all i will say is good luck... there is very little literature on how to do this and more recently, scs changed their file structures slightly and coding within so its been very much gatekept as its a 'figure it out' type deal as most tutorials are out of date on old versions of ets.

reshade is free. snowymoon (the best as it uses in-game rendering mechanics) has basic options for free, but the paid is well worth the changes.
if youre good with .cfg there are basic changes you can make to the game itself

Nothing for hunger I don’t think. Road surface simulation, go into gameplay setting and max uneven road surfaces, bumps and collisions. Go into controller settings and turn FFB gain up to 200% with your steering wheel sensitivity on 50%… enjoy the broken thumbs when someone hits you 😝

If you have developer options and console enabled I can send some lines to put into your console to up the in game rendering a bit, make flares pop and light travel further
Got one for mirrors too, can see 1000m in my mirrors 😝

All depends on the Nm torque. If you get a 5-7NM full gain would be fine. Moza R9 for instance would literally risk breaking thumbs, knowing what the steering wheels do when you hit curbs and shit

That is known as a dolly my friend. It’s the 2nd carriage to a HCT. You’ll find them on HCT trailers and/or doubles generally. You need to save edit them to be able to make them work for custom trailers.

Save editing is not going to get you banned.
Using improper save edits will.
Just check to make sure the fifth wheels are in the correct place, axles are fixed, no floating parts, all lights, etc.
And don't go overboard on hookups and you'll be fine

yhh it was just finding videos or literature on the basics but even that, everything was running on blender 2.6 or smth and ets was like 6 years out of date 🤣 i stopped playing ets and modding when 1.58 first came out and they changed the colour code in the .sii's

I only ask as I had a talmu mod from Insanux from about a year ago (was only removed a couple weeks back) due to it corrupting games due to a updated flare rendering the mod 'broken' so to say

you either need to fix/delete the flare or uninstall the mod, this is if this was downloaded more than a week or so ago from their discord

yes, it will work... but behind the game it will be loading errors with the flare and after so many attempts it will crash your game. I lost a 1100 hr save game due to this mod.

If you go on Insanux to try and find it now, you will see it has been deleted as I reported it to Cal, the owner and he has since removed it. By all means use it, just know it may cause save data corruption and you will lose your profile.

Decided it was time to make some new trailers for the old truck (doesn’t look old but I’ve had it for almost 10 years now). These are still heavily work in progress and won’t be to everyone’s liking but they are private. Based on Australian off highway roadtrain tankers, with some changes to fit with the ETS2 tankers visually. A number of parts simply used from ETS2 base trailers, these are only a quick few hour build.

On TMP there aren't mods. There's Promods which is map expansion and you can have local mods which are mods local to you (only you can see them)

There are a variety of places to get mods but the safest and easiest is to use the steam workshop and you can use these on ETS2 singleplayer and convoy. (Some like trailers and trucks can be bought and brought to TMP)

you just gotta try cause its for 1.57 but prob, and as long as nothing is floating or clipping, and your able to control it and not block traffic youll be fine, i usually stay away from large groups when pulling a triple

well you know how pretty much all trucks on the highway drive 90kmh even though the truck speed limit is 80kmh? i would like to change that so they drive between 80-85kmh (or faster when 90kmh is allowed) so it seems a bit more realistic. always when im on the highway theres never traffic ahead of me because they all drive faster than 80kmh.

as keroconda mentioned, there are mods that add realism to the speed variations but they all increase the speed whihc i do not want.

Uninstalling some add on items removed ves the part it was installed to/with. Local mods attach to a save edit part in the easiest form and you deleting the local mod can remove the the part it was assigned to in the game

Install that onto the truck via save_edits and it should fix the grill

You can check for game.log.txt or game.crash.txt in your Documents\Euro Truck Simulator 2 folder

Well it literally tells you in either of those files (most likely the game.crash.txt) what caused the game to crash. No harm in opening them in Notepad or a text editor and scrolling right to the bottom.

You have an outdated truck mod I believe, the game is trying to find files that no longer exist in the places it's trying to look

tmp is unable to be installed as a standalone .exe

on linux*

youd need to config it to be tmpfs (RAM-backed filesystem)

but youd need system level knowledge on how to do it yourself as its not widely available on anything life github from what i've seen mate.

If someone knows any different I'd be very interested and welcome being proved wrong XD

log into it via the linux like you would a normal vm

long as you have good download/upload you'll be sweet

personally, I'd create a second steam acc and have that solely for the dsu

alr 2 secs, ill find smth basic just to show how to spin them up mate

so oracle is rated to be the best cross-platform VM mate

but have a look into the dsu, you would be able to spool up a perm vm basically that'll be your access point

also proxmox, thats what i use as its all open-source mate. this'll allow you to utilise container systems which would be better for gaming generally
