Didn't know how else to title this. Anyway, when I delivered the final blow to aga 2, seems that I timed it in such a way that as I killed him, his sprite was black and as the Ganon bat tried to spawn, it crashed my emulator, came back, then crashed it again. But then returned to normal. It was the May 22 Daily Challenge, and I managed to capture a screenshot before the crashes if that helps.

We (probably) need more detail. I've never heard of an emulator that restores itself after a crash, so I suspect something else happened. What emulator are you using? What actually happened visually that you are interpreting as the emulator crashing?

I'm probably explaining it wrong. I was using snes9x 1.62.3. I guess as I released the spin, the aga sprites merged in such a way that the sprite itself became black instead of the normal one. And as the ganonbat was trying to emerge, I got the "not responding" message on the emulator, comes back after a few seconds, then happens again, then comes back for good. The only other instance I can remember this happening from my experiences is when trying to pass the aga barrier with no cape and no sword. I guess the game and/or the emulator doesn't like me messing around with aga. 😎

what OS?
I've started having snes9x (snes9x-rr-1.60-win32-multitroid2-r5) get into a not responding state when I've walked away for long periods e.g. to have lunch or something, but I've never had something in-game trigger it.
