Oh look there's a bomb in that room next to you ggs

can't argue against that

just to bring in the full context from the discussion over in #randomizer, the explanation for the current behavior is that the only logical way to progress in Ice Palace is via dropping through the bombable floor room into the double Stalfos Knight room, so everything in Ice is considered to "require a bomb"

#

except the compass chest

#

it's definitely not a very direct hint, and it is the only instance where a bomb wall indirectly locks checks - all the other "requires a bomb" hints are the more obvious situation, where there's just a bombable floor/wall and you open it and find chests/items quite directly after

#

only one that's even arguably similar is Ice Armos, because you have to fight a boss between bombing the floor and getting the items, but it's only one room away

ya maybe not technically a bug even though I said to put it here, but it's kinda confusing and deserves a bit of discussion

maybe Mini-Moldorm Cave too, depending on how you feel about the relative difficulty of Ice Armos vs four Mini-Moldorms, pretty sure I've died more to the Mini-Moldorms personally

those mini moldorms themselves can technically require bombs too though

yeah, think Ice Armos and Mini Moldorm Cave are very defensible since the enemies are just on the way to the locations in a small, completely closed-off path

#

Ice is a mess, particularly because Icebreaker exists now

i bet with v32 we can define a maximum distance from a chest and use that for requirement hints
