#Cannot Play w/ New Update

Game lagging to a freeze & crashing when attacking/attacked by monsters or monsters respawning; more monsters, more lag - haven't been able to play since most recent update.

World: Challenger - Interactive
Device: Alienware M18 (Latest Model) w/ 4090

Tested on multiple maps, I can be in town just fine - but maps with mobs are constant 100% crash suddenly.

I've tried uninstalling & reinstalling multiple times to the same & different directories.

I've tried uninstalling & reinstalling my graphics driver & related like physX. I also tried switching from Game Driver to Studio Driver.

I've uninstalled DirectX & reinstalled it

I've tried using my Integrated GPU & my Discrete/Dedicated GPU

I've tried changing resolutions, framerates & various graphics settings inside maplestory & the NVIDIA control panel.

I've tried in windowed & Full screen

I've removed & readded Maplestory & Nexon launcher in my Windows defender settings.

I updated my windows.

I'm stumped & frustrated & just want to play... Please Help me

Had an issue like this with a mule of mine awhile ago. I fixed it by using a different damage skin. Apparently some damage skins are bugged and will crash the second you do a line of damage. Try changing damage skins? Otherwise Idk

I changed some BIOS settings, let's see if that helped

OMFG IT WORKS

I turned off Hyperthreading in my BIOS

&

Turned my Display to only utilize my Discrete GPU

&

Changed Power Delivery mode from balanced to: Optimal Performance

Probably only the Hyperthreading is needed, but I changed all of those

Yeah you need to disable hyperthreading. Unfortunately i have the same issue but i have a hybrid cpu so i cant fix it on top of im a NW main so bats are causing even MORE lag.
