@vagrant cosmos u mean right across the pond
There are lots of immigrants that drive trucks
@radiant solstice have u driven from Florida to Illinois?
No
In my late 30s or early 40s I wanna drive a truck
Assuming the industry doesn’t change too much
Ats and ets Physics aren’t very realistic from what I’ve heard
I would like to drive a truck maybe at 18 or 19
I mean I really wanna pursue law enforcement but once I get too old for that I’d like to get into a truck
"Ats and ets physics arent realistic" imo, i learnt to drive using only ets 2 and a wheel
Xd
Boss called me.. "sorry for not calling earlier, i need you to drive right now and reach the ferry" i need 20 mins to get from home to work, and 1 hour 5 min to get to the ferry.. i'll reach the ferry 1 min before they leave.. :|
ats and ets physics, in terms of reversing. are fairly decent
Good luck @vagrant cosmos update if you're on the ferry :3
If you can reverse these kinda trailers, you can reverse about anything

I reached it, 2 minutes before :D
How do u all reverse in euro truck
Preety easy
If you learn the pivit point it's quite easy to learn how the trailer will behave under turning in reverse
I tried to use that but i still cant manage to put it in nicely
I just do the second option
Your pivit point is your rear tires, thats where/how you steer the trailer
😔
Yeah ik
But i go to far when turning and my truck and trailer ate touching each other
Then you need to make a bigger turn
Yeah man I know
Also, when you feel you start to get the right angle, hold it, and then straighten it
I see
Also, there is no shame in going a bit forward, i do it irl ;)
No one is born champions, we all have to learn
i mean, tbf i dont even know how i learned to reverse
i dont remember a time i didnt know
UK ttruck sim mustve tought me well 😄
Well.. I started when i was 14... My father let me try to reverse and drive some
Prob that's why i was a bit better than other people at my age in my company
Also, reversing in ets 2 first persob is harder then irl, because there is not really any depth
yeah i feel you
Yup lol
Get out and check on the truck
😄
Yes
Lol

These trailers need the parking assistance
construction sim
But yeah, if you want to go left, start with a little right, find your angle of attack, hold it there, and before you reach the end, start slowly straighten it out
I'll try
No one can teach you how to do it, we can show you it, but only you can learn yourself how to do it
put very simply - if u want the trailer to go left turn your steering wheel right reverse a little bit then follow it with your steering wheel
im going from south of Spain to UK leave tommorow morning in a Mercedes Actros

Where are you now Noxii?
Hammarøya 🤟
Aha
Omw to Bodø to load up equipment at the theater there
Haha no thanks
good
i kinda got it in the right spot but my truck wasnt in the spot so i detached it and attached it straight
Now i go sleep
y
Also, to get it straight, go a little forward, and rhen back again
@patent bolt holy shit that looks beautifull
TY ty
i honestly love night driving but i never get the chance irl :/
one cuz less cars more trucks so u see alot of cool ones
- they light up xd
I hope to start my new job tomorrow. Sitting here on my bum the last week has driven me crazy.
Where'd you end up going?
Swift
Swoooot
22 Degrees here in Spain
@patent bolt I like the 💩 pillow in the window 😂😂
😔 😔 😔
why sad

TY TY
@vagrant cosmos I'm hearing that there's chaos around Kåringen/Fiskfjorden atm
it's efing slippery out here today
🤔
today was a chain kinda day
Guess what freight I have
Aye hearing that
at 55 km/h i had a breaking distance of about 3x the normal distance in 70 😐
oof
Oooof and I'm supposed to stress around in the area tonight to catch the ferry downwards tonight too with not a lot of minutes to spare
let me tell you, if it is about as bad as it was this morning, then you wont make the ferry 😐
max speed today was 60
Yeah called my office and told him to have a backup plan ready
I went to bed at 8am today and from the looks of it it's been snowing since. I mean back garden was green when I got home now it's all white
u have snow?
going back to Harstad soon, really really don't want too
yes, snow, ice, hail, rain, sun, wind, everything today
and in the morning from 6 - 8, we had it all at once
What you doin in Harstad? So far away from home
Oh where you laying it now?
the road?
outside a new Coop store opening soon
Oh in Harstad?
no, here in myre 😛
Oh dang that's quite a distance to drive just for some asphalt, don't you have any closer? xD

Urgh I love the fact that I can start the heater in my truck from my phone so that my truck is warm and cozy when I get to it especially now as its snow
does it start the engine to do that too?
or do u have like one of those ac/heater units that sits on the roof
Most of the trucks have a seperate heater that's mounted on the side
i did not now that
Since we sleep in them it's necessary to have so that we don't have to idle all the time but still keep them warm and cozy
mine is on about 24/7
Ha Volvooooo
yeah :/

They have already stopped asphalting here
Good thing tbh
New asphalt gets slippery fast
I was in the asphalt circle last week, fun while it lasted
I hate going empty on icy roads, almost no traction..
best thing about living in Spain!, atleast where I live, only 5-10 days a year it goes under 10° never snows and over 300 days of sunshine a year barely Rains
sounds like hell
Why does it sound like hell?
nope that’s in the north I live in Marbella in the very south
Effy slippery :|
it’s a UK plated truck, and our business is UK registered but we live in Spain
For the taxes ?
Nope my family is from the UK but have lived in spain 40+ years
wouldnt it make more sence to order a lhd truck then but keep it uk plated?
ye idk I don’t own the company, my dad does so not really my decision
I wish it would snow here
U teleport out the truck and take a pic?
Ofc
Perfect
Lovely Scania R
TY 🙏
Near Madrid
I thought it was gator roads.
Barcelona ETA - 8:52 AM
5 mins away
Your wheel is on the wrong side
Correct
Are we crazy for still driving asphalt?
At least your not doing asphalt everyday, my freight is horses every single day and we only have 2 trucks a really old 2002 Mercedes and a really nice 2018 MAN but the MAN is being used by my dad so I’m in the old Merc
🐴
@patent bolt I hope you don’t mind, I stole one of the pictures you uploaded for my discord PP cuz it’s cool AF and that northern lights one
Tremendous lawsuit coming in woop woop

I am so tired of the northern light, i will be sick :|
@tawny moth do u not have a sleepercab?
I see it about every night nowadays
Lol
He sleeps with the horses
Ah yes
It's okey Imy
@formal minnow yes i do
@patent bolt ty ❤
@formal minnow this old Mercedes has a “living area” the bit u see with a big window that has a sofa bed, kitchen, shower but the cab is wierd cuz it has sleeper cab but not a bunk only 1 bed where as our other
truck is normal and only has a sleeper cab bunk beds no living
Ah
I geuss thats a way to get around the law of not sleeping in the cab while moving for resting time?
Nope same rules still apply
This a truck or a RV?
😔 😔 😔
Yeah we have a couple of them up here too but bigger
Hello real life truckers
I thought you guys would appreciate this
AND i relate lmao
cough
Wayt
You know what I'm gonna say, right
@sterile spoke
Shh its for the real life truckers not the discord life moderators smh

Wrong, watch your language 😉
This mornings view
Nice
Dang @vagrant cosmos as if Haukebøe wasn't already bad enough to keeping to their own side of the road in the summer now as the roads is white they're a bloody nightmare to meet.
Just met one that cut around a corner he came flying out of it as I was entering it only problem was that he was more on my side than his own side of the road, almost to the level that you poop your pants and then start swearing and shouting a lot at him in your own truck 😬
I almost lost my mirror to haukebøe today to in sortland :/
Aye told ya they're soooo bad at sticking to their own side of the road
Can't count the amount of close calls I've had with both cars and trucks now tho since it started snowing
Weather here has been bad
And now it's rain in the air too gonna be wobb wobb slippery
Snow, icy roads and +5°C
I am so done with my company, i most likely will quit after the winter contract 19/20 ends.. :|
Oh how come?
Meh, lets keep this a happy place instead
Aha okey 🤣
Sshopday
ez pz
Barcelona - Pickup In Lyon - Calais
im getting good at reversing

Crossing some big river in France
where's that?
Somewhere in france
A Bridge just past Lyon somewhere there
Nope :/ off to calais now
make sure u dont get no immigrants in
i assume since u have like living animals u have priority past queues?
what a stupidly inappropriate comment to make...
^^^^^^^^^^
yeah just watch videos of them blocking traffic and trying to get into trailers and you'll get it
It's not that bad anymore but it still is a thing
Not talking about subjects doesnt make them less real
even the cops just sit and watch, they want nothing to do with that anymore
yeah i went to calais during the rough times (on holydays)
The dumb thing is, when you get caught with immigrants in your trailer YOU have to pay a fine

even if there is obvious signs of break in, and the driver did his best to protect his trailer
I don't know about that one.
and that's why you don't use covered trailers, bcs a knife is enough to break in
nice
And now, first night of snow clearing season begins
@thick cedar yep around a year ago I had 2 of them in the trailer with 4 horses, but we stopped just outside calais in a stable yard to rest the horses for the 9hours and when we opened the trailer they got out in a T-shirt, shorts and flip flops and it was deep snow, but they ran off into the bushes quickly
lol
ooooh @vagrant cosmos cant wait for the pics of that that stuff is way cooler then asphalt
Yeah... About 3 yrs ago my father was driving there preety much everyday. He always had a baseball bat in his range 😉
xd
They were really aggressive. Road blocks etc...
and me and my dad were about 100 miles out of calais at one of those self pay empty petrol stations at 3am and about 10-15 got in the back of the lorry with the horses and my dad went and basically told them to get out and they were all like 15-18 year olds and they were all like “sorry boss” and really nice
hm
from what i see from videos etc
its the older people
that are causing the aggrasiveness
etc
No always young people
hm
No 90% of them are young
My dad had prob 10 fights with young immigrants who were in his trailer
xd
Not really funny
He just wanted them to get out
since where they came from that was a daily occurance
But they all came on him
so the occasional fight with an out of shape obese truckdriver etc is nothing for em
yeah thats the downside of em
they only fight in groups
My mum was in our little 3 horse truck it’s tiny basically a Van and they rolled a huge hay bale on fire infront of the truck and were throwing rocks and shit at her and the police came and chucked some tear gas stuff and had to escort her into the port
I had only 1 encounter with immigrants
They tried to get IN my truck
Like not in my trailer
Just had to really speed up
Have you seen that one video on YouTube where a guy is at a petrol station with one of those flat bed machinery lorrys with a digger on the back and 3 get on and he tells them “not going to calais” and they ignore him and he takes them 200 miles away to Holland
@tawny moth Yeah so good
Our business has 3 trucks ( well actually 2 and a little van thing) and all driven by family, my Granada 74 still drives 9 hour / 10 hours a day (legal driving hours) 25/31 days a month
yep he has

at a truck stop rn watering the horses
In case you missed the video. Here's the lorry driver who took immigrants on a 200 mile detour in Europe and he didn't stop to let them off. 🤣🤣🤣 #Suckers #Ec...
yep that’s it
easy solution, pull the red line and ruuuuun
best video ever
gets on thinking they are going to the uk
find themself in the middle of nower far from the uk
driving at 90
trailer brakes engage

The little truck my mum was driving when immigrants threw stones and set shit on fire infront of her
It's snowing
@vagrant cosmos have fun
By the time i am done, i will have worked 21 hours today 😂
Niet problem, normal katastrof
xD
Koleka work 25 hours a day

I wonder why lorry drivers even bother to slow down for them
Here in America if you step in front of a moving truck that's just natural selection
We got tired of protestors and illegals a long time ago

getting on a ferry isn't much fun from a car pov, for a truck i could dimagine it being a bit worse with all the paperwork and security checkup
yay for being late
when i did roscoff-cork we left 15 mins late bcs the ferry arrived 15mins late
Yeah I did hollyhead to Dublin many times
trucks board first right?
Usually yes depends
well it would seem more logical to get the heavy stuff first
Finally boarding
how long is the ferry trip?
oh yeah, not that long, at least compared to the 14 hours i've spent on my trip
38h ferry in Cyprus that’s a boring one and the Bilbao - Plymouth that’s like 28h
yikes
yeah my first ferry was a boring one too, but the second one was a cruise ferry
so much better
the 28h Bilbao crossing has a pool and shit so basically like a cruise ferry
yep, exactly like what i had, mine was the "pont aven"
you know, the one that had a fire aboard back in may, just the day before i left to ireland
Really no I didn’t
it was doing plymouth to spain and had to stop in brest bcs of a fire, the steering was affected too
yeah but it was fine when i took it in the first days of august
hey maybe the 28h ferry you took was the pont aven since only Brittany ferries does it i think
I think it was Stenna line but maybe idk
This mornings view
Welcome to the uk
Crossing back on the ferry in 1h
Back to Calais now
Back to France
nice
@patent bolt will you be going to watch the tunnel? ''Tunnelen''?
I get to see enough tunnels driving over Hammarøya so not sure 🤣
xD
But ay I actually got a phone call once if I could help them drive a truck in it
Great i'm on vacation rn but they called if i could work tomorrow 🙄
if it snows, i can't xD
Haha yeah I'm planning on just getting home which I honestly don't even know how yet
Know the feel Beni, last year i worked 4 out of 5 weeks vacation
Have next week off for the release of RDR2 😎🤟
Well i accepted because i'm not gonna work the next year

Good and bad, soooooo many trucks stuck on Hammarøya yesterday 🤣
But today they've been mostly good, a bit wobbwobb over Ulvsvågskaret
ahh, i am about to go out and plow the edges and put some sand soon
Haha better do or I'll call 175 and tell them that you're doing a bad job 😝
Apparently someones stuck on Ulvsvågskaret now 🤣
hey, i still have 2 hours before i Have to go
also, not really slippery here yet, but it will be soon
Aye was really slippery between Lødingen and Tjeldsundsbrua yesterday evening
Blackice everywhere
that is because the contractor there don't give a flying .... about the road, they are on the edge of being bankrupt
Aye Rasmussen Anlegg and Erlandsen

why are you Capri sun the 2nd why not the first

Nice i'm with another driver. Don't need to drive that much :)
I’m with another driver too
Dhl lol
@thick cedar send picture of ur Truck
Oh sorry that i didn't saw that earlier
I slept till now
That's what i drove today
Ahh nice Volvo
What do you transport?
I recall
30
1002
and
33
1203
adr signs are for diesel and gasoline, right?
no wait
30-1202: diesel fuel, diesel oil, gasoil - unspecified
33-1203: gasoline, petrol, motor spirit, motor fuel
i got it
Yup
Yes
alright
Furthermore
What signs do I need to go with these 2?
Flammable 2 or Combustable 3?
I forgot.
also I need the white one with the fish right
1002 is compressed air if i remember right
white one with the fish thing? you mean environmental damage warning?
Hmmm
Yes
So
To have a fuel cistern transporting both diesel and gasoline, I also need the following signs:
Flammable gases
Flammable liquids
Toxic gases
Am I missing something?
and the environmental damage
maybe not toxic gases
even tho they toxic asf
wait? are you even allowed to do both diesel and petrol?
Yes if you have the right cistern that has separate pipe systems for each cell
and if you are ADR qualified for them
you must remember different countries has different rules
in norway i think you only need the orange square to haul 1202 1203
Well, I work in a petrol base in Bulgaria, and literally work with fuel cisterns/trucks on a daily. Kill me my adr signs are rusty though. Either way, people here (some of them) drive both diesel and gasoline. Each cistern has different cells. As long as the pipes for the fuel to enter/exit the cells are separate (so no fuel mixing) and they are ADR qualified to drive both
they can
for the sake of not messing up the signs though
ima just pick 1
Okay so
The gasoline had the flammeable gas
the diesel had the flammeable liquid
am I right
but ain't both a liquid?
They are
both use Class 3 warning label
But when it comes to catching fire
Both emmit gases
and the gasoline's gas
is far more dangerous
than the liquid itself
hm
Right so I should get
For example
30-1202: diesel fuel, diesel oil, gasoil - unspecified
- Class 3 Flammeable
And what else
my mod actually doesnt have the environmental hazzard sign
so that falls off
I think that's all?
Just the number + the class 3
in my ADR book it only says class 3 and the yellow/orange square
Np
orange squares is front and back and sign is sides and back if i remember correctly
its soon 3 years since i took my adr xD
well I can't do front
think that is okay, not really hauled much ADR, it's just what i remember from school xD
Never hauled ADR lol
thanks a lot guys
Horses watered now sleep time

Are they in the back
Sadly i can't do animal transportations :( I'm literally allergic to almost any animal
Well yes

But allergy is basically saying that you're allergic to the fur
ik xd
Atleast i can go out with my sisters dogs
In a hazmat suit
xd
Morning
Poor man driving on sundays
😢 😢 😢
week off now
Can’t wait for RDR2
isn't it fun when you are plowing along, and the gps stops working, so everyone calls you and yells at you eventho there is nothing you can do to fix it xD
iphone google maps
@vagrant cosmos your truck is tracked?

Name of company?!?
Why?
@patent bolt won’t like that truck it’s a Volvo
I don’t mind them either one or the best trucks we ever had was a Volvo
And 540HP. What more do you want on hills?
@paper bear The company is in Germany so you won't get in
Well not here
Lol
It's enough for what i transport
Basically lmao
😂
I'm on vacation but when i saw the truck i yeeted the fk there
It's so comfy
Way comfier than my truck
They prob have the best options in the truck
Don't want to get in. I'm just curious as what the name was. But the fact its in Germany rules it out.
Wouldn't catch me driving a lolvo
I'm not Swedish
OH that's why
?
All g
It's just the pic you put up looked like a company I mightve recognised
i see
But it wasn't. They just have very similar truck styles.
Hello professional truckers
I need your help again
Thanks to mods, I've gotten more realistically performing gearboxes and engines for my ets scania, anyway the point is
I now have to chose from 10 different, yet identical opticruise gearboxes.
I got 10 variants of GRSO925R, which is kikd of the meta 12+2+retarder.
The difference? Their differential ratio. I have options ranging from 2.20 to 4.80 in such ratio.
What is the difference really, and what would you advise me to use?
Driving a 6x4 S650 if it matters. Not really a heavy hauler, I haul 15-20 tonnes constantly, I just like not struggling at hills
2.2
a lower ratio will give you a lower rpm
I see
I am so ready for my new truck

@thick cedar i only do long haul
Well i mean i like long hauls but not longer than 2 weeks
My gf would go crazy if i'm away for like more than 2 weeks
we do 1 week to the UK and Back then 1 night home then again x3 then 1 week off
but we transport horses so we have to stop at stables for our 9hour rests and some of them give us rooms with beds
I get quite more when i'm long hauling
Yeah that's good
Do you have priority at the ferries ?
if there are big queues yes but not if it’s only 2-3 hours wait
I see
But if ferry’s are stopped for a long time (eg: a storm) and lorries are queueing like 30 miles, we can drive straight down the hard shoulder to the port
Man wish i could do that too
and horses always deck 3 on the ferry as it’s the least rocky when it’s rough
some drivers get angry and pullout infront of us and u have to slam on breaks and explain u have horses then most of them are understanding
Yeah that's sad but i mean...They don't know what you're transporting. But i wouldn't just pull out infront of a truck
yeah but when they have been waiting there 3 days not moving they can get very grumpy
3 days
Well i would be pissed too
yep so it’s understandable but still wouldn’t pullout infront of a truck
just put a big sticker with live animals on your window
With a 120DB speaker screaming: "LIVE ANIMAL TRANSPORT GET THE FUK OUTTA MY WAY!!"
😂🦀
Its honestly not hard to spot an animal transport
Usually its a rigid chassis setup lowcab big wide box
Everything painted in the same color
I mean animals are in a cool transporter too
Ours is similar to this (not putting ours cuz it had company branding on it and I don’t want to get exposed) but ur right usually a rigid with one colour
Idek how often i exposed my company lol

but it’s not just a company I work for it’s my family’s business so don’t want prank calls and shit
Cant u just color something over the name on the pic
Well i mean no one saw the number on the truxk i think
I could but i cba
Just been informed that my week off had turned into a 10 day trip to Denmark tommorow morning
Lol

Rip
not bothered tbh
Spain - France - Germany - Denmark i believe idk tbh
@formal minnow I thought I wasn’t but I am Spain-France-Belgium-Holland-Denmark
Niceee
First 2 Horses loaded now off to the next pickup
2 more collected now off to the next pickup
Vert nice
Did I do a good job with the tuning
If I maintain 1000RPM at 80 km/h
Engine has optimal torque at 950
Mmm will it fit or not
WTF do you have to fill your truck up every 2 hours?!?
feel like it's instant consomation, not mean consomation
It's an old Daf what you expect?
Huh
it’s a US truck
what? The one he just posted?
Yeah Daf is from Netherlands
182L/100km
Well i get that too but only when i'm on a hill and do a kickdown lol
Yeah the 182l /100km is because its a trashtruck. This one barly reach 100 km a day. Mostly only goes like 40 km a day
ahhh okay
But not sure if it really use 182 L / 100 KM tho. Even tho the truck drives like 40 KM a day on avg. It's only a 350 Liter tank beneath and we only need to refill it onces every week (Doesn't drive on sunday. To basicly onces every 6 days if it did).
my truck drives 24/7 when it snows and we need to refill at least once a day
Always kickdown
I mean i think we have about 1.000 Liters to get rid off every fill up
snow is heavy stuff
Yup that's true
DAF is best
No
To be fair. We have a bunch of Scanias and only 2 DAFs trucks and all the Scanias trucks have atleast broke down 3 or more times this year alone already. While only 1 Daf broke 1 time the hole year.
Our Volvos and MAN's don't really break down
We also had 1 man and a Volvo. Both got replaced by a Scania. Only the MAN broke down pretty often, but that was most likely because of the driver rather the truck.
I think we have about 400 Volvos and 150 MAN'S
Uhh we have maybe 15 trucks total

RHD not driving

My new truck will be revealed soon. (within 48 hours) I cant wait
Wewt!
My view this morning
😂
niceeee

How cold is it @vagrant cosmos
nice
I could not cope with that, holy shit! It’s 20° C here and I’m in a hoodie and jeans. It’s freezing
20 is summer here
I’m going to Denmark rn anyone know roughly how cold it is there
4° is fine
not too bad 🙂
@vagrant cosmos i found your snow plough
tbh idk where there is a snow plague here cuz it’s 18° and a very rarely snows here
you never know
True true
that a renault t?
woo woo never seen a snow plow range t
Thats a car
I’ll remove them in a min just put them here so u can see them
really!?? I thought it was a lorry
if your gonna hit a truck
always hit it on a side
if the truck hits u i geuss its best to get hit in the back / rear sides
Why would you wanna hit a truck?
no but i mean like
not getting hit at all is a bit better
if its unavoidabl
like
if a truck pulls out infront of u for whatever reason ya now
If a truck pulls in front of you, you'd best put your head between your legs and kiss your ass goodbye because you're probably going under the trailer.
Well in europe the trailers arent that big that an car really fits under it
Unless u have an real low sports car that is small u will usually mever have the car go fully under
But that depends on the situation ofcourse
True, in the U.S you can chop the top off of a car if you hit it hard enough
french petrol station has Burger King
56kg
and has terrible portions xD
McDonalds way better but still a burger
KFC is the best though
Noooo McDonalds
#KFC4Life
no sir BK sucks but McDonald’s
I don't mind Subway. KFC is very good
No
They are all horrible but out of them all McDonald’s is the best
Really Capri?
subway is good actually
yes
Why do ppl like Maccas
How?
im gonna eat
It literally has the worst quality out off all the fast food chains
cuz they put 10tons of salt on the chips
Enjoy! (Eet smakelijk!)
I'm definetly gonna eat smakelijk cuz i'm bouta drive to KFC

When your in France and don’t speak French
yes sir
aloah
bonjour
merci
dinner was good
What did ya get
Yeah that's hilarious @tawny moth I was in France once at KFC ordering food and I ordered it all in English and the cashier responded to me in French, it's like "dood, I didn't just order it all in English just for the lolz..."
At McD tho the girl was like "Please wait a second, my English isn't very good so I'm gonna go and get a collogue instead"
That's basically everywhere. I was in Spain once at Maccas and they literally couldn't speak one word of english
I found it was nice in Switzerland, most of the people there were able to communicate sufficiently in English
And those who couldn't were quick to apologise for it and explain that they didn't know much English so very very friendly people there I ain't got nothing but good thing to say about Switzerland
Yup. Switzerland is a very nice country
@patent bolt litterally the exact same ordered in england and the woman is speaking to me in French, like dosent she think if I could speak French I would have ordered in French
Yup, completely agree, in Switzerland everyone is very helpful and polite
Gotta admit...Germany is preety egoistic
But there are many people thaz are polite too
I went to the CSGO major in Berlin in September, The Germans seemed quite nice there but tbh 90% of them were drunk
Of course. Beer and wine is legal at age 16 here. Soooooo
yep, I got IDed and I’m 18
Lol i mean...tbh i bought beer and wine when i was 14 lmao
And the hard shid when i was 16 at the supermarket
I’m 56kg and look 15 so it’s understandable
Ya lol
Next month I’m driving this with a 4 horse trailer for a week
you can’t even call it a truck it’s a van

it’s has 3 seats and a sleeper cab and then 2 horses in the back with a 4 horse trailer behind
just need a BE license then
Nicee
a car license with a trailer license idk what it called but it’s so u can take trailers over 1350kg I think that’s the amount idk
isn't it 750kg?
4 horses is like, 2 kg
yep
Uh
Isnt 4 horse trailer and horses in that truck exceeding the max weight then?
Or are those horses really light 🤔
Only place I've really been to in Germany is Bernkastel and at least there people were really nice
Well drive on the Autobahn everyday
I grt brakechecks atleast once a day
Don't even wanna say how many times i got flipped off for driving tol slow even tho i was going over the speedlimit

Ha that's something I don't even care about anymore, it's like "Mess with me and try and brake check me and I'll mess with you back by not braking"
It's like them that's in smaller cars so it's them that should be more respectful towards us and have more understanding but they don't so that's why I'm like if you don't wanna learn the easy way there's always the hard way 😛
I honestly support that noxii
If your gonna be an braindead idiot by brakechecking an truck wich may be carrying up to 50 tons
I am happy to see the dashcams videos of those stupid peoples car getting destroyed
Finally got my jacket in.
My phone took an enormous picture so I have to put it in here. 👀

New trailer, the 4/5. We just got a big new client where we have to have 3 trailers ready 24/7.
Finally in Denmark
Nice!
isn't it weird for you driving on the right side of the road? xD
I live in Spain so always drive on the right side just Company is a UK company so all vehicles are RHD
oof

fallen logs
I am now in a 2014 Volvo VNL flat roof sleeper. It has 800,000 miles on it, so i wont be in it for long

Thanks
@thick cedar I'm sitting in my room eating chips and drinking IceTea
I prefer my office to my room if I'm honest
Oh god....Well i mean i'd rather get home everyday then sleeping in my truck for 1 weeks
I still get paid the same
Actually we don't, we get about 500€ extra per month for spending the weekdays in our trucks
And I actually sleep amazingly well in my truck and rather like sleeping in it, even tho I wouldn't mind an American sized cab
Yeah i like to sleep in my cab too. But i get paid much for working nightshifts and weekends
So almost eveery week i start Sunday 10 P.M.
So no use for me to be in my truck all week
But sometimes i am
When your truck bed is more comfortable than your house bed, you might need a new bed.
I mean i sleep as good as when i'm home
But i'd rather sleep home with my gf
She doesn't really like when i'm gone for over 1 week
Good that it doesn't happen too often
Im in Denmark. laying in the bunk wrapped up in a dovert with the heater on full blast. so comfy
@stable lynx the bed in my truck is almost nicer than any bed I've ever had.
My parents were cheap. At one point I spent six months on a deflated air mattress. It was 👌
Now, thanks to my pillow topper and fluffy blankets and awesome sheets, I pass out without giving it a second thought.
Insomnia used to be a problem for me. Now I sleep so well I only need about six hours of sleep!
Not sure that's how it works 😂
@radiant solstice I mean....If you find the right company here, yes. Else being a trucker in Germany sucks big time
It's all about routine routine routine
I used to go to bed at 3am and wake up at 11am again and the first couple of times you find it hard to fall asleep and really really tired when you wake up but in the end it's a routine and your body will have learned it and feel better by it
ye Ik

Waiting for the Ferry in Rødby

Hi, I live here in Brazil and my friend says that there in Europe the roads are too narrow to drive a truck. Do you guys think its true?
English is my second language btw
oh ok
not as wide as american roads tho those are like obesitas size
kkkkk
lol
Well that depends´
Up here the roads are far from wide but we drive trucks on them anyways xD
yes
noice
haha I just slept 3 am and woke up 11 am now
Great
Dope!
I'm taking the CDL permit test Tuesday. Let's hope I pass this....
US Drivers: I am 19. At 18, I can get my full CDL and drive in-state. Just about every position I look at requires 21 years or older - some claim its an insurance requirement. Do I have to wait till 21 or would one of these employers hire me if I applied (after I got some experience driving)?
(tag me)
@topaz dirge you have to be 21 for interstate driving with a CDL. They're trying to get the age lowered but it's not happening as far as I know. It has nothing to do with insurance, it has to do with federal motor carrier laws. At 19, you'd have to have an intrastate CDL. Which takes place only in your home state. I recommend working for a farm if you can because they're probably the only ones who will hire you as is.
Thanks. Yes, in-state/intrastate is the only thing I could do. I don't want to do OTR/out of state for now anyways. I drove about 6 hours in a car and has dead tired..I don't think doing 6 hours straight in a semi is good for me 😆
I run full ten almost eleven hour shifts.
If I only drove six hours a day all of my loads would be late.
My girlfriend also dislikes working more than five or six hours.
You'll never get anywhere nor earn any money in this industry like that, sorry to say. At minimum you need to work 12hr shifts. At times I have 16 hour days.
Granted, for the first or last two hours of that I'm off duty and the last four I'm not driving.
I'm an OTR driver but I know local guys. It works almost the same way.
True. But local, you can hop out of the truck and walk around for 5 seconds at stops rather than sit and stare at the road. With local, you've also got the intersections making you move rather than having cruise control on and sitting back as I was.
Mind you, for all my trouble I make $1,000 a week almost. But I don't do it for the money anyway
That's true. Local is easier on your body in some ways but harder on it in others.
I will admit...
I hate refrigerator trailers but I refuse to drive a red truck
As far as local companies I know of that are decent go, J.B Hunt, Knight Transportation and Navajo Express are good for locals
But I don't know where you are
Wichita, KS
Melton operates out of there if I'm not mistaken.
They're flatbed and I don't know about their local division.
If nothing else, go drive yard tractors for a while. Get good at backing
I know National Beef in Liberal, KS could use a new yardie.
Theirs are shit
ouch 😆
I need some serious practicing with a semi before I actually go out and replace someone
Look up Kalmarr yard tractors.
They're just little yard dogs that run around shippers shunting trailers
I've seen one running back and forth across the street in town
Would be a great way to learn backing.
Get some experience with those and you'll be pretty good to go.
You'll get to school and they'll be like "why are you here?"
I still need a pic of my truck. It aint pretty though
