I think that there are now too many features in the game... blocks, weapons and so on. As an example the aquatic update: So much useless stuff that literally noone cares about. An there are a lot of useless features in the game. It destroys the ambiente of the game for me, its not simplistic enough anymore

Interesting. I found the aquatic update quite useful. Bubble elevators, new color palette, and the ability to breathe underwater finally added were all nice additions.

Mostly survival, I had some creative phases when I played creative just to build, but most of the time survival. Never haunting for achievements, only for building and having a good time. Also I never played on pvp servers since I pretty much hate pvp and well, there still was that community... yk. I was only playing survival with friends I knew in person. I had a really great time back then

I bounce between them, I tend to do more creative, so I get to play with the mechanics before survival players get to.
I am a tinkerer. I play with mechanics until they break, then find out how I can improve

yeah I did that too sometimes, but when it's getting too complicated it's out of my range. That's why I used to stick to building most of the time
but since the ~1.7 the redstone mechanics have improved, as I heard. It wasn't easy in the old versions

but do you know that very old videos in youtube, some from 2009 and newer, that had this very old texture pack and also some modpacks in which you were able to build nuclear power plants and whatnot, that was about when I started playing. For me it was the peak of nostalgia

But in the end, there will always be a group of people every update that say that it was too much. I remember the glazed terracotta group being one of the loudest.

I saw them but never used them, idk, maybe it has something to do with taste cuz I hate terracotta and decorative tiles irl, but maybe it just triggers people because its just a deco block

Probably. I never use terracotta in survival do to the difficulty of getting it, but it is a mainstay in my creative builds
