They do, you can see the trait increase in the right corner
Its just annoying because you gotta try everything on to see if it gives anything
iirc zakum hats, root abyss hats, and pink bean stuff give charm, von leon stuff gives willpower, and arkarium pendants give willpower
I do admit it's not the biggest increase though 😅
