Well they used to be like that they didn't want to hire new drivers without much experience, they wanted you to be no older than 25 but with 50 years of experience so as I said now they've bitten themselves in the ass. It was basically impossible to get a trucking job a couple of years ago in Sweden due to this, as long as you didn't have contacts. However people on the other side of the borders like Denmark, Norway etc they weren't afraid to hire new drivers and let them prove themselves.
So here we are now with people that wanted to become truck drivers in Sweden a couple of years ago now having either changed job type completely and don't want to be a trucker anymore or Swedish truckers working abroad cuz they got a good job there with steady pay and Swedish companies now have no clue of what to do.

Actually they’ve managed pretty well in Norway this year. The worst part for them have been in Finland, like the roads by Kilpisjärvi and Kautokeino have claimed their fare share of foreign trucks this winter

Red diesel us only a color adjustment and a lower taxe price on it. The color adjustment, is for the customs to check if you used it. Its forbidden here since 2013. Lot of old coolers, run on diesel.
Even thats forbidden now. Only fishingboats and ships used for work like container ships, are allowed due to the international water agreement.

we use in all our plant equipment, excavators, generators, loadalls. everything.
Even our mobiles cranes, which are classed as a "special" vehicle can use it. We have a bunch of them.

Ha yeah we have 1 of those roads outside Tromsø where it changes between lanes, ergo you have about 1km of 2 lanes then they merge again and you have about 3 such parts where it changes there, you end up behind a car doing 76 or 78 which really ticks you off and you decide to try and overtake, but as soon as you get close to the 2 lane part he floors it away from you but when you're done with them all they start slowing down again and you end up right behind them, such things really pisses me off. I mean IF a truck catches up to you let it past as he/she is obviously driving faster than you you slowpoke...

Ha yeah, we once tested a theory me and my friend. This specific road that I'm talking about, my friend and me drove in a truck there and we did 80km/h this specific road is a 80 zone and we had some cars incl an ambulance just behind us and he told me "Do you think that ambulance will overtake me if I go up to 84?" and I told him that you can go up to 90 and I can still bet that that ambulance will overtake you, so he did and boy were I right, as soon as the 2 lanes started that ambulance came overtaking us, we were then 10km/h above the legal limit, he must have been between 15-20 above then. i think they just dont like having a truck infront of them because at this one roudabout, on a single carriage way, cars will overtake you whilst you accelerate from it. They dont even know how fast your going to accelerate, or how fast youre going to cruise at. they just want to get past you.
