Did the emulator itself become unresponsive?

#

As in, you had to forcibly exit it?

Yes, all three times. I didn’t think much of it until it happened two more times in nearly the exact same spot and nowhere else.

make sure you don't have any cheats enabled or anything weird with autotracking

#

because this definitely isn't a randomizer issue

@valid fossil Which emulator and version number?

I went back in and disabled cheats - still freezing in about the same place. Was using an auto tracker at the beginning but by the third time I had given up on it.

I’m using snes9x version 1.60

The former will retain whatever changes the cheats made, the latter wouldn't if you were to also reset the emulation after turning off the cheats.

When the emulator itself crashes, that indicates a problem with the emulator or the computer that is running the emulator. The actual SNES game itself is generally not the culprit, as the game's whole world is just what the emulator is emulating.

Maybe update the emulator to the latest version? And if the problem still persists, its probably a computer issue.

Just tried redownloading the seed and playing through up to pod and was able to grab the chest no issues.

snes9x hangs and becomes unresponsive on a STP instruction for some reason, which usually means the rom has crashed, but it just doesn't do anything sane
