...This place looks like it could use some good news.

In a matter of days, I'll be starting my employment with Knight Transportation. I'll likely end up with one of three trucks:

2020 Volvo VNL.
2020 Freightliner Cascadia.
2020 International LT.

I'll be running in the Refrigerated division, over the road, so expect to see a lot more pictures. I also plan to show off the new truck here, even if it isn't a 2020.

Hopefully, it's a good opportunity for me. And I'll have a much better work ethic when I'm not literally living with my ex.

Eh, motorways here in the U.S (Interstates) are rather boring depending on where you end up. I-70 is amazing, I-40 is okay, I-94, I-84, I-82, I-5 and I-15 are pretty awesome.

But it all depends on which state you're in.

Actually yeah.
Most tires are recaps. Old sidewalls but new tread caps. They don't use them on steers, those are new. But they use them on drives and tandems.

Because its easier than changing gear with a h-shifter.

I was holding on to the steering wheel and the grab handle and had one foot on the top step. The truck I have is designed so that the bottom step is tucked under the top step, and I couldn't see it when getting out. I swung my foot forward but still missed. And when I let my weight down, my left leg curled up against my stomach and forced me backwards. I instinctively curled into a ball to protect my head just before smacking the concrete.

Hmm, I'm not entirely opposed to the idea, but its just to easy to fake and abuse, plus there's no way to automate something, so if we get lots of requests, we'll have to manually review each one and I'm not sure I'd want my guys to be doing that

Yeah, it could certainly be streamlined have a bot handle it up to the picture submission, then just have a moderator staff browse the applications

we do have people trying to fake it every now & then, I personally have only experience one who actually put some effort into it though

although, we are in the fortunate position of having some transport industry guys within our mod team, so generally we can sniff the fakers a mile off

plus it's mostly English based, where as TMP has a massive international presence with people from lots of different countries

We'll probably review something like this in the future if its needed, but at the moment things generally seem to be a-okay, and with the introduction of making this channel only accessible via claiming a rank, it should hopefully reduce the number of people who think they're drivers from using Google Images to those who are real drivers.. at least that's the plan anyway
