry about the lower gas pressures that a suppressor would generate. It would give a reason to use the pump over the M4 shotgun which is semi-auto and just better in my experience. However, my biggest issue with the game right now is that my friend and I struggle to play together because it's just the two of us against the world, with no AI to fill out the 5 slots required. Overall though, the game is simply awesome and I'm having a lot of fun, and I'm sure it will only get better as time goes on and more content is added!
View/aim mobility is too restricted when you are leaning. I just shot someone with a shotgun right in front of me, they had a tec9 I died even though I shot them first, full up heavy armor with ballistic mask.

Im sure this has been brought up before, But it would be nice to request civilians who are surrendering but not yet cuffed to crawl towards you. It sucks when civilians surrender infront of a room that hasnt been cleared yet
Three things I want to address - there should be an additional option of clearing with ballistic shield going first (I don't how to make NPC use it, it's not explained anywhere), the option to customize weapons from the gear menu (right now I can't customize weapons of my AI team) and take a look at enemy spawns as I often get shot while loading in the match because enemy spawn right in front of the player, for example 213 Park Homes has a spawn behind a fence on stairs that is directly in front of the player and since NPCs react so fast it's a kill of a player or AI 100% of time when this spawn occurs
To get an AI to use a shield, from memory, MMB, Deploy, Shield. Unfortunately they will put it away if you for them a two handed order.

When you try and open a door and it gets blocked, 100% of the time its a suspect and you're able to shoot through the door. Would be interesting to add civilians that can block doors/are forced to block doors by suspects.

This is my biggest gripe with this damn game. I was JUST finishing up clearing the hotel. The VERY LAST room, the VERY LAST Suspect and or Civilian. It shows the optiwand, then right as a tap 'F' on my keyboard, it switches to kick. I can not tell you how many time this has gotten me killed.
Accidental kicking is one of the most annoying things for me in this game. Please, if there is a way to refine this please do so. This has ended so many runs for me and probably others.
I think this would be a really good addition to lesson the questions about future updates: make a roadmap channel for updates you plan on doing. Don't even have to make dates for it, it'll just make the community more excited as well. Possibly could put this on your website as well

Weapon Damage
I would love to know what kind of armor the suspects have, because there are times to rounds from a shotgun can't kill a suspect when the suspect is wearing what looks to be basically cardboard. There are times i'm wearing heavy armor and a suspect a glock (which is a 9mm in most cases) but proceeds to destroy my armor and kill me in two shots. I just feel the ballistics system either need to be equaled out between ai and players, or improved in someway. Because I feel that its stupid a suspect with a pistol and thin armor can beat me, when i'm wearing heavy equipment and rocking a rifle that shoots 5.56.
I honestly think that utility such as: flashbangs, stingers, and gas don't really effect suspects. It feels like they just ignore them. (Also please add a pregame map or something)

one of the things I like more in SWAT 4 is the voice acting. namely when being told to surrender, you get "Drop the gun, Do it now!", "Police, on your knees!", "Police, get those hands up!", etc.. The tones of voice are also not exaggerated/gritty like in RoN, where they sound kind of like they're from an action movie. They dont really yell or sound like they're giving serious commands. Its more of an annoyed, sort of gritty tone

Flashbangs only work if the suspects are looking in the direction of the flash (from my experience)
Stingers dont work if they are wearing any type of body armor (from my experience)

Overall thoughts:
Weapons
Recoil feels weird across the board. Shooting on automatic IRL is more controllable because you can pull the gun closer to your torso and direct the recoil into your center mass, where that energy has more room to dissipate. I don't know if attachments do anything quite yet, if not that's no big deal, but for the most part the assault rifles should have similar recoil "kick" and a near similar pattern. The M4A1 in game and the SR-16 have similar barrel lengths and the same direct impingement gas system and fire identical ammunition. They should have near identical recoil before attachments are taken into account. The 416 ought be extremely similar as well. The SBR-300, in 300 Blackout, should be a little bit more recoil shot per shot, but not incredibly much because 300 black was designed to not kick that much harder than 5.56. The SA-58 obviously ought to kick like a mule, being a short barreled FN FAL and holy goddamn shit does 7.62 kick out of a short barrel. Additionally, most of the assault rifles support 3 round burst fire modes and I believe the H&K offers a trigger group for the 416 that is semi/burst/full for police/military purchase.
Submachine guns would benefit from having burst fire modes to capitalize on their low recoil impulse and I believe H&K and SIG offer S/B/A trigger groups for LE/military purchasers. Otherwise the SMGs feel pretty nice.
Shotguns need differentiation. There's no reason to take the 870 over the M4 because they have identical capacities, identical attachments, and the same ammo but one can be fired on semi. Why take the pump? Ammo options like slugs or low power for suppressed use would be my suggestion to give the 870 a reason to live.
Armor
Body armor needs looking at. The armor we wear is of the correct thickness to be either Level 3+ or 4 plates on front and back. As is, suspects with 9mm pistols can double tap our armor completely off and finish us off in under a second, despite this armor being rated to resist current generation M855A1 rounds. Even the shoulders on heavy armor are increasingly being fitted with ceramic or steel inserts. Either body armor needs to behave authentically, in that it no sells things it's rated to resist, or we need to be given Level 3A soft armor instead. A Makarov cannot, repeat cannot, breach the body armor we wear, or the 3A ballistic Ops Core helmets we wear. This kind of armor is why stuff like M995 AP rounds exist.
AI
This is the thorny one. The AI varies wildly between drunken comedy buddy cop movie and T-800, sometimes in the same AI. There needs to be a larger gradient between detection and reaction and the AI's knowledge of player position needs to be nerfed a bit. If they detect you, even if you're completely unmoving through a wall, they can reliably wallbang you with clean headshots and they'll follow your movement through solid objects. Either the AI detects where we are based on what we see (if we see a specific part of a wall, the AI extrapolates where we are based on that) or it's being fed information from the game engine once they change state from passive to combat. This makes them inconsistent even among their "factions" and it makes them extremely lethal once they detect the player. It also makes it frustrating as a player to get absolutely demolished by an AI in a split second when they wallbang the entire team with headshots even with no feasible way of knowing where we are.
EDIT: Before I forget, 5.56 on auto is actually pretty controllable. The round has low recoil impulse and modern guns are designed to direct recoil into the shooter's shoulder. Combine this with a grip of pretty much any kind and a brake and you can auto fire until the barrel runs red.

I was just wondering, is tackle planned for this game? As former SWAT member (Chris the Cop) said in his SWAT 4 commentary, pepper spraying or tazing a scared civilian is a big no no. I know that this is just a game but still, things like this kind of break the immersion.

The Ballistic Shield has lights on the front, however, you can not turn them on.
I've only used the shield once and I did not like it as I could not see, with the lights working I feel that I would enjoy using one

Ok my only other feedback currently would be to make some SWAT 2 style levels. Honestly to this day probably some of the best SWAT style levels ever made between SWAT 2 and 3. Probably because this was during the time that Sierra still had LAPD advisors on the payroll.
Good examples would be the first bank robbery level or the airport hotel sniper level. Both very well done and have a really good Police SWAT feel

To be fair, even the SWAT officer online said that in 20 years of being in SWAT he never saw optiwand because as such it does not exists. On the other hand, borescope exists and the optics are not fixed, but flexible. Don't get me wrong, I don't think that changing optiwand is crucial, I was just mentioning it as an example of feedback that relates to both existing and suggested features. As for what SWAT 4 is ... It is 2005 game. Many things were probably not done differently due to technical limitations of that time. So I don't think that VOID should stick to SWAT 4 like crazy but instead build upon it and consider it a very strong foundation.

I guess for me I'd rather have a recognizable silhouette for equipment on my teammates back so I know what each person has at a glance but to each their own. A swap option wouldn't be too bad tho

Hey, in the middle of a match on Twisted, but I'm noticing that people are kinda bullet proof. Hit a suspect in the forehead with a magnum, guy just kept coming. Magdumped .308 into a woman's bare torso, she didn't care.

In swat 4 the penalty was you couldnāt advance to the next mission if your score was too low. So if you killed civilians you literally couldnāt advance in the game. Bring that back when the campaign is a thing

I guess the argument is like having the faceshield, nvgs, and the anti flash goggles on one person it would work but why wouldn't you put everything on if there's no reason not to. IMO balancing is more than just eSports lol, it's difficulty.

Hope the actual missions will be different. Like there should be someone goes to the roof some repels some take basement / tunnel / sewers into building, to flank coordinate some breach with verticality, larger maps, more sequential and rolling dynamic objectives based on what players did / how the situation turned out. Like, cinematic complex scenarios that require slower pace and have a lot of variety and complexity. Maybe it is their vision and its just early access. Got hopes for the modding support as well.
Why do I have tactical revolver where as everyone else has a normal one. I got accused of hacking and reported for this and for running with shield and throwing nade in lobby.

[Thoughts on the Active Shooter Mode]
The Active Shooter mode is one of the big innovations RoN has made. It completely flips the 'slow and methodical' pace on its head, punishing you for being too slow. Every moment plays with your mind, making you wonder if you've made the right choice, or if you're going to hear more gunshots. I'll never forget feeling absolutely helpless as I tried to kick in a door as I heard gunshots, wishing I'd brought a breaching tool instead of a mirror gun.
That being said, I'd like to see some changes/additions:
- Remove the need to restrain bystanders for the mode and replace it with the need to report all casualties
My understanding of protocol during these incidences is that the Police focus on dealing with the shooter(s) and that's it. I feel like it really drags out the gameplay when you have to spend what feels like 75% of your time chasing down the last civilian. Instead, during this mode make the player have to report all casualties. I feel this would be a good balance between making this mode flow better yet still forcing the player to witness the carnage they were unable to prevent.
- Reduce penalty for civilian fatalities.
It's a total crapshoot to stop everyone from dying during these events (something I've only been able to do once). Most times I play I get an 'E' rating despite doing everything that can be reasonably expected of me as a player. I think if the penalty for downed civilians was halved for this mode, it'd help to make scoring more reasonable.
- Add the option to 'go solo' and to have randomized/less kit
To my understanding, most Police departments in the US push for a 'immediate' response. As an optional 'Hard Mode' it'd make sense (and add challenge) if players had to respond on their own, and/or didn't get all their toys such as grenades or gadgets. Maybe equipment could be randomized.
The situation where you run around the map looking for some straggler civilian needs to be removed its very unlikely they would know how many people are in any given locale and to have players run around like idiots for 10-infinity minutes makes no sense.
Make them sob or yell is it safe to come out or run out of the building, jump out of the window or some shit, give the ability to the player to yell its safe to come out or something.
Make it so if the host leaves, the mission continues. It really sucks when they get salty that they die while people are still engaged in the mission

I think adding multiple deploy point options and a map of the AO would be real handy. Realistically, officers wouldnāt go in without blueprints or other layout information available to them, and adding multiple start points will increase replay value a lot.

i love what the Ai says when you encounter them i think it would be cool if they can taunt the player warning us about the traps, ,attempting to grab weapons on the floor if you don't bag it for evidence, and throw back grenades if possible
Being able to or even being required to escort civilians out of the area might do well, instead of handcuffing them to the ground for no reason
I think being required to escort civilians could drag the game out, especially on some of the larger maps. That being said, I would like the ability to (at least attempt to) call them towards me so I can get them closer to me and out of danger zones.

Further thoughts:
Maps
Some of the maps feel too large for a 4 man team to feasibly be expected to be responsible for securing. Hotel feels like one of those maps where there would feasibly be more than one SWAT team on scene at a time to cover that much space. AI spawns and placements feel like they could be diversified a bit or you have this situation where you can go into a map and be like "oh the AI spawns here and they patrol there and etc" If this game is meant to be infinitely replayable then these need to be diversified. I'd probably also adjust some of the lighting. Most of the maps don't feel like they need NVs and the one or two that does still isn't that dark. Taking some inspiration from The Forest where night is not just dark, but actually black would work nicely. This could also pair with something like an IR flashlight instead of an IR laser.

Using the HK416 iron sights is difficult because the rear aperture is on the wrong setting, closed rear aperture should only be used for longer distance shooting and not for CQC since youāre limiting your FOV. The rear aperture should reflect the blue circle pic.
Seams reasonable to me. I would not want to be in the same room that I trapped with an explosive device.

Shotgun feeding needs to be interruptable. You must be able to abort feed and shoot.
Wedges are a bit too op, suspects should be able to shoot it or shoot the door/handle the get through. Thats how it can be in real life.

i have an idea, it might be stupid but just an idea i got good feedback on;
make TOC a role, you arent with the squad, but you have a split feed of the helmet cams and a blueprint of the building/map and you talk to your squad and constant comms are needed for accurate runs. like "squad reporting in from room x" "okay you should be looking at x amount of doors and windows" (optional, you, as toc, are responsible for marking a civilian/suspect as in custody or expired)

Shotgun reloading is overall buggy unfortunately.
If I am a criminal and I never heard about wedges and the door is blocked and I see something below it, I'm going to shoot it, kick it, whatever to be able to get through, you don't have to be a genius. And besides, Christopher Cano (in the swat for 20 years) did say they do not rely too much on wedges specifically because of that.
i don't think it's bugged but the mapping of the 2 different type of reload isn't intuitive at all they did the opposite of ground branch
I think itās bugged bc if you press R after firing nothing happens. When you double tap R after firing you may or may not reload all of the shells, two shells, or just one. When you sequentially press R after firing shells, haha, who knows what will happen. I use shotguns a lot.

I see thx frankly typically criminals are the innovators and at the forefront of technology so I figured it would make sense. Just some dummies or in some tense situations it would not make sense to kick and stomp away at a wedge if swat is around the corner. Which is what I imagined but I suppose wedges are put there and you are pressing on into the opposite direction.
i tried on multiple games i always reload multiple shells when pressing r 1 time and only one shell when pressing it 2 times so idk, but the breaching shotgun is definitely bugged

yes and i found that no matter what number of time i hit r with the breaching one it's always one at the time and they disappear sometimes for me too

Only happens on this map, at least what i have noticed. 60h so far and have not noticed it happen on any other map.

- difficult" the issue is the AI killing your through houses. Yes, they will for real kill you through tunnel walls at some scenarios.
- I get the AI are supposed to be hard, but when they shoot you through 5-10m walls then it sort of kills it for a team or solo player. Because obviously we cant shoot them through
- concrete walls.
My questions is: Do they auto-lock and full auto based on the first interaction with no stop EVEN IF the visual is gone? Because it sure seems like it, if that is the case it must be changed or is that really intended?
I noticed them shooting through the windows + closed curtains. And through walls on other maps.
Possible to edit the AILevelData file to reduce or remove traps already but the game seriously need much more info on each map: scenario, what's going on what happened (already there but need more) and suspects (background, skill set (if any) etc.) to make more sense of everything and what we can ~expect. For example: barricaded suspects are typical gang members, no mention of military background whatsoever, then we should not expect traps and there shouldn't be any.
functionally, one of my favorite hubs in a coop game is in vermintide 2 because you can both interact with things (mission select, crafting tables, etc) as well as simply press a hotkey to access them no matter where you are in the hub
i would like to see something like that in this game because walking to each individual function gets a little annoying

Minor gripe. When holding the shield with the pistol behind it, the dude's finger is on the trigger. Finger should be off the trigger until ready to fire.
Incorporate the ai mod as default, it's much more fun when ai isn't a killing machine
to be honest... its a solid game, but replay ability needs to happen. either money, leveling or some sort of skill base needs to happen to make replay ability happen. I havent touched this game in about a week, some due to it being the holidays / busy but mostly just due to the fact that if i spend 1 hour to 12 hours;... im still stuck at the same point. IMO, force beginners to only afford pistols, basic armor / no armor, etc. and make levels give you money back. make it so you have to purchase any load outs, armor, etc. in order to have some sort of progression. at the current state, theres no reason to use anything but 1 or 2 guns due to them being 'overpowered'. Second thing, make it so we have to do basic levels for every map, but after accomplishing A or B on that level, thats when we unlock the next. That way, some people that only like one map can no life it or give people a sense of accomplishment when they actually get a solid score. At the current state, i cant either kill all civilians / do it perfectly and nothing matters. I love the game, even with less than 24 hours into it, but i just find a lack of need to come back to the game other than 'i want to play it'. i hope some good changes come with it. the maps are solid / decent for what they are. Gas station is probably my favorite just due to the map being overall equal to either side, unlike other maps is geared towards other players / play style.
The feels when you get shot through shield, shotgun does not let you shoot during reload/feed, toon moves weapon out of way locking you out of firing it. Bash is so lame and it doesn't work half the time. Enemies one shot your heavy armor with shotgun, pistol. Even through shield

Traps... this feature needs looking into a lot!
- traps are placed randomly on places where it makes absolutely no sense eg why do you trigger office door in a stupid car dealer park??? You want to troll your partners in crime by blowing them up?
Its just one example... if you want to use traps then make them guard something important where it make sense even from defender perspective...

Well it forces only one way of gameplay. Kicking / breaching doors is a suicide.
You HAVE to use sci fi cam to check whats behind door and if there is a trap.
If you dont want to use cam you have to unlock the doors, peek doors and then disarm if there is a trap...
Its truly boring as hell. I want to be able to kick majority of doors without worry of being blown to bits...
Guys dont even try to convince me that it is common that swat team arrives on some drug bust and those guys instantly rig several doors with granades... or that they have it rigged all the time because thise criminals are so smart that they always remember which doors are rigged while they work there...
Really this needs some attantion to make it meaningful and fun feature.

I think it's worth keeping in mind traps aren't finalized. I get a feeling some of the traps in game will be replaced with milder traps such as alarms and motion detectors that would be more realistic. That being said, I do have the following thoughts on traps.

I don't think there should be a score penalty for setting of traps. The penalty should be setting off the trap, whether that be flashbanging yourself, fragging yourself, or setting off an alarm or whatever other traps are planned.

AI should be more reactive to traps. There's gotta be no better entry time to spring an ambush than blinding/blasting an entry team, or to set up a defensive position, or even start executing hostages like you told the negotiators you would if anyone tried to stop you.
3)Not all maps should have traps. The Gas Station certainly shouldn't (maybe unless its an alarm for the store to prevent break ins), and I'd probably keep explosives away from the bunch of druggies in 213 Park House.
- Whilst not a trap per say, I'd like to see suspects put clutter around the map. Things like pushed over tables or other obstructions. Zero Hour does this and it's one of the best features of that game, as it forces the player to adapt, even if they've played a map a dozen or so times.
This game is amazing. It reminds me of when I was playing SWAT 4 many years ago but updated. It is noted that it is early access in certain playable and performance sections so it can improve even more.
Weapon customization should be possible in a briefing, it is tedious having to go in and out every time you want to change weapons or accessories. It would be nice to have the possibility to create different presets such as: CQC, SMG, Non-lethal, etc. Or create your own.
In the gear section, a medium armor would be a good addition. Night vision is annoying even in situations of maximum darkness, lower contrast of green.
In the grenades section, we should be able to choose different varieties, not just 8 of a single type. For example 6 maximum, but 3 gas, 2 stinger and 1 flash. The quick action button G should throw either the last grenade used or the one with the least amount left, indicated in the lower left icon.
(This could be better developed with full gear weight or whatever you can think of but now it's perfect)
A level creator please would be awesome.
When playing co-op the room should be filled with bots, if for example I play with another person, one bot for each one. It could be assigned in the briefing because ingame they would go crazy with all the players giving orders to the same bot.
Crouching in 3P Mesh is lower than 1P camera.
Leaning is more visible in 1P camera than in 3P mesh.
To verify that, shoot the wall straight, and watch yourself using teammate headcam.
The same thing with leaning.

Yeah got enough going on without having to play some sort of silly minigame.
As it currently stands the tables near the shooting range for weapon customization are too far from other loadout selection/shooting range. I'd suggest moving the table right behind the stalls or even combining it with the loadout screen entirely. Currently the immersion it adds is not worth the extra tedium.
It should work how it does in Ground Branch TBH, where you just walk up to the locker and equip/customize all your stuff in the same place.
Enemy AI has unrealistic accuracy and perception.

I'm talking about the shooting range table. It's an extra 20-30 seconds every time you want try different scopes or attachments. A problem compounded by lack of stats and effects of attachments to a gun rn.

Music Feedback
I think the music is good, but not as good as it can be. I think the soundtrack needs to feel more eerie and unnerving to capture the feeling of anxiety when not knowing what is around the next corner. A piece that does this really well is the music from the Clean House mission in Modern Warfare 2019. It was enough to keep me on edge but also subtle so that most players would not notice it. I think it perfectly captures the gritty feeling of the game and could really enhance the experience (I also think the more inspiration taken from that level the better. It is a prime example of a CQB experience).

WAY too many traps, in fact i think they shouldn't be there at all, maybe on a few select maps in a few select scenarios - meth dealers don't booby trap houses with military explosives, makes the game feel like Rainbow 6 Siege instead of a true tactical simulation of SWAT work

The game needs SIGNIFICANTLY more house raid/small maps - house raids are by far the most common type of SWAT call and by far the most fun in-game, it's just more realistic,

The maps feel confusing and maze-like, they are way too "engineered", some of them are simply too big (Port Hoken is fun, but it's ridiculous for one metropolitan SWAT team to operate on such a big area) - instead i would suggest replicating real life houses and buildings without thinking too much about how the map plays, in real life SWAT teams don't get to pick and choose and often have to work with what they have. Open spaces are fun if done correctly. TL;DR - more small, realistic house maps, less confusing, maze-like and open space maps.

Game lobbies should be hosted on dedicated servers, not the hosts computer - this leads to massive latency and requires a good internet connection from the session host (i am aware of how costly this would be, but i hope it's coming in the future)

Enemies range from complete dumbasses to elite marksmen - they can headshot you through a stone tunnel wall with a Glock 19 - AI needs improvements although i'm sure the devs are completely aware of this.

Active shooter scenarios are pretty much impossible to ace, hostage rescue is possible although ridiculously difficult if you're not lucky with enemy spawns. This is also due to no building plans and intel in briefing.

Because of the teasers i expected realistic ragdoll reactions to bullets (something like GTA 4, Euphoria ragdoll physics engine) and realistic bullet wounds, to my disappointment enemies fall flat on their face like a lifeless sack of potatoes after they get shot and bullet wounds are limited to disappointing blood sprites on bodies, call me a psycho but i think gore and realistic wounds are necessary to accurately depict the brutal reality of police work, and Unreal Engine gives you all the tools needed to make it, there shouldn't be much left in place of someones head when he gets blasted from point blank range with a shotgun,

yeah the glow sticks dont seem to last that long despite being glow sticks.
that stuff should be lasting quite awhile, if anything the whole time you're playing on the map.
Planes and other civilian filled map(s)
Although rare there are many notable hijackings in aviation history. I would love a to have to make an approach and clear out a large passenger plane. Obviously it would likely be full of civilians which may complicate things but its a very difficult scenario both irl and in games.
Another thing I'd love to see is a mall or some sort of shopping center. Currently all the maps are very dark and it feels like everyone who is there is up to something. I'd love to see some more variation. Another idea is a sports stadium venue. Although it could be partially empty by the time the player arrives. The underside of most stadiums is a maze of tunnels and rooms. And if it's an indoor stadium there is likely various catwalks and other areas well above the playing surface that could make that area quite difficult.

not how I would have said it but I agree, traps should really be in specific situation with the right suspects that has the background and skill set to actually put traps. By the way Ive edited the AILevelData file and basically that issue can be "fixed" already, will release it on nexusmods soon enough.
Some suspects can do a 180 no-scope in 0.1 seconds and headshot 3 officers while doing so, this is just ridiculous.....

Also, healing system should really be less forgiving and realistic at a minimum, healing yourself after being shot should definitely not be a simple bandage that you can apply in seconds.

now that Im thinking and saw a clip of mine, there shouldnt be such a thing as "injured and keep going" player and AI teammates, its a bit silly actually. Or maybe having to apply a CAT that take some time to do and then actually limping / not being able to hold your weapon correctly + really bad aim.

The swat teammate ai is decent, but when trying for A or S rank, itās a problem that they canāt seem to clear a room by themselves without at least 1 or 2 of them getting injured every time. Oftentimes I just tell them to hold while I flash and clear a room solo, because I know that I have a better chance of doing it on my own without losing points for injuries.
All models so far are right handed, so i suggest you remodel the gasmask so that the filter is on the LEFT side. IRL cant aim down the sights with the filter being on the right.

I am sure you guys get this a lot but for me the biggest issue is Movement Speeds vs Size of Maps.
I understand exactly what you are going for but it makes the end game really tedious if you miss reporting even one hostage, especially on outdoor maps. We have a group thats been playing with 3-5 players and even when we clear out a map with 2-3 players left it still takes an absurd amount of time to find the last missing hostage or suspect. I think the speed works okay for the indoor maps like the test levels and the hotel, but overall I think movement speeds across the board need a little nudge and there needs to be some kind of streamlined way to end a level when its clearly finished but just missing 1-2 things. Maybe a vote end early? I'm not sure but we have had to just give up and return to lobby way too many times on the larger maps.
The amount of downtime there is because of this is absurd. Dying in a mission even towards the end and just waiting for the 2 people to check ever nook and cranny is bad, but also combine the 20+ seconds spent in a mission briefing that doesn't give you any time to actually plan your attack (no floorplans to look at, can't do last second loadout changes, etc), then you go through and spend a lot of time walking around empty hallways, and in some cases even backtracking through completely clear areas. It makes it so we often have to restart if someone dies just so they don't get bored of watching us look for that last civ or whatnot.
There been any word on the getting the server selection working a bit better? So many times I get "full server" or just "connection lost"
Great game so far. Just a few suggestions that I'd like to see at some point in the future;
The ability to shoot out lights and get to some sort of panel in the location to shut off power/lights.
The bean bag shotgun to have more of an effect
A bat or stun bat to hit people with
The ability to break all windows
To have to take hostages out with you to a safe, secure location.
I'll probably think of more in the future but that's what I have for now.

Not @ this point, while the dev team take the time to condense all of the feedback since EA release it would be unwise to promise things in a road map that may change.
Although i have tried to twist their arm to do a dev-log when each update is released that goes a little further than just a change log.

I commend you guys for going outside the norms, and facilitating the hard conversation, but I don't really feel you're in a place to do that.
I mean, I still have hostages with Stockholm syndrome complimenting me on my tattoos. There's no level of authenticity or immersion, which is what I would hope would be your goal. Given that the AI are in such a bad shape, it almost feels disingenuous to add a school level to address a controversial topic. It does a disservice to your mission to create a "realistic experience", when the AI can be punched 15 times, and still wander away, just to finally tell me about a Mexican maid that they are trying to set me up with when I put them in handcuffs.
I don't disagree with a school shooter level, I think it's a great idea, but man, whoever is driving the priority of your development roadmap is questionable, because if realism is the thing you're trying to achieve, perhaps you should work on the things that currently make the game unrealistic or give some transparency on how you hope to achieve that.

You should automatically report anyone you restrain, feels redundant having to manually phone it in each time when the AI automatically calls it in after they restrain someone. One of the reasons why I always order them to restrain instead of doing it myself.
Hey! I just saw this video essay going into depth of the details, visuals and atmosphere of SWAT 4 and I'd love to see similar things mentioned here make it into the game. Especially some more detail and different scenarios added in the background. Like patrol cars pulled up on the scene, crowding civilians by the police barrier trying to get a look at what's going on, etc. Just stuff like that in the background that makes the game feel much more alive.

anyone else feel like the farm level is way too bugged? half the time the enemies are teleporting straight into the room that i clear with an aimbot for a gun. way too many enemies in the house
I tried playing it yesterday and when i ordered my ai squadmates around they went around the entire map to get where i told me to go even though its like 5 meters in front of me

yea i think this level is just unfinished lol it should be a raid considering there are 20 criminals and only 5 civs
@waxen thunder plus i noticed that on average, there is 4-5 criminals in the tunnels and then FIFTEEN criminals in the house/outdoor area alone. that is too much craziness in such a small area. especially considering the ai activate aimbot through concrete walls once they become aggressive

When disarming traps it doesn't make sense to say something along the lines of
"Copy that, disarming traps"
It would sound better if you didn't say "copy that" as most of the times there wasn't an order in the first place
It doesn't have to go to waste if its only used when AI respond to you giving them an order to disarm a trap
