I'm looking for some help with figuring out where I'm messing up with Chaos Zakum Solo as Ren. I'm having an issue where once I hit his third phase, my damage output drops dramatically and I can't figure out if I'm missing some kind of mechanic with that phase that is reducing my damage. If needed, I can also provide my stats and equipment in the case I could use some improvement there.

You need to fill the rest of your slot
and get your secondary and emblem to atleast 2 liens of attack% at legendary
for face and eye acc you can easily get from zakum (it drops from lower difficulties)
as for badge your only choice is magnus
as for the pocket( the locked slot) you can get a pink beans cup or the one from hilla
to unlock the slot you need to get at least level 30 charm
I'm sure the hyperburn gave you a trait boost potion

Exchange the scroll from event shop for instant legendary ability and use it on your Ren. Then just normal roll for Boss Dmg line (15-20%) 2nd line is between abnormal dmg or flat atk, and 3rd is either flat atk or abnormal depending on 2nd, or buff duration. Then you never have to touch inner ability(IA) ever again.
Then for quality of life, since there’s 3 tabs in the IA slot, after rolling the boss dmg set in your 1st slot, you can exchange another scroll to instant make your 2nd slot legendary as well. This will be used to roll item drop rate 16-20% to ease the pain of acquiring the equips that you desperately need now for your slots. If planning to play Ren for long then you can do this 2nd legendary IA slot for item drop, if not just spend for 1 scroll for the 1st boss dmg set.

which I think is gonna be a huge issue because I did attempt C Pierre solo and had no luck there.
Granted that fight is very RNG dependent on Pierre's hat switching. For some reason I never had Pierre's hat go purple and the majority of the time, Pierre would have the same hat color as me so I couldn't do any damage

All I'm worrying about is CVellum since I can get carried by a friend for CPierre
and the rest of Chaos Root but C Vellum solo is the big thing for the Ren event

You should have a pet with autopot since your Ren's a HB so you'll be fine in CVel
Ren's link skill reduces % hp damage so as long as you have potions assigned you should be pretty much invincible against Vel since most attacks deal 100% damage
The only attack you'll really have to be worried about are the green attacks he does at half rise

so just run through an obstacle course and hit a punching bag weekly
only the sweatiest guilds will have cutoffs for culvert scores and such

so I moved onto Lotus and they are a lot easier to manage
but i did have trouble during phase 3 so I'm trying to get a bit of extra combat power to deal with phase 3's higher HP

but, I'm not sure if it was just phase 3's higher HP pool, or if there might be some increased def or something for that specific phase and I just need to pump my IED up a bit more
