Gillespe?
Wait America has transits?
I haven't been on much lately. Been busy with work. Figured I would post a picture of my new trailer
They build then in Kansas City Missouri
Them I mean
I haul the regular transit vans regularly
Cool, light load I suppose
yeah, it was, but the money was good. Only a 10/hr run to the ford dealer
I only haul up to 5 cars at a time. I never get over 60k pounds
@serene mason the sprinters / transits are popular now in america for local delivery
I go reg to america and they just growing in amount.
@shell blade outriggers should be fully extended no matter the weight and distance
But 90percent of the time that aint possible so it’s handy to know what your machine does in certain situations
The other side was like a metre
Does it have all that leg deployment system on it @verbal cape
i mean, they SHOULD be fully deployed yes, by the book.
but, you dont need to
if youre just lifting something really light or arent even lifting over the side theres no need to extend them fully.
and same goes for pads. if you know the surface is solid then you dont need to use them
its only a hiab.
Newer ones all have sensors on the legs, we have a PM like that and it’s a pain in the arse to use unless you have it in override
You don’t always have the space to get the legs fully out and the last thing you need is for the damn thing to lock out on you mid lift
I’ve had one of the fassis lock out on me with a pressbrake on, and it ain’t too fun when you have a 10ton machine swinging round on you and you can’t even let the thing down to the floor
This is what happens when you have a parade
Our rear crosslay step broke off
(Yes this is a truck)
tyre?
No
Our crosslay step (the attack lines they are in the middle and able to be pulled from either side of the firetruck) broke mid parade
@shell blade I mean the navy fire department managed to pull this off when trying to get around traffic while responding to a major vehicle entrapment
what muppet goes well off the road with rain?
Our trucks usually do
small for a ladder truck]
It does not have a nozzle so we do not need to put any water on it
No
It’s a 102’ aerial
@serene mason wrong channel lmao
what you doing parking there
Wasn't me who did it. Some female dropped it
But it gets Better. One of my drivers fucked some landing gear up
Always tug the coupling
By not coupling correctly...
Hello I want to be in admin when the applications will be opened ?
Looks like you've got a right set of drivers in your company.
😄
Dunno what has real life trucking to do with you and your applications
reading comprehension is not requirement in this world anymore
People rush and make mistakes
Not a lot of room left lol
not bad haha
No straps? I’d love to be a traffic officer there
@rustic bolt very true always tug test. And he claimed he did and the fifth wheel latch failed but its been completely operational. So he was suspended without pay
@vernal comet do you tug test with the legs down? or just put them up just enough to clear ground?
Tug test with the legs up and shoot out from under the trailer 😂
I uncouple completely wrong though. Take the airlines off, pull the pin, send the suspension up a touch, wind the legs, pull out and level the suspension as I’m pulling out
Nobody split couples here so no bother about the handbrake
We have a stepframe that’s on a cable handbrake that doesn’t work so you end up chasing the thing across the yard when coupling
I take all lines off and same time open the hitch and pull out
With your fancy pants coupler
Yes
Some of us don’t have the pleasure
In the the 15pin suzi splits into 2 caravan style plugs
Just more shit to get tangled
And in hitch up, i just come enough force that i bounce around in the pin, it should drop it all the way down, or when i hook up duomatic, the trailer brakes release and then it locks
I’m guessing you have the air vbg also
Is that on air?
Cri
The mechanical hitches can hold only like 30t pull
I’ve only ever come across 2 with air
Most of the rest I’ve had to kick the shit out of
The pneumatic hitches are 50 or 75t
That is, pull directly backwards
Because theres insanely strong spring, backed up by constant air pressure
All in all, i got duomatic, vbg electric, ABS and forklift power plug for trailer
Some pics from this morning
The light goes to the back but idk why
Was for lifting a boat on the trailer
Volvo on the back
Van in front
@shell blade, I started with C.R England and now I work for Navajo/Digby on a dedicated route.
Also, @serene mason, I hate everyone who uncouples like that. Our yard dogs are horrible for it and we can't raise our air. Only lower and return to normal height. I sat for half an hour trying to jack down a 43,000lb trailer the dogs left ten inches higher than my fifth wheel. Here, if someone catches you doing that, you're branded a moron who creates extra work for other people.
I uncouple by yanking the lines, lowering the gear, pulling the pin, then if the trailer is loaded I'll lower my air bags and creep out from under it.
So as to not get shot forward
our yard trucks are at basic height for most trucks to fit under, if i have to raise the fifth wheel at all. i will lower the gear till it sits flush with my wheel. as you said it just creates more work for me to have to fix for the next driver
I said a touch, not ten inches... enough to skim the turntable on the way out
@shell blade with the legs lowered. ive seen truckers do it the other way and they look dumb when they drop the trailer.
and yeah it should brush the turntable when you uncouple. but some people will do it and drop it like 40000 feet -_-
Also her we have full mudguards so if we dropped the trailer at ride height you’d rip them off or the tyres rub through
Unless you'd drop the air bags it usually doesnt rub on my tires but then again haven't dropped a trailer yet. knocks on wood
If there's a bit of weight on the neck of the trailer I usually pump it up before lowering the legs as the neck will bend a bit
Otherwise leave it at normal height, hear the click then drop
Oooo, vaseline....
lol
Yikes...
thaats a fair size of crane
damn
One of yours @verbal cape ?
ouch
Ehh
Lighting is legally questionable, but it looks privately owned, and well looked after 7/10
@shell blade why legally questionable?
Probs cuz of those lights
I don't get it
aren't yellow lights other than flashing, on the front not legal?
amber*
amber lights denote for side of vehicle.
red for rear and white for front.
As far as I know is blue the only color thats not allowed
Almost all trucks here have them so i guess its legal
It’s a grey area, the only real explanation in the uk is that red light must not show to the front of the vehicle and no lights representing emergency services, so blue flashing
I see mainly amber/white lamps and some blue or green
i think there is a reference to MOT
in the UK
as I have an Japanese import bike with perinatally on initiators which flashed on turning on :), not a wiring short 😄
That’s a hefty hiab
@limpid oak Volvo right?
Ye Volvo
wow
xD
I prefer the og fl
Do y'all remember Patrick?
yes
well i am driving Scania R730 DC16 103 Euro 5 EEV
i just checked from my friend his instagram and he has on his actros on his steering just something looking like Milc rice
I drive a Van Hool TDX27 Astromega with a 510HP Paccar MX-13.
🤔
Isn't that Sascha LKW Fahrnünftig
no idea
who even he is
i am not even sure my friend on instagram is an real trucker
i just go and chill my life now i need rest after this week
So ein Gaskocher zB: https://amzn.to/2J1HKmc Ich heiße Sascha und bin Fernfahrer in einem Gliederzug. In dieser Videoreihe nehme ich euch mal eine Woche mit....
Well i defo do remember pat lol
Gotta drive a 6 axle trailer with 4 axle truck tomorrow
Had a ride in this bad boy
Doubt that you even drive a truck
Anyone who says 'i drive an 730hp scania DC16 103 Euro5" usually just lie
Pic or didnt happen
All you need to say is that you just drive a scania, not the model the engine and the transmission
And like anyone cares about it anyway, unless they ask
I drive a Volvo fh16 660 Euro 5 with an ato3512c and hub reduction, oh and don’t forget the bent exhaust
I pull fairydust from Edinburg to London and back in the day 6 days a week, whenever vosa try to stop me I flick the switch for the speed limiter, flip the bird and drive like I’m on the CD road
Larp?
Live action roleplay i guess
i drive a scania
im a real man
big trucker
i also drive a daf sometimes
most of the time.....
so im very experienced with different trocks
i can drive anything
and they automatics 😄
only the scania boi
the v8 drives itself 😄
but the daf, now you can tell a lunatic dries that
@queen brook so what exactly is wrong with him naming everything
never knew that was not allowed
if he was lying he would have probably just said a 730
yet you wont even be in the position to call me a peasant
hm?
if you call me a peasant as in a low income individual
then you are completely wrong
sounds like youre trying to tell us something... 👀
if he is saying that he is making me talk about money
i like to think of it as this... but ok
his steam profile explains some of that already
vac bans explain what kind of poor choices you make
I guess we all do the same job here at some point
We are truck drivers, any other job is higher on the sophisticated ladder than us
How about you pull your head out your ass instead of being salty over someone calling you a name on the internet
You know what, f the tanker drivers, I’m like the sas of truckers
Drive anything from a sprinter pickup to a tromboned low loader, hiabs, forklifts, even fix the things, do general when it’s quiet or mess in the workshop, can throw a sheet over a load and make it look like it’s just been wrapped up like a Christmas present at Debenhams, work til the jobs done so I can go home
One of my air suspension balls blew last night with 12t load ☹️
Bad luck much
yikes since when was driving a truck on the "top of the ladder" lmao
Really depends on how you define "top of the ladder".
But i'd say it's surely no where near the 'bottom'.
def not near the top though
Not saying that's what i mean or not, but how come you say so?

well would you look at that :)
Awwww

I heard that those things taste nice on the barbecue.
Brothers
My tachograph is broken yay
Happened to me once. Was a wiring fault tho. No speedometer, either. Which Also meant no limiter
Yeah, it was both. There was a wiring fault from the battery so a bunch of shit weren't working.
Once it went into high range it wouldn't come out of it without restarting it.
Like all kinda shit stopped working haha
Still, done 70 on the flat quite easily 😎
Yeah parameters in the tacho limit road speed
Until you put the magnet on
Keep er lit boys
@willow cove did ya get jumped by vegans yet?
Is that magnet on the gearbox?
I have actually haha @shell blade
protesters? @willow cove
@rustic bolt MosKiito?! 🤔
yep
gotta love america though
you can just run people off in the road if they jaywalking
and you ain't at fault 😄
police would be like, “here is a ticket for not avoiding a proventable accident”
Oh I feel drunk
@idle chasm mosse
wow. It's like it was built just for those beams.
they'll be built go on certain trailers. Cheaper shipping 😄
@dense kraken which phone are you using ?
Thanks for trying to tag everyone.
Just picked up a part of this bad boy
14 metres jib, 6T cable, 20T counterweight and some other parts
bernhard, weve been through this a few times. #photos for random pics of trucks you see....
only 20t of counterweight for a crane that size? our 160 has 32T extra counterweight
Bernhard rides in that truck, soooo...
Well then no one can post pictures in here.
I'm pretty sure everyone here drives a truck that belongs to their boss.
Yeah. I was messing around with you. C:
Please. Stop trying, because you aren't
Can we keep it civil please? Much love
♥
@queen brook are you a Discord Mod? lol
@paper bear i only took 20T extra with me it had like 80T
no
Looks like an Antos or something, Dame.
SoZ for posting it here moh, didn't know that.
Let’s see if the babe wants to go for a ride today 😋
as far as i'm concerned, you took the pic? you drive it 😉
if people say its their truck, i believe them
unlike the other people that are like, DO YOU HAVE PROOF IT IS EVEN YOURS?
where the weights on back?
?
yeah well you are a newf** anyways so yalls don't know whats happened here
i am a what?
there was once a time, where a bunch of people were acting like they drove trucks
and posted a bunch of pics offf of google
ok, im really bad at telling stories when im tired 😄
There will always be those people
But who can say who is and who doesnt drive a truck
I have my C
So i cant drive with a trailer
^
Guys I'm a plane pilot
I fly for klm
I'm flying right now

very fun
I just kicked someone out of the plane because he didn't want to listen
Yeah
Damn it I should ask my nephew how it is to fly a plane..
Some people here would make excellent politicians with the s- they talk
Now thats an #victoryroyale
😂😂
My dad new toy
our situation here on the east coast
How did the driver do though...
That’s pretty damn bad, drivers side impact and just look at how the cab is
Yeah..
Driver survived. His leg got caught but he's fine.
pretty
pretty daf
indeed
With the Volvo one before, I thought only Swift could do that.
0
Reminder: for random truck pictures, use #photos
It's also listed in the channel description, thanks!
Beacons on and ready to roll right @olive granite?
Just all the tools etc
well yeah its one of the biggest discord servers i have been to. so i know how ya feel
how long ya trucking for?
I'm not actually aloud to drive, im only 16. It is my uncle driving.
gotcha
As it is my uncle's truck and uncle's company.
i have it the same.
i was allowed to sit in the cab and thats practically it. i once helped with loading and unloading cargo
Yeh, i unloaded this at the other end
definitely would like to try to drive a real truck one day. but for now i am sticking to my ets 2 and ats
Yeh i have driven it around yard and stuff , quite easy
my good friend of mine. made a skin of his truck in game
ah nice
Good on you, its great fun being in a lorry, espicially a low loader like my uncles, you bounce around everywhere and the beacons flashing, people looking at you, being the king of the road, having wide load escorts, nothing better!
Yeah there sure is something special about it
Had a police escort for this
lucky. My uncle helped the military transport some stuff. so thats the only time he had an escort
Ah cool, we do our own escorts etc with our van and workforce
We have to have them quite often for our diggers etc
yeah his company does it only with the bigger construction stuff that needs moving
Ah yeh
exactly how you said diggers etc.
Yep
Cause we go through country lanes all the time with this sort of stuff quite often we do need an escort from my cousin in the van
yeah gotcha
Ah right , the new ones ?
he has one from 2012
i ment the scania
it was the fourth version of the mercedes actros
ah hes getting a scania R
should be the one you showed
idk when hes getting it though
for now hes only promising that he will get one 🤷
ill have to wait and see
Well my uncle has his ,,own" truck. he partially works for Bio Timber. so delivering wood from the forests stuff like that. and delivers needed stuff to the sites. diggers stuff like that. if a truck is needed they can send him with the truck to a different location. So he helped out with delivering food products. But he mostly delivers other building material from the area. He has a very interesting trucking life.
ill tell ya more in the pm
My dad's old truck before he passed away
saw a truck in town today
it was odd because it was an american flat bed trailer
not a UK thing 😃
nope was driving
Ah
ya standard american flat bed
but in the UK
they must be longer than standard
for the UK i mean
The one's ingame are somewhat like the one's IRL
i don't have ats
Ah
i go america regular
Ah
recognised it straight away
the chassis and tail lights
that distinct curve
and it is like the one in ATS
..googling
could be a 53' one
uk = 44'
he was running his beacons
45 foot or 13.75m most uk trailers are
I’ve seen some tandem flatbeds from the us, think they have something to do with the oil rigs
Running beacons if your over length? Ha
I didn't bother last time. Was 3m over but started at 3 in the morning so roads were nice and quiet
Plus, I was on the a9 so it's not exactly a small road.
Beacons just become annoying after 8 hours
well your risk to take 😃
beacons dont make it smaller
Unless its larger than the lane, or noticeably long. No beacons
Looks normal to me
yeah, why i didnt bother
would look like a total twat rocking down the motorway with the big beacons on 😄
beacons attract unneeded attention
most of the time if im running wide or long i just stick the red and white tape on and fuck it
aye
you have the double tag axle and middle steer
what trailer weights you slap it down
Usually the tag drops at like 6ton over the drive axle (middle axle) or something like that
It's based on kingpin weight. Not overall trailer weight
So there's like 12-14 ton all together there I think. But because there's like nothing over the king pin I kept it up
Only one axle steers on the unit. At the front.
It used to be set to manual. So you could lift it no matter what weight was on it. Some drivers kept it lifted when they really shouldn't have so that got changed...
Now it's auto drop after a certain weight.
nice
tag lift steering?
what truck are you driving @queen brook
Sisu
err, wow. since when was that trailer so short? 🤔
This is the one without ramps
but even then, its small for a 3 axle
ours...
but yeah, its the sheeting up that gets me.
so much time, none of our loads have really needed to be kept dry....
and theres not much to hook the straps down to at the axles
you cant put them on the edge of the trailer because its all like 5mm thick down there
but yeah, i honestly dont know why theres only 2 ton deck rings on it.
but ive chained a 10ton loadall down to it 😄
@willow cove also
https://youtu.be/LircTrv4OEI does this sound familiar ;)
Forgot about it
That yalls drive muricamobile too
@paper bear I deleted your message with the swearing, I would think you'd know better than that, please don't do that again
Took your engines and made tgem better
@sonic hinge leidschehage
This? Oh its new 😄
Yeah, but that circus spoonfork trailer
Any one know online shop where can I get Pennant or other interior accessorys?
Steam market
Well then, I got my stuff from local place, but therr was some dutch store with loads of crap
Truck-accessoires.nl has loads of various trash atleast, no idea how good llace it is tho
Dan is correct
How to fuck up east european style
damn
lmao
did he try and tip, ram failed. dropped down and broke axle everything?
I think he might be Slightly overloaded.
Renault T as well
nothing of value was lost.
the fuel tank lol
besides the tire
damn
although, I was talking to a mate that drives one. He said the engine/box is decent, but the cheap Renault body ruins it.
Riced renaults look the best
Those T's have Volvo engines, so they won't break down down as much as they used to.
Renaults don't "usually" break down. They're a decent truck. Just everyone who hasnt driven them slags them as cheap and horrible.
More comfortable than most of the others out there though.
DAF is the most comfortable imo. But so nice to drive.
only a renault 😄
no good boss would choose one either
i said it before and i say it again, if you come driving with a renault or iveco, with mindset of "I'll spend as little money as possible on the truck", You shouldnt continue in this business
Mercedes 🅱enz

cringe
Morons
Volvo 😦
Volvo 🙃
Check Engine light on = 😟
then you've never driven an Opel (or Vauxhall), they sometimes light up like a christmas tree
@latent quail I'll take your Vauxhall and raise you a Volkswagen 😂
Driving against the limiter is just plain stupid
That ✓
Never trust that it will stop
Tho 10km/h hour isnt a big lf a diffrence, it still influences it hardly
But 10L in consumption does
nah, hes 100% telling the truth haha
Mind your language Neely
any finish trucker here, who could film his/her drive irl with HCT? i would be intrested in seeing how the trailers behave irl 😃
Where you at^
Those trailers behave just like normal rigid trailer
Depending on the HCT type
Most have enough steering axles tgat it goes by same lines as normal lenght rigid
Rip babe
oh a truck from Heijkoop down, poor them 😛
what went?
The roll of the water pump got stuck so the belt came off
Which caused a overheat engine spraying boiling coolant
That scania is cool😄
that boom position is rather stable
better than the common front mounted boom
driving while hoisted is quite unsteady
yep
we have 6 trucks with front mount and 1 with 2 side mount
the side mount doesn't hoist quite as high but doesn't sway during back slamming
The front mounts are bad
back slamming / shunting a common thing? reverse and brake while hoisted
this truck shakes on the hoist if the shunt is too strong
judders the whole cab
yes
thats how you take out the leftovers from the front corner
Also your truck is 2 axle i assume
Thats why its so wobbly and dangerous too
Also i need to take the trailers box ontop too
So 1 boom would prob go boomboom
And yes, for some reason i drove clay and other garbosoil with a casette
Idk whats the point
The rails were almost everytime covered in it
And man was it a mess
Also 2 tubes is more stable than 1
If you got 2 and one blows the other comes down as well
My truck was fixed within a day btw
The old daf is alive again
Took her for a ride home yesterday
Hi guys
hi
Hi
My husbands truck is on the left
👍
yeah, dafs are always comfortable
But it’s a huge diff my 2007daf vs this 2018 daf
yeah, cf vs xf is a big difference
Wonderful DAF
stoneridge custom dashboards
question is it worth to buy this because i need transport gravel soon
i need it for my Dongfeng DFL 3251
Idk. I mostly see these kind of trailers here.
oh wait my bad i totally read the question wrong
.
Idk if that trailer you show is any good
all i need hope that i don't flip
the bottom one id prefer over the top because counter balance
it cost me 7000 Yuans
Why does it exactly have to be schmitz tho
well
we don't have european trailers In china expect i buy one from Russia but that can get more expensive
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TwKxJ2IHTjo mostly if you buy wrong trailer this happens
haha, i think i prefer the rear tipping trailers 😄 those side ones have always looked dodgey to me
“I need it for my dongfeng” sounds like some kinky code word 😂
Risky at 90%
👀
Lidl bakery 👌
Huh
Greggs 👌
Lidl

Aldi
The loading ramps at most Lidl's are horrible, maybe that's it
New motorcycle?😮
Car talk can cover motorcycles as well.
Despite the name, it would make more sense to have it there, than here, as it's closer to a car than real life trucking.
Honestly. Since we're the only people that use this chat. I think we're all happy with him posting a picture of the motorcycle with his truck in the background.
Which is why I said "probably more appropriate"
which is why you didnt need to say anything
No, in future I'd like to see images like that posted in #car-talk, otherwise it'll be deleted.
Especially as I see people regularly complaining about here random irrelevant pictures being posted in this channel, you can't have it both ways.
Indeed 🧐
that poor thing....
@queen brook I'll let you off this time, leave moderation to the moderators please. Thanks.
@twilit pivot Be better off posting that in #photos, as random truck pics really belong there! Thanks! 😁
@candid solstice i tought truck spotting was part of this channel of your own photos 😦
didnt knew,.
It's fine 😛
Moh stealin glory
If you don't drive a truck, dont post your damned truck pics in here
We DO NOT wanna see some random truck you saw outside your nursery schools
This is for real life trucking stuff
not "I saw a real life truck durrhhhh"
I wonder if the battery can even keep up with all those lights
so if i know someone with a truck, drove that truck and then took a picture does it still count as real life trucking?
or will i just get hated on again
Wait, do i see snow in Dutchieland
Thats why you use bloody sand
I always have a bucket of sand with me
When driving during winter
Use the sleeper cab instead
My bad moh🙂

Besides, it's back seat moderating. So I'd stop that if I were you.
We have a rule against that 😉
It is indeed.
Feel free to continue with that, just don't be surprised if you get warned again.. #discord-rules if you need a reminder

Pretty sure we can look after our own channel
When people post random stuff in here, it’s like someone coming up to your cab irl like “look what I saw” yeah mate jog on
Yea while the truck talk happens in the waiting rooms etc
To be fair, this isn't "your channel" this belongs to the owners of this discord.
If you want unmoderated talk, make your own discord. It what I did.
We have one but ofc we need to flex here sometimes too
Not all of the fellas are in it
From a scale of 1 through 10, how well does ETS/ATS simulate real trucking?
I'm not a real trucker, but I used to work in a warehouse loading + unloading trailers, and i think if the games had more detail in the loading/unloading it would bring that up to an 8
Ill say 5
I'd say roughly 4-5
Interesting. We have some 7s, 8s and 5s.
Custom and Jolli, why do you feel it clocks in at a 5?
Just a feeling i have tbh, I havent started as a driver myself yet, but I do have my C license, and i'll have my CE in roughly a month.
3/4
well, in accordance to my job anyways. but the only thing it gets kinda right, is the driving on motorways, and reversing mechanics. You dont have to stop for tacho breaks, worry about opening and closing times of depots. Load the trailer, unload the trailer. no roadworks or crashes or queues to get past on the roads. no low bridges or weight limits.
and for my job i barely touch the motorways really,
^
all our sites seem to be down b roads with no easy access
nearest motorway is 50 miles away
70 actually*
Wtf, @paper bear may i ask where you live? 🤨
scotland, right in the south west corner.
aaah
Understandable then 😋
so we blast around on single carriegways most the time, and half the roads when you meet another truck youve got to atleast reign it in a little
ets 2 youve got 4 feet either side of you, and thats just to the centre lines
"real trucking" was his exact words, and all of the points that @paper bear pointed out is part of real trucking. The only thing i can agree on really that would be stupid is tacho breaks
But things such as low bridges and similar would be a great addition imo
but then again "it's just a game that's meant for fun"
stopping for fuel is also an inconvenience. if the game is "meant for fun" why is that still in it?
online is out of the quiestion. scs doesnt need to even think about online when developing things
its not at all related
imo it would be a good addition, adds to the simulation aspect. after all its a sim
if youve got a certain trailer, or cab then you will hit the bridge
^
some trailers are higher than others.
flatbeds?
and the weight of the truck/trailer, and how much the road can hold etc
if you got my point with that one
that would be dependent on mgw
so trailer configs
more axles would actually be a negative....
as you would want your mgvw down
so less axles
well then again, you would sometimes want your weight spread across more axles
Yeah roads are a lot tighter here, especially when you get up babmi’s way. It’s understandable why they still have the old speed limits in place, ie 40 on a single carriage
50 on a dual carriageway is a little crap though
Especially with all the average speed zones
They’re everywhere
@cunning marlin
hi @tall sonnet
Not sure if you have chat logs but TurkeyJosh was attempting to spam
Looks like one of the bots prevented it though 👍
nut
dayum bambi that turbo
nice one!
not really the turbo sound i listen to, more the exhaust note of an open piped 730
Henrik Hansen met een Scania 4 Serie bij Hartman in Veenoord, Veel Kijkplezier.
this one?
anyways, it has Euro Badge 2 lol
open valve i guess
i just like a smoother sound
Yalls wont get that with a scania
Nt try tho
Also F semis during winter
First intercourse and i got stuck
And ofc it doesnt lift axles because it isn't an sisu its an Volvo, good thing weight transfer was invented tho
End of the day
I asked my dispatch untill what time i can load at the next adress "7pm they close" i get there 6pm gate is closed
Nice long night sleep
Nice Volvo
Thnx its a stick too 💪
Still would take an fuller anyday
Jolli is a fuller convert now
Slacker
@queen brook i can’t lift my axles either if i’m loaded but i can give my driven axle all the pressure
It just deflates the air suspension of my rear axle
Yeah i thought you meant something else
Not sure once you’re stuck it would help
Never used it yet
Nah, it wont help when you get stuck real good
But on soft ground and slippery conditions it does
But atleast on our non pulling axle versions have robsons
But meh, no use on ice or snow
So thats why yalls can lift em axles
Poor man's 6x4
But the thing is ive just slowly learned that the weight transfer in Sisu is in the same button as axle lifting
Idk how i just heard about it now
Yeah, just dont lift it all the way up
Same way all hydraulic lifters been
3 positions, up - off - down
Hell no 😄 the leaf spring will say batang if you do that with casette box full of something
Or even the trucks own jed
Bed
Yup
But i have seen people lifting it all the way up with full load
Suprised they havent had to change the springs yet
Reinforced springpacks perhaps
Meh, not even they would hold up with all the force coming to 1 axle
Atleast i doubt they will
Oh well
Yeah
Rarely use the weight transfer anyway
Me neither
Last time i remember using hydraulic weight shifter was in a 8x4 Scania heavy hauler
It was not exactly ordinery 4 series
Tuned 144 "530" (610) v8 with your usual manual H shifter, 8x4 with taglift and height adjustable table... All nice stuff
Behind it was heaviest Siimet 4 axle lowbed with ratings up to i belive 120 tons
Man im missing low loaders already
Atleast yalls have synchros, imagine going uphill with an fuller on that load
You have to go through the whole gearbox
Yeah, but i still double clutched it because it wss faster tgat way
Also i survived out of the tightway™
Now home calls, idk why i had to take 2 loads of 0-55 there without an trailer
I think my favourite things to move were the army's leopards
There was enough space on the main road to leave the trailer
I gotta double clutch my daf in the morning or it won’t shift at all
I guess the gearbox would need some new parts combined with perhaps thick oil
Makes it shift like balls when it’s cold
Cold old oils
Its normal
Volvo has same feature
Thicker oils make it even worse
Hydraulic oil is already thick stuff
Received my poppy lamps today
Gonna install them 2morrow
Make the truck a driving christmas tree
Excellent
So i havent had this before
But im on the waybridge here where i loaded
And my truck wont start anymore
Rip
how about backing into a yard and not being able to workout how to hoist the back to unload while several other trucks are waiting as well
or the electronic tag for the weighbridge randomly won't work
or the truck you are in has lost the tag and you get told to do a dummy weigh
The loading ramp is like max 2 buttons to operate
Most have 2 buttons, in up and reset
what ramp?
Or what hoist ypu talking about
the standad main hydraulic behind the cab
Power on, and then just tilt it down and drop it to ground, then reverse to dock
handbrake + PTO + PTO swich, then the hoist button and then the limiter to go up the last bit
Lol, you still have it on truck's own PTO
and put yr foot down in neutral
Thats painful
...
company is waste managment
or waste ^ of ^ management
one truck took all summer to get a fan in the sort bay, then all winter to get a light in there
this happened cause the top latch for the door is bent and the runner didn't know so they started with only the bottom latch keeping the door closed. got to the first hoist and it all cane out after the back slam
to this day the door still isn't fixed
One dirty Bring
truck 😄
The only true FH volvo is thr mk1
There is one peeking in our school
both
