Should you have lower recoil? I mean perhaps, but at the same time you are probably not going to need to shoot more than 3-4 times really.

yeah you are not going to be pissing away ammunition but i believe in ready or not being more realistic than not as long as it doesnt make the game less entertaining

adjusting 5.56 recoil would improve the gunplay slightly

I heard someone in the lobby once complaining about how pistols have high recoil, and I am like... yeah its almost like when you have a firearm that doesnt have a stock, the gun jumps more, because less things to distribute the shock
