in the US there are very few truckers who drive non American vehicles like theres a few scanias but most companys go with american trucks as theres less of an import tax and such thats why buying imported cars is sometimes more expensive because of the taxes placed on those vehicles and we always like supporting fellow american companys due to job growth and the such

I dont think american trucks are safer, infact i would wager theyre more dangerous. You sit lower, a lot lower, and when you hit something youre at the right level to be right in the middle of two heavy things

Reliability is an important factor, and especially driver comfort and satisfaction. The more satisfied a driver is about their vehicle, the less of a chance he'll hop to another firm and he'd take care of his truck better

Like these trucks we have are good. They also fit the category of getting the job done but they are also frustrating. Underpowered, lack of proper sound deadening, speakers are crap, radio is half-baked, constant minor faults, fuel tank is too small, steering wheel is heavy, gearbox cannot handle low speed maneuvaring, the list goes on

If it was an actros, I'd be more satisfied due to the larger engine and general comfort is way better
