I know this is not what you mean and I more than appreciate your opinion, but lets not act like this is somewhat a spec issue. While it is true that some issues are def from hardware, the performance is massivley lacking. The Pre-UE5 FPS was fantastic and the game is very difficult to play enjoyably now

in UE4 we get a tiny bit poorer graphics for massive frames and mods

Hallo there Devs!
I have followed the situation in here for the last couple of days, and been waiting very patiently for the performance patch.
After having played a little bit now, one thing that really has helped is that FSR3 is now working correctly, and playing with the same graphic settings as before the patch, (a mix of medium to high settings) with FSR enabled, now gives about 100-110 FPS on "Quality" setting, while before the patch, it was just about 60-65 fps.

But one thing is that the game is now "kind of playable" with the help of FSR, but the base native resolution performance, is still not really that great, compered to before the DLC update.
As before that, I could personally play on almost epic settings on all options, with around 70-80 fps for native resolution, and 120-140 fps with FSR Quality mode on, so if you keep on working with optimizing base game performance, that would be really nice. 👍

(Little side note, the PSO caching seems to have fixed the annoying stuttering that was present after the 1.0 update, but in return the game takes quite a bit longer to load, but it seems like you know that already) 😄

There's lots of reasons why things are scuffed that I'm too smooth brain to articulate, but a lot of it comes down to, the team is doing the best with what they got.
Part is paying back tech debt, part is the upgrade done with the intention of making the path forward easier, and part is the eternally unpredictable nature of software

Unironically, I do genuinely believe there's a non-zero amount of software fuckery occurring.
On release day I troubleshooted with a user that had the same exact CPU and GPU as me, R5 3600x and a 3070, installed on the same type of drive, with the same amount of memory but he was getting a fraction of the frames I was getting [I was getting 70+ across the board, they were cranking 20 max.]
