I really confused why Dell used this chip on desktop(Inspiron 3656). It was designed from the ground up for mobile and does best (from a chip design perspective) at low wattage this is some rip off right here.
Also is there's some way to increase performance besides upgrading since cant upgrade the cpu. Yesterday I broke off an USB 3.0 pin on the motherboard, now it keeps getting the error "USB over current device detected" even with unplugged USB 3.0 cables.

I have a G29, works well, friend had a G920, and had one weird issue with it but I suspect it wasn't a manufacturing defect... Like gas and brakes (simple auto), now that I think of it, it might've been the profiler too with the combined pedals setting, but my friend doesn't play the game anymore sadly

alright guys, i need a bit of help. im torn between these two monitors, idk whether to get a tn panel or ips panel. i currently use an ips panel and it looks great, colours are beautiful. and on a tn panel, even though its better for gaming and has 1ms response time, idk if i'd need that cause the main games ill be playing are ets2, ats, cities skylines and possible rdr2. ips is more expensive but still has great response time (like 165hz), 1440p resolution and 4ms (which u cant really tell the difference between 1ms and 4ms). my budget allows for either, so if i you could look through both and if i could have a bit of information and opinions from you guys, it'd be appreciated sorry for such a long post lol

There is so little difference in terms of color, and if you dont like it you can still change it. Also the stand looks better. I mean, you can always adjust the color but not the response time. I dont think 3ms difference matters that much, but anyways. I'd save the 100 quids. And if you dont like it just send it back or say its broken. thats a bit of a bad move but who cares anyways

IPS > TN, especially if you're playing non-competitive games (and all the ones you've listed are non-competitive, unless you like to go racing in ETS2 kappa)
Yes, you can get issues with BLB (backlight bleed) and ghosting on IPS, however, if you get a good panel, you won't really notice those issues. On my 34" curved monitor, I have very little BLB on the corners, which are not noticeable at all in day to day use

that seems to be fine, but I suspect that one of the case fans is either facing the wrong direction or that the case fans run at a somewhat low rpm.
You can check the BIOS settings for the fan curve / fan speed

Ok so I have a bit of a problem, we purchased a Laptop from Currys (UK Tech Store) and pretty much wanted to return it within a week as it was just soo slow out of the box and still slow a week later, gave it some time incase windows update was doing something. Anyway, some time has past and finally I persuade my dad to return the laptop, but we are out of the 30 day no fuss returns period. The laptop might be faulty, that could explain why it was slow out of the box. Idle the HDD sits at 100% consistently, I'm sure that Curry's will tell us it has a virus or something, which I'm sure it does not.

What is the best way to go about this, to get a full refund? I could go down the route of it not being fit for purpose to run a business from. It can barely even email, word takes minutes to load and this is after a Windows reset. I could go down the route of their sales guy lying about it's capabilities, is that wise?

We have all the original packaging, the laptop is in the process of being reset again. So far it's taken 3 hours and it has only just got to the point of installing windows again

The issue here is that the laptop is working fine just not for how you wanted it to (From what you describe), otherwise if it were a totally faulty laptop then you might have a chance to get a refund if they didn’t repair/replace it

It's slower than the display model we tested, like really slow. Something is different between this and the display model. The display model starts in like 3 minutes, this takes forever and sticks on a black screen for a long time. It does eventually boot, this was from brand new.

Everything is locked down and downrated. The CPU does turbo but the base clock and turbo ratios are set slower than amd state

They have locked it down, like completely. If I hit esc on boot it'll bring up a menu. Like recovery, etc. If I hit F10 then the bios opens but instantly then goes to a password screen

They are hp boards, hp part names. Only way I'd find out is to take it apart and examine the bios chip which I'm not willing to do.

After a complaint about my power usage I'm gonna roll back my overclock and finally give in to the bios update. From F2C (Hacked bios for Overclocking non k processors). My CPU would draw almost 140w under full load, when it's only a 65w tdp processor. This bios basically thought my i5 6500 was a 6600k
