There was a cipher in CoD zombies revealed in 2013

It was on the loading screen and it was an ADFGX cipher

it wasn’t until 2018 that it was cracked

The method began to reveal itself when we used the transposition key ZOMBIE

but something wasn’t adding up until it was realized that it wasn’t even encoded in English

So the substitution mapping was swapped from an English syntax to a German syntax

which then revealed that one of the lines in the cipher was a filler line

a line that said nothing

The method was remove the fake line, apply the transposition key, map each pair to the first unused letter to the English alphabet excluding J, apply substitution mapping

It shat out a German sentence that translated to “urgent the giant is in france”

2013 - 2018.

It's literally an in-universe play write that holds influence and is censored and even banned in countries

A man reads only but a page of the play write of the king in yellow and is convinced he is in fact a ruler who will lead others into a coupe in overthrowing the US government and take his place

He gains followers and key agents but soon becomes paranoid that other's are plotting against him for the seat of ruler

He becomes delusional and is apprehended by authorities putting an end to the setting up of the coupe

The RoN official gameplay trailer mentions that a paramilitary is attempting to gain control over the city

So while that is all obvious now the question remains what is the influence that caused this to begin with?

Do the other short stories of the king in yellow hold any relativity?

The King In Yellow is a play that is described as "spreading like a disease". Anyone in the book's universe who has interest in literature know or have atleast heard about it, even people that intentionally avoid every semblance of it inevitably come across it.

So instead of the king in yellow being le cosmic horror xD it's more of a cautionary tale about book writers that naturally want for their works to spread to everyone for them to read or at least know but they overlook the meaning of their own words while they become further misconstrued by the readers which inspires them wrongly

Ask yourself this: Why would anyone make a play write that causes people to have bad things happen to them?
Maybe the starter of the paramilitary misperceived something that influenced them to form such an organization (Thinking aliens are invading and need to prepare by taking over a city to recruit soldiers, delusions of grandeur resulting in challenging the government, or anything a delusional mind can misunderstand and read it as a sign to take up arms.) As a consequence it spreads that misperceived influence on others which furthers even more chaos for the Los Suenos police department to bring order to.

The level itself is a data center in The Row neighborhood which I mentioned, and is said to be operating an illicit porn ring. Now that I think about it, this map and Valley of the Dolls could be connected since Valley’s map description states the person profiting from the ring lives in the mansion.
