You can also stop at gas stations where possible (they're usually not blocked off) without having the whole convoy to stop.

The official convoy is just a meet up and we do a drive from one place to another, while following a set route.
Everyone can join these convoys and it just to meet up on the server that is set for it when they open.

Yes, there will be another one opening, and anyone can join it, you do not have to register on the website saying you are joining. All that is needed is a TruckersMP account and to not be banned at the moment that it is happening. But you can join any official convoy like that when the server is open and ready.

The only time people wish you to say attending is when it is a VTC's convoy that is happening.

You could pop in in a city near the route, then let traffic management know about the situation when you pull up to them

In this case, I assume you should contact the development team through the feedback so they can provide more information why it wasn't count. Not sure if there is any kind of delay, I haven't tried it yet.

We did go ahead and purchase ETS, but there is misinformation streamers are posting about the event. I will def go back and find the source we followed about the event. I am driving in winterland aleeady in singleplayer thanks to horizon mappper you can transport any cargo to there or from there! You don't have portals ofc but hey it's well for me! 🙂
