Also for those of you trying to get "way out west" bring no equipment for yourself and remove them from your ai, give them mirror guns, carry a shield but dont bring it out and you can use your ai they just cant throw equipment or us equipment at all, took me too long that i almost got sick of hearing big iron
Pretty much, that's only mission where Ai is literary working perfectly tbh, their movement and room clearing in tunnels is flawless
def not as bad as other places, but running through the tunnels dick out (metaphorically) with nothing but a magnum with big iron playing is such a vibe

Its a tough one, i tried it several times before i realized that my ai using shields was what was killing it
i typically have 1 of each team with shield and one of each team with ram
On my first initial run on 1.0 was running 1 with shield and others with weapons, for S runs, 2 beanbegs + 2 papperguns, pretty much got S on my first try on that mission, currently stuck on relapse xD

i have a decent plan but fighting in that warehouse section blows chunks (as its supposed to)
For S run, needed like i think it was 2 runs to finish it pretty much, clear store first, put wedge on both doors, clear small house with kitchen next + wedge that single door leading to main production area, go inside, clear rest of the rooms until you get to 2 doors leading to main area, wedge that, and go to the left ( outside towards courtyard ), clear from there, enter inside facility from last entrance outside, that's pretty much it.
this crackhead just ignored 5 pepperballs to his face
you save facility for last? thats crazy. imagine doing all that to just get clapped in the hardest section of the map

I can't agree with that, i know facility layout well, where their spots are and where they can go to hide, outside is big open area, hard to crowd control, especially with AI.

The postal service exterior would probably play a little better if the map had a few more thresholds defined.
General stuff what i hate about AI is the general lack of let's say map knowlage overall, i had situation on relapse today where i jammed duble door leading to main corridor, but entered into that same corridor from other door, regardless of it being wedged, they will still go to that door to clear, instant dead cuz they looked into dead end while suspect was on other side, even monitoring under the door doesn't help overall.
how do i get due process? i just hit 2 suspects and a civilian with a c2 charge ( front Voll) and for some reason i cant ge the achiev

Totally opposite for me, i'm always alive while AI is dying like crazy.
On most stupid stuff, like, today on relapse as well, i placed them to C2 and Gas the room, during the process of deploying C2, suspect legit opened the door and one shoted 2 of them, like, no time to react overall.
Was standing there, looking at them dead for like a minute.

In some ways I kinda temper my expectations for the AI SWAT because CQB is a pretty challenging puzzle to code a robust AI for.
Ive hit a suspect 3 times in a fuckign row, when i report him it says "report DOA" then hell sit up

I've definitely noticed a few tactical blunders they consistently make.
I also hate hwo when we spawn in the AI teammates will say "youre ion my way, need you to move, need you to slide over, ive def tk'd them for doing that a few times when they dont stfu
Most dumb stuff from AI teammates i saw is tbh peeking when door is open, like, i stack them up only, but first one in row will peek the open door and die instantly, like wtf, wait for me to give command.

That room with laptops is bugged overall. for some reason they can't open and clear overall. tried every possible option, C2, RAM, Kick... nothing works, they will just get stuck there and scream to you to move even if you are miles away from them. On my last play on port, i legit was left only 1 room to clear, that was the one, since they couldn't pass, i cleared it myself, imagine what, suspect behind civilian, both dead, completed mission like that, was too pissed to restart.

Pretty much easy map for S tbh, Ai is reacing as it supposed to react, weak opponents overall, i'm dealing with 500 round mag terminators on relapse rn, they can't run out of ammo, and constantly running and gunning.

Papperball gun is pretty much weaker option in comparison to beanbeg tbh, when i'm using it, they either don't want to surrender overall, unless you shoot them in the leg with pappergun, yeah, strange but works somehow, but, there is a problem with pappergun as well, S runs especially, let's say you have 2 suspects next to each other, you managed to force 1 to surrender, and started shooting second one, you will get unautorized force penalty for gassing suspect who already surrendered, not the case with beanbag tho.

You can shoot at like 200m away and you'll never cross the optic with the bullet

In general, when you start mission, and arrest first suspect, you will have 2 ways that leads to front of some cabin, there will be path to the left leading for split way, instead of going towards split, clear that cabin, and go to the nort east of the door, you will see long containter path there, go there, then go right, you will see path forward towards far right corner of the map, clear that office there, then continue clearing outside area until you get to the warehouse, wedge both doors, then go to the tower building, enter into warehouse from there ( after clearing tower ), clear warehouse last, and 1 very important tip: DON'T let your AI teammates explore warehouse by themself, be there with them all the time. You can run shield on one of AIs as well.

Singleplayer RoN is such a different experience I swear
I am usually playing RoN with my mates, so when I tried twisted nerve in single player I almost had a meltdown from having to babysit the squad
It's pretty boring if you ask me overall as an expirience, i want random maps overall, i mean, furniture layout and stuff, like door blocked by furniture etc. atm i know where every NPC will spawn so i can react more quickly overall, bomb on relapse for example, always on same place. Game is stale, Look SDIF for example, always diffirent map, fun expirience in general

my friend did it and told me some simple instructions :
no AI long tac, you only use 357
i think they also need 357
no AI tac at all, they dont need 357s at all, no equipment thrown or used wedges and c2 included, you bring magnum, and literally nothing but bullets
they can bring rifles, handguns, bullets and thats it
you can order them to clear sections without throwables and they can kill some/all and youll get the achiev
so long as they only use guns and nothing else, you can use NVG and armor but i didnt use gunfighter nvgs bc its on the loadout and i didnt want to risk it so i took off my cool gas mask for nvgs for the run

yea you can see it almost 100% of the time (i DO wear hawaain)

you see the watch when using long rifles (shotguns, long ARs, sometimes the shorter ones with the c-clamp wannabe grip)

there's a few very detailed guides on steam, but the short answer you can pick whatever and it'll work out just fine
guns are honestly mostly there for playing around purposes, you dont get massively more or less effective when you change from one gun to another

The answer can vary a little depending on the armor levels you're going against, but basically any AR in 5.56 or .300 is fine for like the whole game.
Damage per shot is only dependent on what ammo the gun uses, and there are way more guns than ammo types in RoN.

for that, pack a rifle, everything else is pretty weak against armor. otherwise, ive been running the mp7 and mp9 since ides of march and it's fine for all missions so far. in fact, you even get more of a chance of getting an arrest instead of a kill with those (they're weaker so you never get one hit kills, and wounded bad guys are usually more cooperative)
oh also your teammates usually kinda negate any gun quirks your weapon may have by prrrrt prrrt kablamming your target as soon a you get maybe one shot off
i only ever really have to fire a gun myself when a bad guy shows up from somewhere none of them are looking at, so it's my sector

ready or not is a tactical shooter, there arent that many stats you can manipulate to make each character feel special

there's a very rudimentary mechanic where your officers "level up" (meaning they unlock their pre-assigned special skill, and they dont change much in my experience), and between missions their morale goes up or down depending on how the mission went (if you kill all suspects it goes down even if it was all justified, if you arrest them it goes up, if you lose an officer it goes down, etc.)
well that last bit is really not very well balanced as of this moment, so when you start getting missions with 20 no-gooders armed with no-joke assault weapons hidden inside the very open and complex layouts of the maps, and that naturally usually involves a lot of justified killings (i mean they SHOOT at YOU, what else are you gonna do sing kumbaya and denounce violence), your whole team gets a morale hit. and you send the really wigged out ones to therapy, hire new cops, and juggle them so that you always have four on hand. if you cant pull that off, you launch one of the easy peasy first missions, non lethal it so no one dies and everyone gets a morale boost, and repeat this until you got a proper squad
in essence it's just practice mode with extra steps, which are there because you get punished for... following ROE? choosing lethal weapons in a game that offers non lethal as an option clearly meant for S rank runs, challenge playthroughs and the like? unclear
so at this stage of development, commander is added tedium in exchange for no satisfaction

the center mail sorting area is the most complex and difficult to clear, whatever you can do to sort of corrall that area off and work your way around the perimeter will help pull some suspects out of that area and into places where it is easier to engage them.
I work around the perimeter but then get killed either in the open warehouse or in the smaller warehouse section with the catwalk above

Avoid running with pistols, even if you think you'll win. The suspect AI still has many issues and running with rifles is your best option, incapacitate or kill the suspect as fast as possible. Use the flashbangs, stingers, and wedges.

They all feel very similar besides mag size and the only one that really feels unique is the magnum

A suspect cannot see an IR Laser when it is dark, giving you a stealth benefit. IR Lasers are also easier to be seen by Night Vision Goggles, which gives you a better advantage.

I believe the voiceline you're referring to is the one about the flashlight and regular laser, In my personal experience, I have never encountered a Suspect AI reacting to an IR Laser.
they don't, supposedly they 'see' flashlights, but in every test I've ever ran, they only make audio calls like "flashlight!" and then continue to ignore you 100%

Tired of doing non-lethal runs but I still want to beat Ironman mode without losing officers - what is the best way to do that without my officers going into a crisis and leaving due to all the violence?
Use some combination of sbags, moral officer, negotiator, and intimidator. That makes the suspects the most likely to surrender just by being yelled at and provide more benefit for your officers' mental state, or if they don't the sbags reduces the damage
You don't have to take every suspect alive, you just have to take a good amount, maps with objectives to take them all alive also help
Easily achieveable if you use your taser, pepper, or throw bangs
Also they key to taking suspects alive is to slow play the levels using wedges and breaching tools and grenades to get the advantage on them

I can imagine a few examples where a silencer would work for your stealth because the place itself is kinda loud. I imagine club neon would really benefit from the suspects not knowing SWAT is in the building with them
suppressors only exist for the gun can be shot without needing ear protection gear because if you shoot without one then your ear is gonna blow out

Fr bro i hate how our swat team doesn’t have the ability to sprint. Yes, putting your gun into the low ready position gives you a speed boost, but it’s very minor, almost unnoticeable. Fair point, we’re like 200 pound grown men, but aren’t we trained with agility, speed, and strength? All of that combined should give us the power to move quickly with all that gear on us
They made themselves very clear after pvp was removed that they would never be adding sprinting back because it turned into a run and gun

The AI is annoying when they sprint off, because you can’t do anything about it unless you have a pepper ball gun or beanbag shotgun (which has terrible aim mind you) and the taser can hardly reach

I think it works fine. Suspects running away is nice because they can setup in other rooms and potentially alert others. I think if players could just sprint after them, they'd just turn and be forced to shoot you again

Oh yeah, with the Gunfighter Mod, you can get fragmentation grenades and also flash bangs that blow up 9 times in a row and sometimes wound you. 2 variants of the 9 banger. And then there’s the concussion grenade, deals minor damage and is more effective than a flash bang
I'm sad that the grenade throwing behavior was never added to the guys on brisa/sins
So in all other missions

That would make it a nightmare because you can't do shit against a grenade in a room

In my head, it would be an alternate behavior for the suspects who attach themselves to doors and listen for you.
The current behavior is that they just barge through the door guns blazing if they hear you.
With the grenade behavior, the guys that are waiting at the door for noise would instead peek the door and drop a grenade through before engaging
The most effective way would be them using flash bangs or stingers
Flash bangs work for us most of the time but we have anti flash

If they had full on fragmentation grenades, there’s no getting out of that
Stingers would probably be a good choice. Also, on Los Suenos Postal Services and some other maps, they use CS Gas grenades, but none of them use gas masks.

Man i hated him. I always used CS gas instead of flash bangs when i first played that mission and i was like “WHY ARE NONE OF THEM BEING STUNNED” since all of them take minimal damage

MMM said something on the forums about them reducing stress gain, they still get stressed, but not as much as loud

i will try it cuz i like suppressors on guns
if suspects can hear you shooting, they will go from passive to alert in 15 shots from an unsuppressed weapon
1.5 stress needed to alert, at 0.1 per shot
if you have a suppressed weapon and they can hear you shooting, they will go from passive to alert in 30 shots
1.5 stress needed to alert, at 0.05 per shot
the required stress to alert varies by map
explosives, yelling, grenades, kicking doors all increase suspect stress
So suppressors are just one part of the equation
i feel like suspects surrender more when i go stealthy and are more prone to gunfighting when i go loud

Hostage mode is like Sins, at least I'm pretty sure Sins counts as a hostage mode. They would start shooting hostages when alerted

Something along the lines of “TOC to Entry Team, hostage negotiations have failed. You are cleared for entry. Beware, they will kill hostages if provoked.” Something like that
i think the only level i see suspects kill civilians is elephant college level
And also it helps you get a better understanding of where enemy spawns are and where tripwires are more likely. Also, Elephant practice mode has one bomb ALWAYS in the same spot

Yeah they kill EVERYONE on sight. Sometimes i have waves of civilians running towards me and my team. I think they just split up and run around in groups. Saw a bunch of people running into different rooms, up and down the stairs, or they died.
