If it has multiple files, then it must mean that the bank file is expecting a specific engine rather than the truck itself.

This can technically be done by using local mods, however other players will not see it in game and you should therefore still make a colour scheme on one of the SCS liveries that work on most trucks that the local mod can go over. Good example would be At The Mile who have mods for custom liveries that work in single player but not TMP and therefore have a colour scheme on an SCS livery for TMP

Promods is free but require all ets2/ats map dlcs. Note that this mod is currently incompatible with tmp as it hasn't updated yet for v1.58 . Project ALM is free and grimes mod too, but the latter is no longer supported. There are different versions (by season) and tmp supports one by one for a limited period.

Physically adding a tank that is visible to players in TMP you need to make sure it's not clipping with anything and that it fits within the confines of your chassis

It's easier to do a save edit with numbers than it is to physically add tanks

no they do not, if I save edit my game.sii I can literally still use the said truck in TMP as long as it's within the guidelines of not crashing or causing harm

there are in fact local mods that do work in TMP but there's no promise they will because I've tried to use them

and never worked for me

but you can't download a steam workshop local mod and it work

as far as save editing, it seems patched, my truck will get heavy and wheels will dig into the ground, even having 2 engines and transmissions, your truck will be front heavy and some areas of the map, you will pretty much have your wheels go into the ground and act like a pothole which will damage the truck. maybe if you add more physical tanks for the fuel but not entirely sure since idk how to add physical accessories
