outside portions go relatively smooth but big area is just way too inconsistent to clear

Take it slow with greased palms, there's a lot of unexpected angles by the baggages so look at those
in the FISA building, there's at least five different angles to peek at, make sure to clear those and don't walk towards the window in the FISA section
also have someone hold security whenever you approach a new sector, there's always suspects walking around so be on your guard

They will grab the civilian hostage though and only then if you shoot at them, they execute them (seen on megabyte and maybe gas station)
My AI teammates may have seen the suspect holding hostages and killed both of them lol
Played Ironman recently, tried the G36 for the first time and its incredibly smooth shooting
Tried it out on the range and it indeed felt very smooth with little recoil

I feel like any noticeable changes between the guns would be arbitrary to some degree. If guns are operating on the same platform and firing the same thing Iād expect them to perform almost identically

I can't decide what's worse, 7.62x51 NATO AP having a 2x headshot multiplier when literally every single other bullet, including much smaller and slower ones, has a 3x headshot multiplier, or the fact that the traits worked UNTIL you unlocked them.

We learned how to make traits work after you unlock them instead of before
On gas the revolver can't 1 shot incap, so if you shoot them and they fall down, and you didn't hit them in the head or cause an arterial bleed, then they're faking.

Before it was just, "Waaah, you blew a guys head off with a shotgun! I'm too sad to work!", replaces le epic style but now there's an incentive to keep someone from getting benched from seeing people be dismembered if their trait is valuable.

Shotguns with slugs are good because they are less liable to maim and kill and also they're very good against most armour.

I can't really see a reason to use 5.56 when .300blk is in the game, but 5.56 does offer some very low recoil options.

Oh okay, no it's alright, I just wasn't quite sure what you meant. Yeah, a lot of departments and counter-terrorism units do use pump action shotguns. I think part of the reason is less than lethal rounds, like beanbag rounds, might not be loaded hot enough to cycle the action of a semi auto shotgun. There's quite a few shotguns on the market that can be configured to run semi auto or be pumped manually, depending on what kinds of shells you're running through it, and whether or not it has enough chamber pressure to reliably cycle the semi auto configuration.

It's because you're playing the "Campaign" of the game, you cannot restart while in mission.
Unless you do Training mode.

It happens when you:
- Kill a suspect before you try to attempt compliance.
- Shot a civilian by accident or hit them/tased them/did any harm to them
- Hit a suspect or do any harm to them (melee, taser, shooting them) while cuffed/compliant
Was yelling at him to drop the gun... he pointed revolver at me so I shot him... got the negative bonus
Unsure at that point. It might be that you shot too soon (rounded a corner and saw him, then shot them instantly) and weren't directly yelling for compliance at him and they instead heard your yell and became alerted.
ROE seems weirdly inconsistent still

how do I finish a mission
clear all of the objectives (hold tab and you can see them)
When they're all done there will be a "Soft complete" prompt
Which means there are some guns and reports you missed. Doing all objectives, collecting all evidence and guns, and reporting everything (arrests, kills etc) will auto finish the mission
if you're on commander mode you can "extract" at spawn to end the mission early also

also if the whole team management and tedium of going back to the station if you fail gets too much
you can always use "practice" mode you can access in the menu
its name is misleading as its more of a classic mode, how the game played in early access and more similar to SWAT 4
In practice you can restart a level whenever through the pause menu, there's no team management to worry about you get a select squad and you still unlock and progress things as normal. Its how I play

However if some uneducated youth somehow buys this because their favorite YouTuber did, or just someone who doesn't play grittier shooters, they will find it difficult

Ah, yeah this game really punishes you for not doing the right things, since you replicate the same RoE as real SWAT officers, you will learn quite a lot of things on the way, forcing you to abandon your typical style with most FPSes

SWAT4 handles this very well about how it works IIRC
basically every suspect has different ways in handling stress and morale. Less disciplined, more likelihood for morale to crack

It doesn't fall off visually but if it gets hit depending on the type of headgear you have on it will stop providing protection after a number of shots

IIRC it's because of how Unreal Engine works.
Other games in UE like Dead by Daylight have this issue and have notoriously long update times at times even if the update itself is a few gb's or less
It goes through and verifies all the files after its done downloading and installing
verifying at least for me takes 5-7 minutes at most, but the patching after an update takes 30-35
I remember Path of Exile had the same issue, every patch took 30 mins to finish
it seems faster to reinstall the game every time theres an update

Well it doesnāt help that it just flat out doesnāt work around half the time but it helps to actually MM3 the order menu open and press Execute instead of just pressing the Z shortcut to execute, Iāve found.
for me, it ONLY works if both teams execute queued command

There's a few interior areas that aren't very easy to find. I think there's like a rec room with some chairs and coffee machines and a few cheeseburgers in it that can have a guy.
For me thereās always a dude hiding outside the building thatās an immediate right from spawn, the one with the windows and the door leading into the warehouse out back

They make an audible beeping noise when you're near them. What I do is rush the building and take out the active shooters until Bring Order to Chaos is complete and then I worry about bombs and then finally I actually secure civilians
The shooters will shoot civs and trying to detain civs will waste your time for defusing bombs

i used visceral blood for my whole run and it worked fine
i only found 2 fucking bombs. man this is actually cancer

Mods to not change your ability to get scores, or prevent them from being saved. Follow the instructions in #āmodding-faq-archive to fully uninstall mods, and avoid using mod.io in the future
You can still use mods in commander mode. Mods don't lock achievements, if thats what you're worried about.
Elephant should only have two bombs
it can definitely spawn more. the first 3 times ive done it something exploded after defusing 2. objective wasnt completed either

Unofficial score is just text on the screen. It means literally nothing and does literally nothing

Yeah the modded text doesn't actually do anything. Your scores still get saved and you still unlock achievements. I got most of the achievements in the game with mods enabled, including all the achievements based around getting ranks in levels (like "The Decaying City" or "Medal of Valor"). So there's no need to panic. You can still get those achievements

I thought of armed civilians before, but I envisioned them being more of a threat to the player than an actual ally. I imagined that, since they're on high alert from the life threatening scenario they're in, they could mistakenly fire upon the SWAT in a panic unless you make yourself known or stun them before they can do anything
Although simply seeing them with standing a gun would be good enough of a challenge to force players to ID the target before shooting

Is it just me or is practise mode way harder than commander? When I play practise the AI is deadly accurate and is very aggressive. Commander more felt almost like easy mode
One thing I like with practice mode, is that you can restart after dying

It's a non-lethal weapon that launches pepperballs to blind and stun suspects. Although it has a much faster firerate and uses magazines unlike the beanbag shotgun, it may take multiple shots until a suspect actually surrenders

yeah the gas nerf is so bad, barely worthwhile now
Didn't own the game before the 1.0 update, but heard a couple of bad things, like one was that you could kill suspects that pretended to lay down their guns and still get an S rank, but now you have to arrest literally every suspect
Itās a non lethal option. Shoots pepper balls to disorient suspects. Mb for being late lol. I wasnāt on my phone or pc.

I have discovered a new meta. If playing multiplayer with your buds, any level where you're not dealing with body armor, a single 357 snubnose JHP to the chest instantly incaps everyone 100% of the time.

in order to do this, you need to hit an off button. brain case, brain stem, spinal cord, heart, or an artery that is high enough pressure to bleed you out before you hit the ground.
nothing besides the head or brain stem is truly garunteed.
not only does caliber not matter in that case (within reason), but you are actually more likely to get that effect with a reasonably sized gun because you're not going to flinch, you have more capacity, and more ability to put volume into the target.

i run a holosun EPS on mine. it's quite nice. I run dots on all my pistols.

i heard some people say dots on pistols are more for training but others say otherwise and daily carry with a dot
irons are inferior in every way if you have any amount of training.
I think iron sights look cooler and unlike the irons on rifles, the pistol irons arenāt looking through a plastic straw of space
neither are modern red dots. The real problem with irons is that three plane focus is not natural for the human eye to do. dots aid GREATLY in both eyes open aiming, which increases your situational awareness, because you can be target focused.
when properly sighting through a dot, you don't see the housing at all, it blurs away and you basically just see a dot floating out in space.
it is very hard to explain without experiencing it.
with irons, you need to focus such that the rear sight is blurry, the front sight is in focus, and the target is blurry. this is not natural for the human eye to do quickly without a LOT of practice.

If you have SWAT members too close to the vest suspects, they can bug out and not be able to surrender. Keep them stunned with beanbag/pepper and get everyone to back away and they then will be able to surrender.

take care , coz sometimes at the entrance , (the exemple of security guys civies in neon) , the runners are not cuffed at the entrance and you need to cuff them for finish, if you are in the hopital mission and come back at the entrance , nice walk... and if you dont remember, you pass all the time in the map for find the last civ, but he s at the entrance. happends to me i prefer cuff them
and sometimes they are stuck on stairs or in spot when hitboxes are not perfect

yess normally civs, they auto cuff and you saw in the objectives feed (at bottom of the screen), but for me the security guys of neon tomb no auto cuff, and sometimes randoms civs get stuck in random spots or stairs , u listen them run but stuck (not all) , just take care and remember who is running away

What I was expecting when I started playing is that you need quick analysing skills and reaction speeds to gauge whether you should fire or not
On top of suspects always choosing to fight no matter the odds, suspects are usually very easy to recognise and I don't think you even get a score deduction for hitting a civilian with a non-lethal when they're not complying

The only hard with that map is that it is huge
it's huge and the main package place has a ton of random angles that you get shot from
gassing the whole building kinda seems like the meta for that one
Shooting the doorknob instead of the door blocks the breaching shotgun since its hitbox appears to be separate

Have they fixed AI only being able to use the launchers once?

This is how I did it:
Go in through the main entrance and clear the entire top floor
Also clear out that staircase area along the large window and wedge the door at the bottom of it
This leads to a bridge that goes over a large area downstairs
You wanna avoid this room as much as possible, especially when entering from this angle
When you did all this, you go back outside and enter from downstairs on the middle floor with the bar area. Clear out this entire floor before moving on the the bottom floor.
Try to clear out the bottom floor but don't go too far into the living room where you will be surrounded by windows, this is the room with that bridge above it
When you've done this, go back to the middle floor with Vol's office, from which you can exit the house and enter this gardening area
And from here you can take a staircase that leads down to the Vol gooncave
Clear out the cave and go back up using the other staircase that leads up to the pool area and try to clear up the rest of the enemies
It may not be the most effective method but it's what worked for me and my friend after many attempts
Man, I tried all of the possible methods multiple times and kept dying. I've given up for the Hawaiian shirt.
note to self: dont use the breaching shotgun as a weapon
