I'm returning to playing MapleStory after last playing in 2010, and now I'd like to understand how to start from scratch with this new mechanic. I noticed that the servers without trading have Kronos, Hyperion, and Challenger modes. Which server is recommended to start on?

Does it make more sense for me to go straight to Kronos or to create the characters in Challenger and then move on to Kronos? Also, I didn't quite understand how this works.

challenger worlds are ending soon but you can still squeeze out a bit from them before moving to Kronos. I recommend starting in Challenger-Heroic

just be aware that you need to get to at least level 130 to be able to leap to Kronos

But at what level should I start transferring to Kronos? I can only send 5 characters to Kronos, right? And what is the cost? Does it use NX, Mesos,…?

no cost

#

just stay in challenger as long as you can then transfer when it ends

when it ends it'll lock you to a map where the only thing you can do is transfer the character

story quests up to level 200 pretty much

no need to grind mobs under level 200 since they implemented story quests scaling up to level 200
