With the NEXT Update in KoreaMS back in December, each Quest area/location was removed from the game. Quest areas/locations included Victoria Island, Orbis, El Nath, Aqua Road, Mu Lung Garden, Ludus Lake, Epic Dungeon, one for each class, and one for each area in Arcane River + Grandis. To compensate for this and prevent confusion among similarly-named quests, KMS appended each area's prefix to the beginning of each quest's name. For example, the old quest "Borrowing Sera's Mirror", which was under the "Maple Island" area/location, was renamed to "[Maple Island] Borrowing Sera's Mirror". Another example is the quest "Amnesiac Temple Keeper" under the "Temple of Time" area being renamed to "[Temple of Time] Amnesiac Temple Keeper". A third example is the quest "Should I Leave?" under the "Resistance" area being renamed to "[Resistance] Should I Leave?". However, quests that already had existing "[Area]" labels did not have this change applied to them; for example, each area in Arcane River has a respective area tag, such as "[Vanishing Journey]", "[Reverse City]" and certain quests were excluded.
On June 4, MapleSEA received this update and renamed all applicable quests as expected according to the standard that KoreaMS set in the NEXT Update, and this has also been applied to CMS, TMS, and JMS throughout the next month. However, with the Stargazer Update in GlobalMS, this change was not applied, with only a small fraction of quests receiving the change. This leads to several issues: the first is that certain quests may share a name, so they will inevitably cause confusion with no way to distinguish them without a label. The second issue is that since Quest areas/locations were removed as of this update, there is no way to tell which area certain quests belong to.
