For whatever reason, often times when I go into this Discord it puts me in the French welcome channel. I never go there intentionally and I have to switch out of it repeatedly. I tried muting the whole welcome group and that didn't fix it. It would be great if it didn't do this. Thank you!

that channel is the topmost one since the welcome group has been shuffled up there.
do you change discord account often? that is the only thing i know of that resets you to the top channel of a server, though i imagine there are others

It does it to me on mobile frequently but I dunno what specifically resets it
It doesn't happen in other discords I'm in and I only have one account. Kinda just figured my config was borked somehow

Happens to me on mobile (Android). I don't have that on desktop unless I switched accounts recently.

i imagine it is just a mobile thing then. the welcome group was put on top so it would be the first thing people see in case they needed a different language

I dunno if this is relevant, but you can try turning off the Auto-navigate to Home advanced setting:

Ooh that looks promising, it was on for me and I turned it off.
If there's any way of changing the home channel for people with the setting on, maybe it should be something other than the French welcome channel.

Home's a feature that's now dead, I don't think we ever had it
whatever's dumping you in a channel is just picking the top channel on the channel list
we could change that, but I don't think we want General at the top

Huh, I never remember being dumped before recently. Haven't had it since disabling that feature either.
