So no there is no excuse for them to take a trucks parking space just cuz the rest is full, then they can instead park on any available parking spot along the road as they already have their bed, bathroom, kitchen and everything with them and as I said not regulated by driving hours.

The problem is, this is a Class B vehicle that uses a truck space.
We are already running out of space for trucks in France (and in Europe). We are limited on driving and working times. If we go over that, we can get a heavy fine.
