According to this, I had 5040 legion levels but when I returned, I lost ~400. I was gone for 3 years, did they delete some characters? I know my Jett was reset to base explorer.

They only deleted low level characters, that wouldn't have counted for Legion anyway.
Jett, however, counted, while Beginners don't, so that explains ~200 levels.
Similarly, Beast Tamer counted, but the converted Lynns don't, until you do their job advancements. (Only 2nd job and higher characters count for Legion).

Actually I misremembered... Thought only level 30 and below were deleted. Level 60 chars would have counted for Legion. So if you had any that might explain it.
