its pretty cracked on door breaches due to its size and instant stun effect
its stun being stronger than the beanbag
rarely do suspects resist it too

Just a short rant here but I'm genuinely so tired of suspects having 360 degree vision and being specifically programmed to target your limbs instead of aiming center mass. Why the fuck do I have body armor if all that gets targeted are my fucking arms and legs ffs?

This is genuinely so infuriating. I love this game and have more then 200 hours but shit needs to change. A suspect gets a shot off standing right infront of me, and somehow with this single fucking shot he hits my leg, causing it to bleed, while wearing heavy armor.

99% of my playtime is solo. For genuine advice, if a door is opened and your swat ai is stacked up behind said door, tell them to switch sides. Or else they will throw the flash at the door and it'll just bounce off

No really, try it and see how many times you will die in 2-3 hits, armor saves you more than you thinking. Getting hit in the limbs is good since this is the only way to heal.

Also on PS5 leaning is broken because when you lean and fire for some reason with every shot your camera snaps back to the middle which makes it impossible to hit your shots
read the spreadsheet regarding metamancing the armor system/health system and you will see why them hitting your limbs is best outcome (because it procs bleed which lets you heal back to half everytime, and limb shots cap out at 24 damage on hard mode so regardless of caliber they will only do that little damage compared to bare torso shots doing the hard capped 80)

what you want is for every 2 shots on the steel armor to receive one shot to the limb to proc said bleed

I donāt really want to load into a mission and immediately have someone die. A random grace period gives us enough time to get your bearings (because at the end of the day itās a game) and also have each play through of that level feel unique.
At the end of the day whatās to say the suspect canāt find anyone to shoot. The static countdown timer is stupid and should be removed but having a min/max random grace timer would be better.

But really, obsessing over ammo choice is what people to do compensate for a lack of knowledge on guns. Most of your duty calibers (5.56, 9mm, .40 S&W, .45 ACP, 12ga) are going to dump their energy in a body. Provided you do your part and actually hit the target. The biggest cause of overpenetration is missing, so don't miss
Most 5.56 ammo will do this, with the exception of varmint rounds
Such as the Hornady VMax. Those little tiny 40gr bullets are meant for like, coyotes and foxes. Not people.
but most anything between 55gr and 75gr will behave like that
Me personally, my go-to ammo in 5.56 is the Federal T556TNB1, which is literally the SOST bullet loaded for carbine length barrels

This is a phenomena you see fairly often, since most people aren't used to being shot that. They tend to zoom in on the gun in someone's hands. Now due to the circumstances, you can be shot in any number of ways. But, if you're facing the target, odds are they'll shoot at your hands instinctively.
You'll see this is training exercises with UTM rounds all the time, people getting shot in the hands and wrists. There's also bodycam footage out there of police and security being shot like that, their vest stops the bullet, but now they're down to one hand. This is also one of the reasons why FBi requires a minimum 12" of penetration in ballistics gel, since the bullet so often has to travel through the hands and wrists before it ever even enters the chest
additionally in the game aspect they kinda shoot all over the player and dont specifically aim center mass
exception is the MLO, who specifically aim for headshots
Even then this training has been changed. It's not uncommon at all for bullets, especially handgun bullets, to richochet off skulls. So you're supposed to aim for the eye socket or the ear canal to ensure successful penetration and a CNS hit.
Even then, this isnt' a guarantee for a lot of calibers. I believe the minimum standard put forth by Dr Fackler is .308 in order for it to disrupt the CNS enough for a guaranteed lights out on the target.
But hitting an eyeball moving around in a gunfight is difficult, particularly if you're using handguns like most police do. Instead the training has been changed to aim for the throat instead nowadays

Me and my friends have been trying to S-Rank A New America lately and we consistently always are missing one piece of evidence. We check every nook and cranny of all floors, count every weapon from every suspect yet we just always miss one.

No good deed is a speedrun mission just like the college map or the restaurant
Active shooter maps just force you to speedrun since they will dome civilians in record time especially with loud guns
I always recommend dealing with the suspects all around outside the main building first as theres no civilians to worry about inside since they are all fucking dead
Hey does anyone get worse performance on their game after a death? I noticed on two different missions that after a failed run, my GPU usage would spike to 99%, and stay there, with increased temps and decreased FPS, when previously it was performing much better
For example, running ides of March, average 120 fps, gpu usage about 85-95% with consistent fps. After a death, spawn back into headquarters, GPU pinned to 99% usage, FPS Dipping into the 80s

I didn't use anything other than the gun, I played SOLO with no AI or friends, I didn't force doors, I didn't arrest anyone, I sent civilians to the exit, I kicked down locked doors, I didn't collect evidence or anything. Dumb question, in the New America mission, when you find the jammer laptop, do you need to rush to the courthouse to take down the main bomber? I always find it before I get to that main open area with the staircase that has a ton of enemies
And I'm trying to beat that 2-3 minute clock that TOC says
yes but i suggest saving it when you actually need to clear the courthouse, clear everything around it first and then use jammer and clear courthouse because you only have 2-3 mins of jamming the signal, that way you don't need to clear alot of area in that time
Ah ok, last couple times I found it, activated it then rushed past half the guys to the courthouse while ai cleared behind me, then accidentally killed the dude and it failed the mission anyway

when used by someone who knows how to use it especially with good teamwork, then yes super good, swat AI are kinda hit or miss with it however, you're kinda taking away some of their fire power to have better protection, so 50-50 i'd say
If it improves their survivability, its a win

he surrenders, pretty easily though, even by just shouting sometimes, just be careful he can get back up and use his revolver though

Also is there a point to disabling the IR laser traps? Sometimes I feel like shooting one guy to lure the others in is easier
Yea, kinda cos I noticed sometimes they can come in groups even from other floors towards your position, not just the ones nearby, it can be used to your advantage as well though so depends.
