I got hit by a thief and wasn't able to access the next room

I was playing on enemy randomizer and was doing the hobo check when a thief hit me and I was unable to swim into the next screen. I'm not super experienced with randomizer runs but I'm pretty sure this is a glitch and I'm unable to make progress because I've done every other check available. That's sorta one of the things why Enemizer always kinda has a sort of asterisk next to it, it can place enemies in unfortunate ways that can block you from getting places. This being one of them

I’ve never seen this before. What causes it?

you get hit by a thief while swimming and you hit the transition like its a wall, it puts link in some sort of weird state

I feel like it's because I got hit by a thief which does high knockback and that's not something the game knows how to handle while swimming

Unfortunate too because checking the spoiler log the hammer is on the hobo check

For the sake of continuing the seed, you could try to OWG into the hobo check

It’s easy. Stand next to the diagonal slope right under the bridge and face up or down with your sword out

Then while holding your sword out, hit A and right dpad at the same time repeatedly

If you have trouble with two buttons at the same time, you can hold B with your left thumb and turn the controller sideways to hit right and A with your right hand

Repeatedly. Each time you do it it clips you into the wall a little

Is it like item dashing where you have to press the two buttons on the same frame?
