So I got a seed where I had the moon pearl, flippers, and nothing left but Aga1. My next progression items were the hookshot and mirror in EP. The only way I could figure to get progression was to swim to the Zora portal south of what would be the "dark ice cave" and then climb up the jetty west of catfish, and hookshot over. Does that sound right?

And then once I was there, I had everything to full clear SW (which I couldn't figure out how to get into while playing) and TT. Is the play there to work your way through everything available and then go east to hype cave?
In this case, that worked out well for me. One glove was in hype cave, and the other was on the desert tablet, which I only checked on a lark ... "so much is available now with this glove, but I may not be back here for a while and I've had the book forever."

Honestly I don't think it's really used outside of entrance randomizer where the dark ice rod cave area might have interesting things or you might have weird dark world access and the traversal is a bit specific to the layout
