Personally, didn’t struggle too much in my solo run. Ceramic full armour is always a good start, SA 58 is my weapon of choice and I’ll take a ballistic shield (laser sight on pistol to accurately aim)

If it gets too much of a struggle like the hell that is Greased Palms, I tend to lean around a doorway with the shield and force the enemy to waste their munitions - then they’ll surrender

This might sound really dumb and probably really annoying, but with the mechanic of stress levels on commander mode, there should be extra things the more stressed they get. For example they become more trigger happy and accuracy could be lowered by like 5% for each level. Once they reach crisis, in the middle of the mission they'll start muttering and mumblings incoherent words, or like yelling commands at NPCs that aren't even there.

funnily enough, the three devs who made irrational games were former devs from looking glass studios, very ones who made terra nova: strike force centuari, and the system shock series (1 and 2). in a way, terra nova was the first "ready or not" game of it's kind where you would command a squad in a small space and take them out tactically.

you're gonna have to dig in the ini files if you want to get a proper screen resolution. every time you launch, you're gonna have to set your resolution through console commands on both the base game, and in stetchkov syndicate (it's DLC prequel that is a seperate game entirely)

while i personally enjoy vanilla for swat4, there is a mod available that not only modernizes the game (optimization and whatnot, as well as including ADS since the original games only had a zoom option), but optimizes it too.

They usually wear this when busting people up. Whenever someone is considered a risk flight because they have a warrant for their arrest, or have been known to be violent. Regular cops do not get that close imo. Even when the suspect is on the road it is SWAT in unmarked vehicles that grabs them.
