Found the dragoon modifier
Is there a info on what certain settings do. For example
Elemental bomb?/enrage? and ultimate boss?
There is small questionmark next to these settings, if you hover over it, it should display a tooltip explaining what it does
Elemental bomb just changes the element of an enemy to match the one of the Item you chucked at him had (only works for items that say "powerful"). Enrage just increases enemy damage output when they drop below certain HP thresholds (as if hellmode alone wasn't hard enough). Ultimate Boss one Idk either, Im assuming thats for some of the extra content DraMod adds.

Hey! Joined a few days ago, been playing the hell mode RB3 beta and I am loving the more challenging gameplay! To make it quick, I cant find the changes to all the additions. Really just damage and SP amounts, compared to original LoD. Is there any info anywhere on this?

i figured, lol. its all good. im in feltz by now anyway. it's just that it seems like additions that give more SP seem to be better than not. just due to the unique character abilities requiring dragoon usage so i was mostly just trying to see which ones have the best SP gain. TY!

I felt like I'd be cheating by doing that, so I opted out not to. Feels like the extra Dart level will help a bit too. Will prob just use it as a mechanic to even out the exp in case you win boss with dead party members.
That being said, I'm curious about one thing - I keep seeing different numbers everytime I do an addition. Is there just some RNG range where they can hit? The unmodded game had consistent numbers and personally I find it frustrating if a mob runs away with 1 HP remaining cuz rng said screw you 
Also some settings in DraMod seems to automatically turn themselves on - or rather at least Enrage. It seems to happen whenever the game is loaded. Not sure whether this is intentional for testing or if it's an oversight, so just reporting that.
enrage increases enemy def which reduces your damage as battle goes on
Was +1 level, max current additions, 19/32 items, x2 poison guards, knight shield.
Yeah I grinded a bit and got hin on second attempt
+1 level and 2 levels on addition do make crazy difference
Lavitz went from like doing 10 dmg to 30

Not sure if its intended. Ultimate boss commander soldiers are susceptible to instant kill status. Didn't even think about it. Headed over there after lloyd and haschel naturally has brass knuckle equipped.
And the commander himself can be poisoned, also an accident on my part. juicy 6400 ticks of damage.
i allow certain bosses to now have status effects
those mobs already didn't have the status resistance
fruegel 2 i implemented one turn/hit status effects
are you supposed to get rewards from the EXP screen? commander died to poison so maybe i didnt get kill credit?
my r3 also says 0 ultimate bosses defeated
you should get the kill credit just by going to battle results screen
yeah i've done it three times, once without poison kill and im not getting anything for the fight or completion on the r3 menu

if you got no rewards it detected you completing the boss
im clicking "ultimate boss"
but i tried with "next ultimate boss" and both options load me into ultimate commander
to clarify, i didnt complete the fight after using "next ultimate boss"

if you go in normal menu and change your ultimate boss to 2 and click start ultimate boss from dramenu
does it change?
after "beating" the first one?

Reading through the ReadMe files I noticed a bunch of bosses says not in beta but has some of their names, hp, rewards listed
Are these extra boss fights the only thing not included from the 3.0 beta? Example is the current version of the beta completed up to end of the story and just missing final tweaks of additional side bosses?
the extra ultimate bosses will be available in the phase 2 of the beta
so far there is only 8 out of the (so far) planned 42
these bosses have script changes so it takes longer for me to do.

Hello everyone, first boss to actually give me issues is Lenus 1 in Hell mode.
. 90% of the time she’s casting spells that nearly wipe my team and occasionally attacks 3-4 times in a row. Ive tried Dart Shana and Kongol as well as Dart Shana and Albert (a little more access this time). Is there some trick I’m missing to through this endless stream of AOE spells?
You should transform only if you need the power to finish her
That will make this much more manageable
Idk if transforming and exiting the dragoon form on the same turn works or not tho
Pretty sure she enrages the moment you transform
So if you transform even once, she'll be like that
I think the strat is to take her down to like yellow without Dragoon
Until then, she will pretty much only spam physical attacks which dont do much dmg
After yellow she will start using magic, so its good idea to rush finish her then
I think most optimal will be Dart to maximize the fire dmg boost, but I havent gotten there yet, so Im not sure how will the actual fight play out.

There isn’t an indicator for enrage outside of the icon indicator based on health so I couldn’t figure that out.
Also, if you use Dart special, you should equip his fire sword to maximize the dmg

Is there an item in the game like the elude cloak early on but for magic? Gives 20% dodge chance to physically, if you had a magic version shana innately has 5% so she could get up to 25% and rng roll it for survives?

im playing through story on 3.0 beta, anyone know why miranda is missing from my party? she isn't in my replace screen and i think has been gone since the divine dragon attacks the crystal palace and she goes to the queen, but never rejoined. she just never came back, i've beaten lloyd now and shes still gone?
shes also still in the dialouge scenes but just not the actual party

Alright I got frisky and tried again. I put those 20% magic evade items on everyone and survived—barely.
However something curious was happening. Sometimes my healing items would miss and healing breezes would only heal like 100. Are breezes 50% or current HP instead of max? And does magic evade make healing items miss?
Breeze is half hp but entire team
As for magic evasion affecting them im not sure that would require testing

i've used evasion items fine in my playthrough the cause is unknown
after i wake up let's see how far i get or what i feel like doing and i will release something tomorrow.

Just want to point out a quirk in dramod that’s a little vexing. Shana gets the awesome elemental arrow feature, love using it. But you have to grind to get them, and it really seems you intended very minimal grinding in the mod. Just a little inconvenient 😅

i may have fixed the healing thing but i am leaving a bunch of debug statements for it
i may have fixed some dragoon spells counting as elemental bomb by putting the item magic attack type check (still hasn't happened to me)
i fixed the halo of balance doubling up on 30% max hp/mp
i fixed the dragoon physical attack bug
i fixed rose triggering siphon gain when using items
i fixed an issue with meru's ice shield
i fixed the "repeatitem" event so that it just reads from the table every time so weak shield is no longer repeatable
Dart's additions were rebalanced.
Lavitz & Albert's additions were rebalanced.
Rose's addition were rebalanced.
Meru addition were rebalanced.
Everyone has lowered addition unlock levels.
Meru's boost ability is removed since she has ice shield now.
All dragoon's elemental infusion physical attack spells have been moved to level 6 except Lavitz/Albert.
Shana's elemental arrows deal more damage without using her Ultimate weapon.

he will match kongol in magic damage in the next update and be worse for physical while both of them provide different defensive utilities. the main problem is kongol gets stone axe so late while lavitz/albert gets twister glaive so early.

it seems to only happen when i have meru equipped with the spirit bottle accessory and she is the first one to act on turn order
that... makes sense because the render number method didn't initalize a real number.

i am thinking of following japan demo where the master addition is the second best dmg/sp.
It would be an interesting thought to make the additions something to be used not because of damage but because of sp / statuses / equipment effects on per addy hit / restore mp...etc.
Japan Demo additions make a lot of sense though for Hellmode.
I guess it really is hell mode considering only 666 files need replacing LOL

I remember you mentioning dragoon additions were over calculated and doing more damage then intended? Hit about the same for around 300 just now on the gargoyal so not seeing a difference atm

Would anyone know of a reason for sabre not dropping from ultimate boss #1? I didnt get anything else either. Just nothing. I did just switch to the v1.3 beta
So some other testing, red eyed dragon costing 80MP deals 200 dmg as first opening move at 1020% scaling, Final burst costing 30MP dealt 132 in same scenario, addition at yellow health not even on perfect deals 165 dmg, can you elaborate regarding the scaling against crystal golem having an addition at half hp on the opponent deal nearly as much as the opening fight dealing 200 with an 80 MP spell?
Just trying to get an idea of the scaling when the menu says over 1,000% scaling
Edit: Wiki shows it does have higher magic defense but i wouldn't expect 40 points to make THAT much of a difference for 80MP vs an addition not even being perfect WITH teh enrage system affecting it
what does your dramenu say? try next ultimate boss instead. there also is a bug with poison not counting towards clearing the boss

yeah i did ultimate boss instead of next ultimate boss which is what im assuming the issue was. Also when doung that boss i used: power up, power down, and speed up. and now they are gone from my inventory. I can restore the save so its not an issue though.
did you set your inventory limit higher than it should have been?
nope was set at 32. and i had used some healing items too so i was below 20 items in my inventory after killing it.
did you trigger the too many items screen? hmm let me try

Think is cpu related as when lavitz joins and you encounter a battle the fps drops to 10 but when fighting alone with just dart everything works perfectly

Another question : I saw in the read me text that you can use the dra mod menu to add everyone at level 1 to the party when you take control of dart but when i start i only got the option to swap in/off all dragoon stones, so the question is : we cant begin a new run with everyone at level 1 ?

Also a less subtle note i noticed, Rose was NOT able to use angel robes when in vanilla playthrough, yet on this mod she can, originally was Meru and Shana only from my testing without any mods and just running severed chains
Fan Suggestion : instead of farming elemental arrow why do not let Shana/Miranda have unlimited arrows as a unique mecanics who can do use huge physical damage ( at shana/miranda scale so low but higher than base damage ) if you use on a elemental weakness ^^
Only issue there is would have to have different scaling, if it dealt 2x with the current modifier beyond lv 10 can potentially get out of control cause as a base after lv 10 iirc she does 1.6x dmg, so when you account for a 2x modifier from elemental weakness... numbers can get funny

When you return in Black Castle for bonus weapons, you can enter by the main door but for exit you have to exit by the resistance entrance ^^ At the beginning of CD4 someone was on my way ^^ after the moon i can freely exit by the resistance party entrance ^^

Just example like 1-2 maybe even 3 different saves for each disc for different playthrough points... could make it potentially easier to narrow in on issues for example but not limited to Lavitz and Albert, or Shana and Miranda?
Another fan suggestion : The Bonus Mace for Meru make her a huge mage with auto magic regen ( even in dragoon ) and 2x mp, but dealing 0 with Physical strikes during seven turns is hard ( the only advantage i saw to that is to use Cool Boogie ) , perhaps it will be better to made her do magical damage on her physical strike ( with maybe the drawback to made all her addition deal 100% )

And does that calculate BEFORE OR AFTER the half dmg is applied?

Heya @iron bone , found a retail bug in the equipment stats csv, angel robe causes weapon status effects to be increased by 40% when equipped together
Plus I’m thinking permanent status effects on weapons are a bit strong, maybe they should tuned down to 10%? Like Fear and poison

Can you elaborate slightly? Example Haschel i have the stun chance weapon on, no angel robe, yet he can stun pretty darn often. As for the permanent status I went and tested a few times of stunning stuff then just guarding for a few turns, effects break free and go away

I boosted all the status chances of those weapons. I don't think the status chance on angle robe will also boost the status chance on the weapons but I would have to take a look.

I did feel like my arrows were always inflicting status on shana. Chalked it up to plague boots and good luck but it makes sense
The reason it happens is that Angel robe erroneously had status effect chance set to 40% as well as the Angel robe revive chance, for some reason, the coding has other equipment that can boost status aliment affliction for some reason

I did manage to get severed chains running but now the new issue is when Lavitz joins the party battling slows down but when dart is the only one it runs perfectly
if it worked normally before on hard/hell mode presets before you changed something then you must have changed the wrong thing.

dramod replaces everything when battles loads changing the numbers shouldn't affect that

I then remembered there was a hell mode/hard mode, so figured I'd download that as well haha. Anyways, thank you all for the work that has been put into these. The update graphics are phenomenal. I do have a question on the dragmod. It seems Dragoon is available right at the beginning. Is that intentional?
Collecting SP from beginning etc. As well. Normal? Settings to change this so it's like the main game or am I going to want this on this soon haha

One thing I have noticed is the enrage and elemental bomb keep turning on, when I cycle them off. Really makes the fight difficult with only dart, so far, as if under half health they can kill him in a single shot after enraged. I'm thinking this won't be as big of an issue once 2-3 heroes, but as a single, man it sure makes it so u have to stay above 75% health incase they use magic item.
Hell Mode will have some options always turned on.

Its while im in the party selection menu, i remove everyone else from the party so its just shana, go to close the menu, and it crashes. try to boot from the crash save, crashes again.

that's odd. if you set graphics resolution to 480p does it do the same thing? if anything it should only lag from the extra events which is the single target monster event.

uh for dramod i am building a large texture split by multiple PNG files so i am using the builder.
the turn order display is one texture with 8(16?) pngs attached to it.

Long story short I completely rewrote the inventory handling to support item stacks and durability (for mods, not changing the base game)

i can only assume when the game crashes in the middle of the boss fight the story flags are changed
best to load a save before the crash
