any france trucker here?
when people say you need a 730 🙃 did you come from eurotruck ?? 😉
Damm
that stuff happened so much when I worked at Ringnes, I had to replace a guard plate 8 times in 2 years… it was ridiculous.
worst case was a forklift driver hit a tower of pallets full of pepsi max, toppled over about 2500L of product
Pepsi doesn't taste good anyway lol
I guess his insurance pays it, that was at least the case at Ringnes with the poor fella who ruined the products
Do you operate your own trucks @queen brook?
no
i'd rathher slit my wrists than do that
I suppose it depends what kind of work you do when you run your own trucks
Ferry trailer work pays pretty good over here and so does bulk tanker work so stuff like plastic granuals/powders
its more of the stress and other stuff
ferry trailer? as in towing those blown up semi trailers that come by ship to the harbour?
quick followup on what we discussed in #photos earlier; MAN is rolling out larger tests with their eTGS and eTGM, former is 2 axel variant, latter is 3 axel distribution truck @ 26 metric tons, both comes with 350KW motors with 3500Nm torque.
eTGM has an estimated range of up to 200km, eTGS has an estimated range of 130KM.
Like DFDS trailers, pick a trailer up at the port and go unload it then take it back
There's been a load more ferry work since the whole cabotage deal in the uk
I found a picture of my dad,s old truck
What is that tiny axle?
Esteppe
it looks like its an trailer axle taken from a small car trailer
It's so we can gross an extra 4 tonne with the 6th axle
But it costs a lot of money and imo isn't worth it. It's convenient to save space in the chassis for PTO equipment and that's about it
ineed, since thats a bulk truck, it probably has a BFG compressor driven by PTO
atleast grain trucks do
It had a mouvex 1000L/hr blower on it
Would unload a 57m3 road barrel in just under an hour
Now he has this with the same setup but a proper pusher axle
now that looks as sensible as midlift can be
what is the max tonnage in UK actually
cant imagine its that much
44 tonne
Tbh having a 385 super single as a midlift can make the truck a bit understeery
But it looks good
And I hate that container work... whoever thought it was a good idea to put a plastic liner in a container needs shooting multiple times. Sugar is the worst for tearing through the liners, any little crease in it and you end up chasing yourself around with duct tape patching the liner back together
hmmm.. nice one
I'd say that was more than a couple of years ago 😂
19years to be exact
The overhang on that with the tag up @queen brook
that looks so stupid
how?
still
Yeah.. so you drive on 2 continents alot do you?
no
i went to work and this new guy he couldnt get the orange truck out do i got it out for him
then i went to grab my load
why i have hard time beliving it
take ur time if u think im lieing
the scania has bulgarian or some eastern european plates, the american tuck is clearly in US, it has US plates and the scenery looks US, below is taken in europe, your language tags are Arabic and Urdu..
I do have hard time beliving you
hmm..
how do i remove them
same way you added them
@uneven summit haha, welcome in our channel, and you not understand...
Also the fact that it wasnt his first time taking random google images and showing them as his own
Reverse image search is bae
Seeing someone post two trucks like that
Trying to make out it's the same company especially
or the fact that one is clearly on another continent with US plates
and the other one has bulgarian or some eastern european plates
I mean, you dont need to be that tryhard to try to fit in this channel
you can just ask something and somebody probably starts to open up, especially if some engine tech or something intresting
@serene mason what do you mean with
The overhang on that with the tag up
I don't really get it <.<
Something about the axle yeah
The swing of the rear end with the tag axle raised
?
Wtf
No I mean
You will have to be careful not to wipe out stuff with the axle up
With the axle raised up
and you dont really need to look out for it
It looks a lot in the pciture
But i mean theres something we need to be more carefull of
letme find a pic
There, 12m beam
if you swing something
with that
yeah thats only couple metres
It's 12 meters
hehe
in tight spaces
I mean one beam broke the air horn
I think 2 years back
the guy said
who drove that before me
I don't know
im starting to like MAN
even more
It sounds like cummins
I'm not a fan of the seat in mans
I get a bad back if I'm sat in them for too long
But that was in a tgx
the man seats are absolute garbage
theyare designed for spineless creatures
not for human drivers

I think someone from Tmp got caught in Norway (bad, but good enough translation)
Ah yes, the norwegian light regulations
4 series 420.. it sounds like a long plate, probably shouldnt been in norway in the first place
has a lot of lights
most likely bald summer tires and no brakes
Considering he only had to remove the lights, I'm guessing that's one of few cases where breaks and tyres was OK. Vegvesenet is usually quite through
I'm guessing Norway is like Switzerland when it comes to extra lights
There's a max amount of lux at least, I can't say I remember any other rules about lights
here as far as i know, they only care about the color of lights and the amout of high beams
White/amber at the front then and 4 more main beams or something similar
2 or 4 for regular vehicles, 6 for heavy trucks
High beams, 2 low intensity @0.7 øux
*lux
you mean like the grill lights and then those roof bars with 10 spotlights on
I would take a nice big gulp of used engine oil and accept my fare
Fate
Mix in a bit of diff oil for good measure
@rustic bolt 🤢
The new earthmoving scania
If im not wronh
What is this thing
im not sure
looks squished
Looks like it has ran into a wall
One day you'll have to drive a new generation g cab vabis dog
Are they any good?
i have not personally had chance to drive one yet
only when i moved it around the garage to wash it etc do our things to it before being taped
havent taken it to a highway or with proper loads
what i heard from the driver who basically drives the new R450, it rolls suprisingly far even with gear in, the frictional resistance is abslutely minimal, surely bearings will get worn out eventually etc so it will become more resisting, but as of now, with roughly 150,000km on it, it is very smooth ride, no as smart as cruise control as in the older generation Scania
You guys run opticruise?
ofc
when the opticruise reaches noticeably better results in terms of fuel consumption and smooth out the driving, why not
even the ex-ex-trucks had opticruise
last manuals were the 2007 or 2008 first R-series and the 2 Volvo FH12 mk1 (square lamps)
not that there were volvos after that..
untill now for the experimental longer combination
Damn I miss them old volvos with the square lights
only good volvos after F series
The very first version 2s were good
You could spec the 500 with turbo compound and with a retarder
I believe scania let Volvo use their turbo compound system and Volvo let scania use one of their engine brake systems
is that turbo compound the wierd messy sytem with turbochargerr, then a turbinehousing connected to the crankshaft?
Yeah the turbo is connected to the timing gears and helps turn the flywheel
No but when you take it off, you know about it
when did volvo borrow scania their engine brake system?
Would have been around 2002-2004
I remember my dad had one and it was a flying machine
Yeah a lot of them do
its seriously hopeless
The only decent engine brakes are volvo's VEB and the actual patented jake brake
never knew volvo did that stuff
i only know that the VEB is actually somewhat powerful
it works
Volvo have VEB patented
It's a very logical system which I've seen improve over the years I've worked for this Volvo agent
They have 4 rocker arms instead of 3
The exhaust rocker and the 4th rocker work in harmony to brake the engine
With oil pressure across the whole rocker shaft
intresting
I got told the tonnage it's effective up to but I can't remember
I'll take a picture next time I have an engine cover off
Or I may have one on my phone
Mercedes btw has also quite good exhaust brake
i dont know who made it but it also stops pretty nicely
I saw the ugliest DAF I've ever seen today, I wish I had my phone handy
it was literally a turks MP truck. Just lights. Just Lights.
other than that, the mercedes sounds like its running on 5 cylinders all of the time
ot 3
or*
but the exhaust brake is good
it'll still perform
what year merc?
2014?
its been 5 years in the house now
its in process of being ran down now at faster pace
aka being ran on active loop to drive it to end withn next year or so
and hopefully same time the MAN also will go
out with all the german trash and in with more scania
I hope you get those new ugly ones.
yup
the new ugly ones
but atleaest the grill lights are covered up
only daf lights in the roof is left
meh, I'd stick to ze germans
bah
the MAN is absolutely miserable to drive, no driver comfort and the Mercedes is otherwise good but thirsty
while being weaker than a 450 scania
(merc is 510)
we stick to Scania because the drivers like them, and the driver comfort is something that MAN cant get nowhere on same century, and Mercedes is lacking
The only MAN worth a damn is the 6x4 adventure trucks
bah
Get out
that's a funny looking campervan.
with minor modifications it'll be one
beautiful thing is that you can pick those off for couple thousands off army auctions every year
and the engine is a big tractor engine so it will have spare parts for long time
same as the old ex-Mil Dafs in the UK
respray and make a nice interior, Perfect off road camper
yup
lol saying the new mercs are thirsty
I remember the early new ones has a ridiculously thin oil grade in and the engines were failing within 100,000km
Just to get good fuel economy
the mercedes does like 35l/100km
pathetic
the scanias does almost 10 less
and they weight more
with less power
and yet they pull harder
i think lowest of all has been 27l/100km with absolutely full load
but 25 or 26l/100km is fairly normal and averige
For the vabis
yes
Not bad
with truck and trailer both full of trolleys
maximum load, not neccessarily heavy but front to back packed with stuff
Yeah I was gonna say it will be like our work, packed full but not necessarily freighted
yes, not max tonnage but max capacity
you know you got tight loads when the information that comes in advance, is almost 1.5 times the floorspace of your combination
truck holds 40 metres of stuff, and the calculation is estimated to be something like 55m or 60m
You will spend your 45 minute 'break' playing tetris
not tetris
but combining the cages and stuff together
because the warehouse guys are sometimes damn lazy
yup
welcome to my daily life
and thats not even bad yet..
but the 2 story trailers i told other day?
the stuff in trolleys cannot exceed the height of the cage walls no more than a fist height
or it wont fit
That's what you need
those guys needs to level out the things all of the time
untill the junk even fits in
and at best, they same time need to lose almost a truckload of stuff so that it all fits in
fortunately, i dont have to deal with those stupid double decker things
No they drive terrible
I would rather have a double decked with little wheels than those low clearance ones
i'd drive neither
let the polish drivers pull the mega trailers, let those few insane guys drive the jumbo trailers, i'll drive single story 4.4m trailers
Give me a good fridge, I can sleep through anything so idc
yup
Give me something with alcoas and a few lights and I'll be a happy kid
the new fridges are actually really silent
and the fact that they run on start/stop, so they only run for like 5-10 mins every 15-20 mins
you got a good 15 mins time to fall asleep, and then you arent bothered by it
not that you'd even hear the fridge inside the cab
wonders of having a G cab and not the tallest cab..
the air between the fridge and roof of the cab does amazing insulation
theres almost half metres of space between the cab and the refrigerator so.. yeah
Physics
yup
are awesome, just like gravity that helps you unload
yeah, i'm that lazy man, i lift the front of the trailer as high in air as i can, so gravity brings stuff down, me just bit steer them in right direction
and when you chain like 6 cages together, suddenly the trailer is empty quite fast
Opposite when loading 😉
yup
drop the level at front slightly
suddenly the 400kg trolleys dont feel that heavy anymore
especially when you pull like 3 of them at time
but milk trolleys, ugh
the man who invented them should be hanged from his balls
Never had the pleasure
they are practically self-unloading in a way that if one of the wheels come down a ramp or something unevenly, it lifts 1 of the corners up, and most likely unlocks the door, which is just "lift and open" style door
right corner where the door latches are, lands poorly, it lifts the door out of its locking hole and pretty much unloads every singe of the hundreds of milk cartons or whatever on the floor
and with best luck, the empty trolley then runs over the cartons and you end up with a sight where it looks like somebody exploded in the truck
also all non standard pallets, to hell with them, with pleasure i abuse and destroy them so that they are never put back to use
Forgot to unload into you w rag 😂
Define non standard pallets
anything thats not EUR or FIN pallet size
because they most likely dont fit snugly without leaving stupid gaps in the floor
you put 3 EUR pallets side by side lenghtwise or 2 sideways, or 2 FIN pallets sideways
Our pallets are massive in this country
BUT, if theres some trash pallet that is not standard size, you end up with some stupid hole you cant fit anything into, too narrow for a trolley, most likely milk trolley is too small for it, cant stuff EUR pallet there..
and that is wasted space, and which usually ends up me having to merge some trolleys to make all stuff fit
Get them abused like that 980 ti guy abused people at the pretzel rest area 😂😂😂
yeah
i infact do
usually thats how i stuff the last row of stuff in the box
keep ramming and hammering the wall of stuff with jump jacks untill it moves the couple cm so i can get doors closed
before that, i have in advance put the load straps couple metres forward in the walls, and squeeze it even more with the ratchets
and then ram some more with some pallet jacks or something
if else fails, ram the doors closed and keep kicking at the door handles so that they lock
and then just flip the tail lift shut
against it
And hopefully you don't bend anything
nothing but the metal trolleys
i dont care, theres too many of them in recirculation and they are getting repaired all the time
considering some of them are branded something like 2001, they have survived quite wlel
and do they take abuse
Then you get a load that roll on 3 wheels all the time and rock back and forth
at that point i can tell a warehouse guy to change it to a working trolley
if its missing a wheel or something
its their fault they put a faulty trolley back in circulation
The only thing I've mainly felt with when it comes to fridges is the metal trollies and pallets of fish
And I can tell you that there isn't anything more satisfying than giving the wheel a little jerk and watching fishy water come out the drains at the rear of the trailer and splash some smug guy in his convertible
notice the milk crates and the beer trolley on the left partially covered by the unload sheet
thats how tightly calculated the stuff is
computer
they input the amount of various pallets, milk trolleys, beer trolleys (those tiny 4 legged craps by the wall in the picture, normal trolleys.. their program knows the usual diametres of the things
and thats how it calculates the floor planning
or the amount of stuff
reason usual diametres, because some of those trolleys are beat up enough that you cant even get 3 of them side by side
Rip
oh well, the other end's loading is much nicer, everything is on FIN pallets and everything fits snugly, meat boxes up to the ceiling
and loading with forklift
Nice..
Yeah that's what you want
yup
Self loading still?
People cry over here over that
anyways, its 1 hour and truck and trailer are full with the pallet stuff
assuming everything is ready
Tacho on break
if they are still coming on the conveyor... shudders its gonna be long cold wait
rule number 1: tacho goes always on break, no matter what you do
That's what I like to hear
infact, thats how they are programmed here, they go on break after 1 minute of standing with engine off
well yeah
i leave the power on at the ignition always when i go load or unload anyways
because 12v cigarette lighters dont work when power is off
Hahahaha
and just so that all the bling bling lights are on
because having park lights on at night while whole tube is parked at a dock is sexy
What bling bling lights do you have in the cab
The typical angry chicken on the bunk and all that jazz?
naaah
there is a scania flag on the back wall which I did not place there
its fairly tame infact, just the usual porn lights in cab etc
And then all the extra marker lights on the outside
I like a truck with taste over one that has lights for the sake of having them
Aka every tmp truck
Pulling 64 tonnes the turbo hymn sounds sweet
i know!
gooood gooooooood
holy crap i actully have work today
Unlucky
This long gear shifter feels weird tbh
maybe
What :o
Good yoke
Kurjaluoto k-rauta spotted j-järvi
Scania
Yeah..
Took 3 tries to get the trailer bed on
By the oak near harbour?
Looked familiar
Knew it 🙃
It was a struggle
Springs didnt connect
With the trailer
Had to raise the end 1st time too much
2nd time too loe
3rd time charm
@rustic bolt had to reverse btw
299,000.. gonna no toddler anymore soon. gonna turn 3
Went better than expected
Why are you using a phone when driving smh
I never do that and never will
Im criminal
I dont
People must love overtaking you
AE limits to 85 anyway
Only poles and semi clowns drive 90
Not economical to drive 90 with this rear anyways
Ah
Also @queen brook praise the lord you have a nice length dolly or you would cry
Wtf, 2 renault mqgnums with finnish plates on container skeletons..
Madman and madgirl
Also tuned like avg MP truck
Grill full of light and a renault bullbar
they must be MP players that had a vision
aand now the 300,000 is broken
what i dont understand is that every single scania has different button placement
Yup
Ooo full air dog?
Now that's a rare sight nowadays
Whys that?
Because its so slack
No resistance
And you never remember at morning which gear youre putting in
Driver technique 😂
They are on cables instead of a linkage
And the RHD ones are a bit stiffer as the turret on the gearbox is on the opposite side so the cables have to go across the firewall and then back to the gearbox
But I get what you mean, you can't feel the gear position like you would in a truck that has a bit of spring in the gear stick
Is it just me that finds blind side parking much easier irl
I feel like I lose a lot of depth perception while playing and parking
Day starter cup right there
Doesn't the shifter collapse if you pull that collar at the bottom
Havent tried and not going to
Scaredy pants 😂
You do realzie it collapse?
assuming it nobody has broken it
@serene mason So thats why the volvo stick is so horrible? its on cables?
its literally worse than a linkage with missing bushings thats like waving a broom stick on empty bucket
but yeah, volvo is absolute nightmare to drive when you used to a sticks that center itself, in volvo it stays where you put it..
Yup and they are a nightmare for freying and snapping too
What?
And when you driven the volvo while, you are used to having to move the stick yourself, and then you are trying to put in reverse or crawler gear in most other trucks
Also why blindside parking works: You dont know what you would hit,
Also smaller the yard, easier it is to park
Dang you really need to clean your truck....
I clean my own stuff
If I get in a truck that's a total bomb site then it isn't going to get cleaned
My toolbox gets cleaned, the r580 gets cleaned and the fh540 gets cleaned
All the other drivers are useless/lazy so you end up replacing panels instead of cleaning them
I only clean trucks that i drive before vacation
Of course washing every friday
And trash
Too
The one I was in this morning has 900k and looks like only the rain cleans the truck
My boss runs the logic that if you look after your gear then you get all the nice trucks when he buys some
Then all the people who are rough/dirty get to drive all the worn out trucks
If the 540 or 580 driver goes on holiday I'm out of the workshop straight away. I jump at the chance to go out on the road
I want to drive all the time but the boss man wants to keep me in the workshop
I don't mind doing both for now but I still wanna get out
Tell him that you riot otherwise
Naw he looks after me
Besides I think when I want to drive full time I'll get my dad to buy another truck
My dad does powder tanks
Idk
There's a heavy haul company that's asked me to go there a couple times but its not organised
Uhhhh
I dont think you do
What's one of those
The thing what im driving
Basically you drag the trailers bed on the trucks bed
Easy
You 1st tip the truck of course
Letme send you a video
I think I know what you mean
logging is fun if you do it with real trailers
not those 6m 2 axle things that they use in alps or semi trailers
Yeah
I have only driven a log truck in school
@serene mason btw since you know stuff about volvo
lets just say that a full on 25.25m is much more agile than a semi trailer
in volvo or in general?
Volvo
its the syncrons
as far as i know
especially if the gear doesnt want to go in immediately
yes but in volvo those make noise especially when worn out or cold
Non synchronized is easier imo than synchronized
I still did double clutching 1st day with the scania
Its just a manner
Dude i still cant get over this turbo whistling
21 tonnes in the truck and 45 in the trailers
Damn music to ears
😃
Double clutch yeah
I always double clutch manuals, gives me peace of mind for some reason
I even do it when playing ets
Lol
is there any modern trucks who need double clutching these days?
Sisu
I said modern
Or you can do without clutch too
It is
Sisu Polar 635 Suomi 100 edition 2017
Wit eaton fuller 18 speed gearbox
It is modern uh
Its a mercedes with slight poking done under the hood, and optionally theres this 1m long electric motor between the engine and gearbox
and the gearbox.. well since its american made, its probably somewhere from 1960s
and the design hardly has changed
But its hand made 😟
I drove an ERF with the Eaton box once
Metal springs
and lift axles with no limits
What bothers me is that the V8 badge is lifted up behind the weight block but not the engine badge
But do i drive it into the ocean
I mean like
Its so windy here
I like it
Actually
@rustic bolt look at the drivers side window
Theres the engine badge
For you
@rustic bolt you want people to know you have a v8 but you don't want them to know it's a 520 and not a 730
If I see one without a badge I'm like yep that's a 520 unless I see anything else on and around the VIN plate to tell me otherwise
I should probably glue a V8 badge on the 450
Lmao do it
nah
You're like the v8 hater so you wouldn't dare touch your truck with a badge like that
nah, i dont want to ruin the look of it
and yeah, im not one to plaster the V8 logo everywhere even if it were a R500
or 520
gg
heeeheeheeee
Great
Drivers like you keep me busy @queen brook 😂
Naw just kidding... sh.... happens
yeah
sometimes even i clip the door hanger things to something and end up with annoying door holders that wont slide back in because the tube is bent
I can't remember my last proper mistake
I'm just good at fixing stuff before people find out
Metal fatigue I guess
but no casette
just some casual 4 axle thing
All we have in England is 4 axle tippers like that and semis
Yeah and that one was actually nice to drive 😃
so what do you actually do for job
food
Tine is the major dairy producer in Norway and owns many other companies as well so they make like microwave dinners etc too so we transport all of their goods between their hubs in the northern parts of Norway
Yeah but you are just stomping the prices down
what i have heard
that Huhtala does
sure
The finns are crushing the logging prices...
There are soooo many Finnish logging trucks driving around in northern Sweden (stealing jobs)
well if swedes dont dare to go there, we will
Haha yeah, don't think that's the only reason they get the jobs 😛
this would be the dream
lmao
Sweeet
I would cry owning a logging truck
I wouldn't be able to deal with how dirty it would get
lol as if thats worst
Well it seems liek
Like
That i need to wake up 3:30am
It's time to drive some moraine
Man i hate driving it
It sticks in the bed
Like glue
Can't pull the casette on without using shovel first
@rustic bolt wanna replace
haha no
You mean yes?
you couldnt keep up with timetable
😮
But i mean like
It's rainy
It's sand and mud
Well
Need to get some sweat dropping anyways
For the transfer?
Yeah
I would rather have OEM switches on the dash over having a big ugly box with the body controls on
They are on the dash
Duh
Next to handbrake
There is ofc a big ugly box for the snow plow controls
But i dont know anything about it
Other than that
Eww
You have to hold the foot brake in to select a gear also
Wheel from an axle popped
Time for some repairs
Atleast it wasnt from the pulling axle
@rustic bolt feels?
When you have 2 more loada
i have no such feels
I'm laughing
I mean yeah
Dunno how it popped
It wasnt even worn out
Maybe a sharp rock or something who knows
did it take out anything around it?
The guy who changed it didnt check
He just took it out, put it back in and we are ready to go
Expect im running out of driving time
Well
as if that stops you
if its not several hours over, you get away with it just fine
I have 1 hour left
And 2 loads
Not gonna happen
Driving hours shouldnt be restirected
driving hours shouldnt count in the working hours
they are counted into work hours
15
15 hours of work time and 10 hours of driving
Am i living in which year?
yes
Is this 2017
yes
4.5 + 4.5h makes up 9, then if you take a 45 min break, you can drive 1 hour more, total of 10, maximum work hours in day is 15 hours
you can extend only 2 times a week to the 10 hours
Letme check my direction book
I still have it
I know the 10 hour rule
But 15 hours
Hhnhmhmm
Yeah when i get home ill send you a picture
@rustic bolt
You can do 15 hours but it has to fall in line with your daily rests
I think you're allowed up to 3 reduced daily rests
Am I right @rustic bolt
@rustic bolt yeah i got confused
It was for heavy machinery
For wheel loaders etc
the 11 hour rule
But who really cares about it
I would make them fab it up so it works
Not spending 100k on a truck with two stacks only to have one work
18 speed fuller is mostly useless
No it's not
I never felt a need to split in low range
when youre doing 76 tonnes
maybe then
But our casette can only take 68
but i was only driving 70 tons at max
4 axle casette, and 4 axle
officially
unofficially i may slightly have overloaded past 70 tons which is already overload
21 tonnes in the truck itself, and 25 on the trailer usually
like I said, great for heavy hauls, useless for anything else
Can't take more
Depends really
On the customer
Who orders the stuff
100-0 gravel usually weights more
sometimes i felt like i dont feel like coming back to the piles, so i went with stupid overloads so that the wood pile was way over the cab
or the front wall
And moraine
still got away with only having 4 gears in the low range
moraine?
I mean like the wheel loader guy at OAK quarry is so horrible at loading
He takes too long and does overload
I usually prefer loading myself
but at that point when police asks who made the load, cant you blame it on the wheel loader
Yeah i can, the old driver who drove the casette before me did
He said that he blamed him, the police asked "Wan't to go talk to him" or something like that
thats the explanation i go with every time if somebody questions my meaty sausage and potato loads
the truck is handed over to me as loaded
so i have no say in how the load is done in it untill i open the back doors at destination
most loaders don't really care about overloading. once he loads you it becomes your problem.
same
happened a few times in my old bosses 7.5 tonner. overloaded by a tonne and a half. couldn't be arsed to unload so just hoped for the best
but due to the nature and schedule and the route, i cannot load it
basically we load the truck always for the next driver
tbh in France it's rare they weigh you, and on short trips you just don't think about it
yeah and i usually just avoid the checkups
especially if they have brake testers
because those things take forever
If they can't fine you for driving over the time limit
Then they will check every corner
in your truck
yup
not that they can look into the boxes often..
truck is blocked by rear lift which cant be opened without detaching the traielr, and trailerr is usually loaded right up to the doors
Being a casette driving you don't really need to be worried about attach the load
when you got solid stuff front to back with no side doors, having couple straps at the rear is enough
But you need to worry about the box being attached into the truck
1 guy dropped the box last week
Karjaluoto of course
Yeah, he didn't check was the casette locked in place on the trucks bed
So he started tipping
and it flew out
I know 1 driver who dumped an entire milk load from the trailer into a roundabout
when the side doors suddenly opened in trailer
I mean like i usually test if it's attached in place by braking
he had a fun morning
then quickly acclerelate
accelerate*
If it stays in place it's good, but if not
When then you're cucked
I have straps going from the wall to door at every other door panel in the trailers that open from side
I dont trust them at all
Lmao
well if you lean on the door, and you can see the sunlight..
I still remember the 1 Sisu driver trying to pull the trailer's box in with axles lifted
That didn't go well
and i weight only like 90kg
