I think Will is the first boss that cannot simply be brute-forced with damage, so you're going to either have to spam practice mode to learn the boss and/or watch long guides for how to beat him

This is the most tl;dw guide i could find, and it doesn't cover everything. It's also outdated in some aspects https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=78FtiMEYj-Y

most notable outdated thing is in phase 1, Melange now warns you when the FMA is about to happen ("Will is trying to unlock his power")

I also had thought will was very complex too. Things became simpler by condensing things and not understanding small details.

Some better extra simplification I would’ve said. For p1 and p3 just stand behind him at all times this way you don’t even have to observe what he does (treat him like p1 gollux). When you have the opportunity try to dodge spikes and ball but prioritize dodging the ball. Tests always start when his hp reaches certain thresholds as denoted by a vertical line on will’s red hp bar.

For P1 during tests de-summon and/or turn off skills that auto attack like dark flare (nightlord) or simply just don’t use them at all. This way you don’t have to continuously dodge falling orbs and risk failing a test by dying. And these kinds of skills don’t do much damage, at best they only save you seconds

For p2 test it’s actually easier to just stand on the far left corner then you just watch the floor for when it cracks. Spikes always begin around the same spot (about 3 characters long) so if floor is cracked I actually stand a bit to the right of the farthest left big crystal.

For p3 when not main bursting then immediately cleanse webs whenever the skill is ready
