Like on the outside of the campus you have just the two swat vans and thats it. No other police or crowds and that's the same on pretty much all maps. They feel pretty empty outside of the suspects and civilians

No it makes perfect sense. The officers don’t know who is who, they don’t know the students. Their adrenaline is running, and as far as they’re concerned, they have to clear the building as fast as possible.

They also don’t know if one of the attackers could be wearing the clothes of a student, as a disguise, or as a way to blend in and escape punishment, or ambush the unsuspecting officers.

Additionally, they want to make it harder for students to move around the building, so that way people can’t cross into the line of fire or be accidentally or mistakenly killed.

If this were a real situation, and there was some warning, they would’ve evacuated the campus, but it seems they were either too many attackers, or the attack was to sudden to effectively evacuate, that’s all measures of caution are necessary.

There isn't really a "best SMG in the game" or best weapon in the game overall, there's only some really bad picks and everything else, if you're facing armor you're better off using a P90 or MP7, but overall its best to stick to rifles if you want to stay meta

In Europe SMGs are still relevant because the threat is generally quite lower than in the US, but in RoNs setting especially with the threats being even bigger than what's considered normal in the US, I definitely wouldn't consider SMGs to be sufficient.

But usual on initial entry (which irl is usually made by standard Patrol POs), Officers, unless presented with an immediate threat, usually just tell people to run out for their own safety, whilst either clearing through the building, or making their way towards the sound or visual cue of the active threat

Canted sights are literally in cod as well as aiming without looking down the sights (I forgot how they call it in game), orders have been done thousands of times throughout many games, equipment is in like every shooter ever, yelling is just one keybind that I'm sure can be put somewhere without issue (instead of running for example, since Ron doesn't have it) and free look is something that you can honestly just go without.

Also Arma Reforger is a thing. Button combinations are very effective, although a little hard to learn. So putting lesser used controls on button combos would work out.

This is a question for you more than it is for us. We bought the game, enjoyed it and even joined its Discord server. So yes, pretty much everyone here will tell you that it's worth it. The game has bugs, but there's little to none that are game breaking. It's pretty hard to run and content updates aren't gonna be as frequent as AAA games. Is it worth it 50 bucks? Completely depends on how much extra cash you have and if you'll even enjoy this type of game.

• the rather small tactical shooter community on console outnumbered by the casual folk just looking to shoot stuff
• keeping up content for a community that's used to AAA update frequency
• fixing issues on at least 3 separate platforms instead of just 1

And probably many more problems that outweigh putting the game's controls on a controller
