@pale tinsel
I keep reading about how Ferrari were actually quite fast in 2022
And something about a TD-39 screwed them over and out of performance
What is it?
I assume the T in TGR stands for Toyota
I assume Moneygram will still be a sponsor on the car
they say, in some cultures, that the year of your animal is your unluckiest & most unstable year
@pale tinsel year of the horse.

Good to have you back Bottas and Perez
Must say, does feel quite weird seeing at the list and not seeing kick's bright green logo
With the new 2026 regulations coming into effect this season, there are endless possibilities to what is looking set to be an incredible season.

Can I just say, I quite like the new F1 cars' design
It feels like a combination of the ground effect cars, more aero and being smaller
And it all ends up looking so much like the 2004 period of cars
It's better than the cars we had the past few years that's for sure
With the angled front wing, the canards on the side, a very tight body design as a whole
And very sleek
Indeed, it feels like the best part of everything. It feels like everything we would have wanted
I really like the 2004-2008 period of designs
But 2004 and 2005 specifcially
It feels like the best balance of design, colors, and variety
Though my absolute favorite was the early 2000 stuff from 1999 and 2000
We're at the final round hehe
You know what GT7 should add now that we have so many Iconic F1 tracks?
Intergalos, man imagine
mini do i have news for you
This F1 price 7 time more expensive than F1500A-T (Lotus 98T Renault) but drive fairly quick for this good handling but just need to practice if you hit throttle to hard you sent into wall, good sound even shifting make dream come true!
This F1 driving by Aryton Senna along his teammate Alain Prost 1988 price is Cr8,000,000!
#McLaren...
I'm gonna hit there last in the 1993 F1 series
Since I always preferred that as the finale race anyway
You could make an entire championship now
Yeah it'd be accurate with the 1993 eera of cars too
I think Abu Dabi only became the final race since.. 2014 I think
Or was it 2010?
vettel defnitely won abu dhabi 2010
Ah I remember now lol
The famous 2010 finish at Intergalos there
Intergalos is an ununual circuit ngl
So few turns, and yet so insanely technical and hard on the car
I am not very fast there on F1 2020
the layout looks weird but its one of the tracks with the best flow on the calendar
I think it's because it's one of the few circuits that's anti clockwise
definitely one of the most fun tracks
Yeah for sure, it flows very nicely, mainly because there's no extremely slow speed corner
No chicanes, nothing that'd kill your brakes and flow
But if you wanna be fast there, you need to maximuze the racing line
A bit difficult on a controller
Let's see.. I believe GT7 right now has alot of F1 circuits
I'll go off based on the F1 2020 bunch since I don't know the modern ones too well
The Nurburgring GP Circuit is in the game, good for recreating races of the 80s, 90s, and 00s
Brands Hatch is good for 70s and 80s since that and Silverstone had a two track deal for the British Grand Prix back then
There was also those two really short periods in which the Japanese Grand Prix took place at Fuji Speedway
Oh yeah there was
Which is still FIA Grade 1 to this day
There are alot of old F1 circuits which got used very few times
Detroit street circuit, Ceasar's palace, Bugatti circuit at Le mans
Brands Hatch
They do race super formula there
Donington
Ngl, modern F1 at Brands hatch would be a sight
That's a tiny circuit for these cars lol
They would 1000% be sub 1 minute laps
Oooh, really? Man now I wonder
Sochi of course, former F1 circuits I mean
Sepang
I saw an F1 mod where somebody used a modern Ferrari on 50s Monza
Nurburgring
Fuck Sochi
Avus lol
Sepang was kind of like Intergalos, it had a nice flow to it
See I hope Sepang comes to GT7
Honestly, if the circuit had better safety potential, F1 would definitely take place there
Seems too late into its life for a whole new circuit
Not just for Formula 1 but for that short period of time when Super GT and Super Formula raced there
What I don't understand is why F1 isn't at the Nurburgring GP circuit
Like.. hello?
German GP?
Anyone?
money 💰
True
the last time they raced there Mercedes funded the GP themselves
OH NO MBS I UNDERSTAND
WE NEED 5 RACES IN MIDDLE EAST AND 3 IN US BUT NONE IN GERMANY, THAT MAKES SENSE
instead of the track
Wasn;t it during 2020 due to quaratine?
wait nvm i was thinking of hockenheim
2019...i wanna say
when they did their special white retro livery
and had an absolute shocker of a race
Never understood why Hockenheim stopped being used
It's been with F1 for such a long time
same reason as nurburgring
Yeah..
same reason we nearly lost silverstone
same reason why spa is going to be run every 2 years from 2028 (i think)
yeah, the costs were rising and the revenue from the race was getting less and less
I wouldn't mind street circuits if they at least took place in different countries
Baku is represented by a street circuit
Spain is gonna be represented by a street circuit
But.. why 2 street circuits in US?
Iirc, to cover all the timezones of the US
Seems silly
Vegas for west
Texas for central
Miami for east
That's quite a surprise honestly
Silverstone is like.. a stepping stone for every motorsport ever
Nearly every series takes part there
And yet it was at the risk of going away?
And yet Monaco is still profitable?
As Alonso would say "I cannot believe it"
Monaco gets free hosting if i remember right
not sure if that agreement has changed or not
but every other circuit pays to host a race
I'd argue that Silverstone is as significant to F1 as a sport as Monaco
So it is ridiculous they get treated so differently
and all these new tracks are more or less government backed so they have infinite money
whereas silverstone is run by the BRDC who don't have anywhere near the same funding as the new tracks
although Vegas is hosted by F1 themselves
Makes me wish the circuits would be government backed too
Mexico was for a time i think
Makes sense, Mexico isn't the most well funded country so a circuit being government backed makes sense
India used to be until tax reasons made it impossible to race there, which is a shame cause i quite like the Buddh circuit
was a fun track to drive on F1 2013
Tax reasons?
Didn't think that'd affect them
the region the track is in got a new government, and they classed F1 as entertainment rather than sport and entertainment gets taxed differently
judging by the fact they left, I'm guessing taxed a lot more
Nearly had a New York grand prix too in the early 2010s
Seriously? Damn man, I had no idea
Port Imperial Street Circuit in New Jersey
That would have been nice
Can I just say
US has much better circuits for F1 than these street circuits
absolutely not
Laguna Seca GP? Road America GP? Sebring GP?
Just waiting for Rainbow Road i mean the Qiddiya circuit to be done for Saudi Arabia
Oh, yeah not good. I expected something different
Laguna Seca is too short
road america would be fun
Sebring used to host GP's i think
Road America would be the American version of Monza
really? That's cool
And A-1 Ring isn't?
1959
A very differernt era ten
fair point. i think its down to facilities too
Sebring is a legendary circuit
Which is amaizng, cause nobody think it's a particularly good one
FIA Grade 2, need to be Grade 1 to host F1 races
Hmm, yeah I suppose that's true. The whole grade 1 ssystem is the biggest factor
would be a laugh to see those low slung F1 cars try and navigate the corkscrew
I wonder, would Jeddah be removed from the calender if this circuit is added?
Folks do think Jeddah is decent
Yeah, Qiddiya is gonna be the replacement for Jeddah. Jeddah was only ever temporary
In fairness, if LMH cars do it, so could F1 cars
Really? So Qiddiya was always planned
will give it to circuits like Las Vegas and Abu Dabi and to-be Qiddiya
They know how to make an event worth being watched
If you're 5 years old
you know what's a shame? russia being dicks cause the Russian Grand Prix was gonna move from Sochi to Igora Drive and Igora Drive actually looked like a half decent circuit
Isn't there already a Moscow circuit?
Thought that was also grade 1
actually, has F1 been to Russia besides Sochi?
Interesting... kind of looks like Silverstone where it gets split down the middle
But more high speed
eprix i think? for FE
nah, just Sochi
Very odd
unless you count 1913 and 1914 where there was a Russian Grand Prix
I mean sure Russia isn't known for racing much
But no circuits there before Sochi? Weird
I guess it counts if you count all GPs and not F1 itself
Hey FC, what countries would you like to see added to F1 calender? From ones which weren't there before either
So no Sepang or Hockenheim
Doesn't have to be countries alone either, any circuit you'd like to see
Good question, never really thought about that
To be fair, I think F1 already covers most main spots
I think South Africa would be a good place to make a GP at
Which have never hosted a race country wise?
Or Algeria too
Kyalami, South African grand prix has already been done. ruled out according to your rules xD
2 different periods
makes the circuit more legendary
1967-1985 then again in 1992 and 1993
I do wanna be partially biased and say Iran would be a good one
I would have said Sweden but they've hosted one too
Would be surprised if anyone even remembers it
Polish Grand Prix perhaps?
In honor of Kubica
just looking through grade 1 circuits rn
Thailand
Chang International Circuit
Here's another F1 onboard lap, this time going around the Buriram/Chang circuit in Thailand with Alexander Albon in his F1 2020 Red Bull challenger.
This is the only FIA Grade 1 circuit in Thailand, and I believe that it would host a fantastic race here. The layout of the track is very fun to drive with its high speed turns, and provides many ov...
here's a left field choice
Kuwait and Kuwait Motor Town
Here's an F1 onboard lap at Kuwait Motor Town. I did a lap on this circuit a few years ago but the track mod has been improved immensely, and I wanted to provide a better representation of Kuwait's high-speed circuit. It is 5.609 km long and classified as FIA Grade 1. That means that this circuit could easily host a Formula 1 race.
This Formula...
only problem with this i can see is there's only really 1 overtaking opportunity into the last turn
or into turn 3 on the long straight
but just as for a track for the drivers to drive, it looks fun
https://allalongtheracetrack.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/diapositiva1-9.jpg?w=1280
This is a circuit that was planned to be created as far back as 2011
Would be a neat addition to F1, having circuits where they do time attacks and not racing
Sort of like a sprint weekend
This is an F1 onboard lap driving at the Autodrom Most at Most, Czech Republic. This Formula 1 hotlap is driven in Assetto Corsa with Kimi Raikkonen in the RSS Formula Hybrid 2020 using the F1 2019 Alfa Romeo winter testing livery.

Grade 2 track
funnily enough, Circuit de la Sarthe is grade 2
length i think
the track itself is too long for f1, i think the maximum is 7km. spa is 7.004km
but they were given an exception
stuff like minimum track width requirements too
Yeah makes sense
Will say however
Would be quite funny seeing F1 cars reach speeds of above 400 on the straight
I read that apparently F1 can easily reach 400 if their gearbox is tuned for it
Yeah that's fair
Maximum of like 5 laps
In fairness I think 5 laps of Circuit de la Sarthe would be equvilent of that of an average F1 race length
The 1957 Pescara Grand Prix was a Formula One motor race, held on 18 August 1957, at the Pescara Circuit near Pescara in Italy. The race was the 7th round of the 1957 World Championship of Drivers. The 25.579 km (15.894 mi) circuit is the longest to ever hold a world championship race in Formula One. The race was the first and only Formula One W...
a track longer than the nordschleife
Good old street circuits
lets put it this way
Enzo Ferrari sent his cars to the 1957 German Grand Prix
he didn't send them to the 1957 Pescara Grand Prix
i just want fuji to return without sacrificing suzuka for it
They'd probably have to call it the Oyama Grand Prix or something
wasnt a problem with italy or spain
unless Fuji bids higher to be called the Japanese Grand Prix in which case then Suzuka Grand Prix it is
they can get around that
That is just golden honestly
yeah just name it after the region since the country can only have one country grand prix
The heck
a ferrari fan page asked the AI to remove the driver in first place (max verstappen) cause they dont like him
I had to translate
the AI responded with..
oh my god..
elons racist to Monégasque's
I ask for one thing and one thing only from 2026
oh my lord
@ExpertSiide @ScuderiaNewsBR Pois é, removi o pior e sobrou o pódio vazio pro Leclerc. Quem manda ser Ferrari? kkkkk
open the tweet thread
and translate that one
I'm gonna have a falling out with Elon

Mastercard McLaren F1 Team and Zak Brown
Please do a special livery identical to this
On this
i hope McLaren perform like 1997 Mastercard Lola next season too
Pffft
No love for McLaren at all huh?
Hard to frankly when you consider Zak Brown's messages
"Is this the world champion hotline"
I honestly would have been fine if someone nuked the track there and then
well the most likeable guy in their team is getting bent over and fucked
so
hard to like em
Pfffft
The worst part is
it's not even a bad line
it's just the fact that it's him saying it
Someone already so despicable
nah its pretty corny
corny yes but not that bad
but the delivery definitely made it worse
no no it is a bad line
and phat brown saying it made it worse, no emotion or anything
its like he was asking to go to dinner or something
And that's the most emotion he can put into it?
Remember like one season ago where max destroyed the radio by peaking his scream?
Unreal man
doesnt take much to break that redbull radio
it always sounds especially shit for some reason
Yeah exactly
I am no Lando Norris fan
But even he deserved a better congrats than that
For all the fun we make of McLaren, they have done something legendary
McLaren's wins and championships had been cursed almost as badly as Ferrari's
And Lando and Oscar broke that in both 2024 and 2025
I am no McLaren fan, I prefer silver McLaren
But the grid severely needs some color
Aston Martin? Hello? Where's my Jordan homage livery
Well good thing that the FIA has mandated that for 2026 55% of the cars surface area has to be painted or stickered, and can't be bare carbon fibre
But with 2026, it'll be an even bigger improvement
god that 2024 alpine was so ass
Ironically I did like the 2024 Alpine
it does look cool with the black
But the problem is that it's just exposed carbon and not the color black
youtube recommended cooked today
can you guys guess what am i going to post
its schumacher related
their pink launch livery was soo good
Haha, Formula 1 recognizes the time for peak
Peak o'clock
Yeah I rememebr there was a full pink livery before this
Full on Force India-ing that shit
Not sure why they didn't use it
But now we know they wanted to save weight
In fairness, the weight save did give them a double podium
forc- oh alpine
Worth it I suppose
that and luck
true
5 pit stop win?
Quite lucky
better
At the time the movie was shooting Michael Schumacher, who plays Schumix, was a driver for Scuderia Ferrari Formula 1 team and ultimately winner of the most F1 titles of all time.
Jean Todt, who in the movie plays the team's boss, was the GM of Scuderia Ferrari, the make's racing division, subsequently CEO of Ferrari S.p.A. while remaining Spec...
The pre-session testing livery for the Mercedes PU Alpine also looked rather similar to this
Who knows
Maybe Alpine will do a RP20 and shock us all
current watch. pain
Hahaha
This was always way too funny
Fun fact, in the Polish dub of this, Michael apparently says "At least Kubica isn't on track today"
Like Michael would ever be scared of Kubica
Although.. Kubica was a WDC worthy driver in fairness
some say the 2021 Alpine livery is the most beautiful F1 livery ever made
And.. honestly, I agree
Even if not the most, it's definitely top 5
It had such a perfect balance of everything yeah
perfect blue
perfect red, perfeect white stripes blending into logo
I understand sponsors are important and this car has exactly no sponsor
But man
look how fat it is
Hot damn, that is a CHONKY airbox
You could fit half of phat brown in there
I don't know man
I like the pink stripe and it is striking
But it's hard to look back on Aston and not expect their green with some yellow instead of pink
Question time now, which Honda tribute livery was better?
and why is the the 2025 red bull rb21
although the rb16b one does look really nice too
especially when paired with the hard tires cause the white stripe looks so nice
I mean Imma be real
They look identical to me
And since I prefer how the ground effect cars look
The 2025 one
Yeah it's perfect. Man we should ahve custom color markings
Man would it be cool to have custom ones per team
would be but practically not possible
the colours obviously mark which tyre it is, can't have two teams running red tires but one has them as soft tires and the other has them as hards
Yeah I know what you mean
They're used for indication now above al else
Despite the downsize, man they're still huge
Some pretty neat fanart on Donboruu
Kimi's career is a rather poetic one
Began in Sauber, ended in Sauber
You all know Gabrielle Tarquini?
He was a big time racer in many fields
Formula 1, old GT, Touring cars
He famously rolled over an Alfa Romeo 156 in BTCC
And was Maserati's chief test driver for a long time
However, recently I learned this about him
Now he's the sporting director of Genesis Magma Racing
Who will be fielding the Genesis LMH car in the next season
Ahead of Formula E's 150th race in Mexico on the 10th January, we look back at some of the scintillating moments that have unfolded in Mexico city across the years Formula E have raced in Mexico!

Mexico is ALWAYS worth watching
Also related, Lucas Di Grassi reckons formula e might end up as fast as F1 by Gen5
Mexico's GP confuses me
Some people speak about the circuit like it is something very good
Others speak like it is the second coming of Sochi
I don't understand this imbalance of opinion
It makes for a weird F1 venue
But the Formula E wacky Oval + layout is wonderful and is always brilliant and this will likely be the last season before they redesign it again.
Interesting, so they are different for differnt car standards
Hmm.. current F1 cars or older ones?
It's a bit of a lazy track design to make an oval and have it make such an out of place sharp in field like that
Nope, F1 isn't good enough for the iconic Peraltada
And yet, it's a great race every single time
I mean I don't know what qualifies for a good race in Formula E
Given nobody watches it
But so long as it is decent I suppose
Lmao
Anyway, he's chatting about current stuff.
Formula E definitely needs a game of its own
Hmm.. F1 cars already are quite fast
Making the Formula E cars faster would kind of defeat the point of Formula 1 then
A lot of the way they modify existing circuits is unique, never driven by any other cars
I do wonder when the FIA will put their foot down
So their circuits are mostly unique to them?
What, make F1 even faster?
I am not sure if the drivers would be able to keep up at that point
there are enough crashes as it is
The street circuits mostly are, and they put wacky walls places when they use permanent circuits
So there's a unique FE layout at Mexico, or Misano, that's probably never being seen in another series
Aren't artificial walls and chicanes bad though?
In F1, it can be. With slippery cars, low downforce and no heritage of 155mph drifting on gentle airfield circuits it works
Hmm
I mean it breaks the flow regardless, doesn't it?
Regardless of what you're driving
A circuit has to feel good before it's even good for racing
It's a bit simpler
This flows really well, with the Gen3 cars. Wide, well placed pinch points at turn 1, 3 and 14, it's a high speed FE course.
Theyre 400bhp near zero downforce on basically road tires, it's a very different car to design a good track for than F1
Hmm..
So you're essentially designing circuits for a big RC car than a race car
No slick tires, no aero, no downfroce
Exactly. Big braking zones are essential, to keep the pace high, so they can recoup energy too, which other series is thinking about
That's a good point
While energy recovery is a thing with F1 circuits
It's never been a major factor leading to circuits being changed
With Formula E, it doens't matter whethe rif the flow comes to a very slow halt, you need those big brake zones for the energy recovery
Hence they place those walls for both the challenge and for the benefit of the cars
And big braking zones gives drivers big variety of options in how to slow down, meaning more chances to pass
More you explain, mmore it makes sense
And the more I understand that Formula E is named "Formula" only in name
It has nothing to do with any other formula series or racing series and driving style seen before
You can't just put Max Verstappen in one and expect him to dominate like he would in a F1 or a GT3 car
And that's not even mentioning those attack mode, the FE version of DRS but timed
I'd love to see him have a go, he's aggressive, clearly adaptable and massively fast in everything
its not that formula E cannot get to F1 speeds
FE teams simply lack the budget to produce such machinery
not horsepower wise but rather the aero of FE is much much simpler
And it's not like achieving the speed is a real challenge
it's making that speed actually sustainable for the drivers
the cornering speed is the rear marvel of a formula car
It's like giving a F1 car twice the HP but half the downforce
formula E cars are closer to cornering speed to f2 than f1
FE has nothing like that
Probably even slower
Since they have even less aero
FE Gen3 is slower round corners than F3 and it's not close
tires are different so i cant say what theyd be on slicks, but definitely not f1 level
You know which drivers would ironically love to drive in Formula E?
Lewis Hamilton and Esteban Ocon
Why? Both love RC car racing
Formula E is about to get slicks and downforce for next season. Definitely tune in for whatever they're up to in December
i think esteban's real love is and will always be karting
thatr man is gonna open an academy the moment he retires
The reason I get into most sports is because of the teams and their styles
I wouldn't care about F1 if the cars didn't look so striking
And I ama nerd for team names and identities
Oh my god Wikipedia why is that . Svg
I am a F1 nerd now because I know Red Bull is hellhole, Ferrari is hopeless, and Alpine is French
i was gonna ask you about it XD
It's the 2015 formula e Mexico layout, to show the evolution. Which is mostly removing chicanes
Would be quite interesting
He was never the most successful F1 driver, but I think he will go down as one of the best that never was
Think Jean Alessis and Ruben Barrichelos
But we can all look back at this one race wonder... And call it a masterpiece
One race. One.
Every single corner has stories
Guess FE has grown old enough to make its own historyt
been around for nearly 10 years
Wait no
And that iconic race was 2023 Cape Town (a great watch)
So jumping back a bit, formula e teams don't need the Motorsport budget to design an F1 fast kinda car, because it's a spec chassis. Spark designs and validates the designs, which is where the F1 budget goes.
The teams just bring freaky motor armature designs and suspension
Nissan is obviously Nissan works team
Porsche is obviously Porsche works team
Jaguar I think is JLR's works team
Mahindra is a team I remember you saying has been with FE since the start
DS Penske is... Penske's works team? Not sure why DS is there when Citroen is there too
Andretti I don't think has any relation to Andretti F1 or Cadillac
No idea who envision is, looks like Kick sauber
Citroen I know used to be Maserati MSC before being downgraded with a redundant brand
Cupra.. might be Cupra's works team?
Lola, not sure if it has anything to do with Lola, but I know ABT is the actual team
Mahindra is the Mahindra works team
Apparently mahindra is an actual car maker, the more you know
DS and Citroen are the Stellantis teams. I think Citroen is a factory team, while DS is run by Penske
Envision is a battery manufacturing and green energy tech engineering company. MAAADDDD respect for them being there.
Envision buys jaguar power at the moment
Andretti runs their team in house, but powered by Porsche. Jake Dennis is a MONSTER racer, and former champ
Wait, didn't MSC used to be its own team? So now it's been changed to Citroen's own team?
Cupra is run by Kiro, and buys year old Porsche kit.
I think so, huge change in team personnel and management. I think Monaco is out
Hmm.. that would make sense then
Citroen is also big on EVs, so they do want to promote
why so? Isn't this their entire shtick?
is it related to Andretti Indycar? I am a bit confused as to why it's called Andretti
And Lola is a works project. Run by ABT racing, Powered with an exclusive Yamaha powertrain, and funded by the people trying to reboot Lola as a more general chassis manufacturer. I believe that Lola is involved in suspension design.
So Lola is making an unexpected comeback into FE of all places
I kind of like that
It's big money, for a business that sells to governments and not the public.
Ooooh
The same Andretti
Hmm.. interesting
it's like Emeergancy servicesgoing into motorsport
So they're going out on a limb
And they've been doing it for years and even won a teams champ
Hmm.. so Andretti is trying to expand into nearly every open wheel racing class possible
Wow, I expected them to be backmarkers
Isn't Kiro the chinese team?
The beauty of a spec chassis series with a strict, and easy to reach, power limit
Literally who even knows anymore
Does this mean Cadillac really is just a glorified title sponsor and Andretti F1 team is the actual team?
Kind of like Sauber when they became Alfa Romeo
I know Cadillac will bring their own engine in 2028
But for now, they're Alfa-ing it
Yeah, Cadillac is Amdretti
I still wanted to see the amdretti built F1 car doing private testing this year awhile FIA didn't let them enter... I really think they could have done it
Gonna be honest, not letting them in was such a dick move
Like I understand they want to make sure Andretti are there to stay
FIA does not want another 90s to 2010s situation with teams dropping in and out
So they get them to have a big car maker behind them for money for both them and also for FIA
But like... Cadillac is probably gonna leave the sport in 2 seasons anyway
Andretti wanted to come to F1 even before this whole thing
Hell they nearly came in in 2025
For a sport that wants to appeal to Ameerican audience, they sure do a poor job of wanting to feature an American team
Andretti won't let their F1 facility go without a fight
Hyundai's social media teams want in f1
Indeed, I admire that about them. They're very serious about it
Not backing down
There's a car market with more money than the rest of the world in China... Why not pay Andretti to run the Xiaomi F1 Team
I remember that yeah, and honestly, it's not hard to see why
Hyundai/Genesis is getting into every field of motorsport for marketability
Rally was stage one
then they did touring cars
Now they wanna enter LMH
And eventally F1
I hope we see formula e. And that ludicrous Ioniq 5N cup car as a support series maybe
Formula E might be a good stepping stone for an Ioniq works team
I think it's easier to enteer a new team into FE too
It would surprise me waaaayyyyy less than an F1 entry
Xiaomi Andretti F1 Team, that'd be quite cool actually
It'd be ironic too, like Uralaki Haas
Russian sponsor on an Ameerican team
Now it'd be Chinese sponsor on an American team
And all designed and built in England anyway
Yeah it's a bit irrleevant where the team registers itself
When all facilities are in either England or Germany
Or Italy if you're feeling saucy
Do italians even claim VCARB anymore?
By all extension they're Italian
At this point, only Hyundai group or one of the Chinese giga groups could pull off a full new F1 team
If GM can't do it... America is not going to host an F1 team for a looong time
F1 has grown ridiculously expensive
Like a small country's GDP worth of expensive
So it really does require massive car makers to get in to even have a slight chance
If not government funding
Honestly makes me feel bad a bit
because it makes F1 rather stale
And truly a rich man's game
Frankly, I expect Cadillac to be a disaster of a team
Like what realistic hope do they even have
two washed drivers
A team with no F1 experience
Running on probably 2026's worst PU
I can't wait to find out
I frankly expect them to just become another Haas
Or another Sauber
There to fill out the grid
I would be very surpirsed if they can prove me wrong
You wanna know an ironic thing?
I once said how some sponsors end up becoming their own teams
Sauber, Arrows and Jaguar's Red Bull sponsor became its own team
Alfa Romeo's stake sponsor became its own team
Brawn's Virgin sponsor became its own team
I fully expect this trend to keep happening
Car makers come in, think they know what to do, they fail, and then the title sponsor picks up the remains instead
Team becomes a backmarker for a couple seaosns and then maybe finds contention pace
I wonder how much of it involves sponsor bigwigs enjoying the free tickets experience so much they want to make it permanent
Honestly, probably that's the main driving force behind it lol
It's a fun sport, it's quite new for most of these sponsors
some which I expect for future are Aracmo F1 team
And HP F1 team
HP already supplies basically all the grid's computers lol
Gotta find a new team building work trip for the corporate team
Hahaha
The best kind of team building excerise
Gotta say though
I really like seeing those brands and teams in FE
Gets my nerding going
so formula e is literally Re-Volt but the cars are upscaled to actual size
Indeed it would seem so
Similarly running on torque alone
No tires, no Aero, no real downforce
And so they're very fast and accelerate very quickly
But are allergic to cornering and slight adjustments
though I kinda do like that formula e takes place mostly on street circuits
Yeah street circuits make for good venues for these particular cars
Which need those large brake zones
The Crew 2 ahh track design
Its a bit weird and wouldn't be good with standard cars
But FE is different and I realize it now
F1 and FE are reaching street circuit percentage parity... Kind of
If you fudge the numbers with Monaco, and don't double count for the double headers 🤣
Man that'd be an event lol
Their real partners behind closed doors
#f1 #formula1 #f1memes #mclaren #ferrari
25867
Hold on
That's a bit gay
But I suppose not ill fittinh
Also nice music
Memories
I don't really understand
If Rich energy is fake, why are there actual products of there
Or did they actually pull out of Haas due to their lackluster performance and making fun of them
there arent actual products out there, they produced a lot of fake cans from what i remember but they never had the capital to actually produce the numbers it was assumed they had, nor did they ever intend on paying haas for the sponsorship
I've never ever seen a can of RE
Really? Then those cans are indeed either make shift by people who make fun of them, or are those fake cans you mentioned.
If they were indeed doing that, that would make more sense than a fall through due to some tweets
i miss him
Verstappen at the top? Nah that's delusional
He only got close in 2025 because of McLaren's fumbles
Realistically, Russel and the McLaren boys should be at the top 3
And Ferrari fans being delusional as per usual with their drivers
Quite funny how all open wheeler teams outside of F1 operate
In F1, all tesms are legally required for both drivers to drive the car with the same livery
Which is what held back BAR back in 1999 from having two different sponsor cars
However, outside of F1, all other open wheel classes seem to operate on the rule of basics
Essentially, make the team be separated
And if the driver is part of a driver academy, give them that F1 team's livery
if not, give them their major sponsor's livery
And if not, give them their team's own basic livery
It frankly feels like you cannot make it to F1 using F4, F3, F2 and FE steps if you don't have some sort of major sponsor
Sadly it doesn’t work like that in academy
The team livery cars are nothing more than a sponsor
The girls are tied down to these teams mentioned above, whose cars the f1 teams are paying to cover in their livery (they are mandated to by the FIA)
They are mandated to sponsor at least 1 car in Academy, and as you can see all teams are sponsoring exactly 1 car
Apart from redbull anyway, who has 3 and 2 teams
But I don’t know what the deal is with the rb ford car it might be more ford
Red Bull do a lot of sports sponsorship, it could be from another arm of that massive company.
thats true
Yeah that confused me alot too
So the teams have no identity ay all
Not sure what these sponsors are even tied to
Slightly bad timing given what's happened in venezeula
True, but they are 2000 miles away from Venezuela and on a different continent
Yeah thankfully
If US doesn't target Mexico any time soon, this one should pass by safely
I can't imagine Mexican GP will be on 2026 calender however when its time comes
It could cause issues, but Mexico isn't really particularly close to Venezuela...
They still ran the Saudi race when we could see the smoke from a rocket strike on an Aramco refinery in the background
Seriously?!
Oh my goodness that is bad
I more so mean when US inevitably swoops in to occupy Mexico as well
We race as the money dictates.
What a timeline to see the explosion happen, live with F1 onboards.
edit: It was a missile not a bomb. My fault
The installation hit was 12 miles from Jeddah
I can't believe they made no reaction to that
Yeah it was quite shocking
yeah this is really messed up
Like it's not bad enough that the event doesn't get cancelled
But then they don't even make a reaction to a very real threat
I don't think houthis would have even stopped themselves from attacking the F1 circuit if they wanted to
Track confirmation, formula e has removed another Chicane from last season
And they just posted last year's race on YouTube
Relive the Mexico City E-Prix from season 11 in full ahead on Formula E's 150 race this weekend! Oliver Rowland managed to secure his first win in Mexico last season with a thrilling drive, what does Mexico have in store for us this weekend?

Watch Formula E racing: http://www.fiaformulae.com/watch
Buy race tickets: http...
At least they did so i time this time
The race has just been available on the FE website the whole time too
Ten days after a race, the full broadcast gets posted on their site
Formula e is still in the desperate phase of trying to convince people to watch at all
That's quite true
There's a reason it's cheaper
But the sad truth is
It'll never achieve that level of relevance
Plenty of other series won't ever match F1 for scale, but you should watch them anyway
So long as they serve their purpose for upcoming drivers and do well to be a motorsport
No sport will ever match F1
But doesn't mean they have to either
I’m planning to follow WEC this year, plus whatever NLS race max does
If I’m feeling like a night owl I’ll be checking Indy a bit for Mick
I do want to follow more than F1 ngl..
I probably won't be able to watch it given as the site's connection is always weak for me
So maybe I'll try watching the highlights and learning the drivers and following them that way
That sounds good
I'll start now
Last year's race is up on YouTube. And the first race of the season is out on their site, and probably downloadable somewhere.
Probably best not to
Alright I've learned somethings
I think
Here are the drivers I remember
Lmao
Impressive work by Jake Dannis, a pole to first drive
While so many drivers DNF'ed, goddamn
think we could see a slight return to that style of toyota for haas?
That seems quite possible
Espiecally as a special livery
Brazil was utter chaos
Doubly impressive by Dennis because last season, in Brazil, Jaguar sent Mitch Evans from qualifying last to Victory
Yeah I don't think I've ever seen such a retirement rate since early 90s
Really? So this isn't even a constant thing
Andretti isn't a particularly fast team.either
Nope. Andretti were not so competitive last year, either.
But it was absolutely the Nissan show
Or it was the Oliver Rowland show. Nato didn't really excel in 2025
He seems like a bit of a no show
Nothing particularly great
Gotta say, FE's qualifying system is very unique
Quite exciting sounding
Last year's unstoppable champion, Oliver Rowland?
He was pretty dominant compared to his previous teammate Sacha Fenestraz, but he seems to be nowhere compared to Rowland.
Guess it shows how big of a factor skill is in this
And development.
Nick Cassidy won 4 of the last six races last season, after barely scoring points until round 5, and he STILL came second overall.
He was consistent enough for a period
FE offers an interesting dynamic of complexity
Seems like Cadillac has become the new Sauber
Perez, Bottas, Zhou
May as well bring Kimi Raikkonen out of retirement
Sauber became Audi
But Cadilllac embodies their spirit now
We truly cannot escape from Sauber lol
Here's a question
I was looking at the older Indycars and racing, and I noticed just how similar they were to F1 cars of that period, up to 80s and 90s and such
Was Indycar truly the equal of F1 back then? Was Indycar a spec series back then too? Cause the cars all do look different somewhat
Did FIA intentionally change Indycar to a spec series to not have it rival F1? Because from what I understand they did use to have some beef with drivers from F1 going to Indycar and vice versa
Not to mention when the Indy 500 was part of the F1 calender itself
Question
Does Cupra Kiro always get 2nd hand Porsche PUs? Doesn't that put them at an inherent disadvantage to ever challenge for a title?
doubt it since the FIA doesn't run indycar 😉
Nah, indycar runs indycar lol
You're fine
the cupra one, i can't answer though. I don't watch FE
i do have a 3 part series on the indycar and champcar split
if you're interested
unless the videos have been taken down
oh for fucks sake they have
it was a good video too
oh wait
In the 1990s, CART was the only thing that could come close to Formula One. High powered cars, ex F1 drivers still capable of going quick, sponsors, commercial power, everything.
But then it went tilt, as one man decided he was going to take what he thought was the most important bit, and run away.
Let's see how this one move set American raci...
In the previous episode we looked at the politics that caused Tony George, the owner of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway to form his own breakway series. Now, the two series in CART and the Indy Racing League were fighting against each other for supremacy, and as CART wasn't at the Indy 500 and the IRL had it but was lacking viewers, they both ne...
Texas. Lausitz. Greg Moore. Fontana.
The words that are usually uttered whenever 'how did CART go bankrupt?' is asked. When CART looked like it had the commercial and star power edge, a litany of errors, poor timing and bad luck allowed the IRL to finally get the foothold it needed, and the exodus of the likes of Penske and Ganassi to the IRL s...
There's a good watch if you have an hour
Oooooh
I didn't know about this situation
Tjis is quite interesting, this might answer some questions as well
Thanks alot FC, I'll make sure to watch these
This season and last. They've only existed for two years so they're in uncharted territory
Bro which one of my posts did you react to with that emoji??
I can't find it
Lmao who remembers
Ahh, so they're very new
Interesting
So tell me, is this the case with ABT too? Were they also using outdated kit in teir initial seasons?
At 6 Hours of Fuji 2024, Mick Schumacher and Norman Nato battle it out for third place.

Interesting so Nato was in WEC too
It's interesting how if you're driving outside of F1, you are far more free to go to many other racing series
Oh Mick
I hope this works out for him
I pray, because he was a perfect fit in WEC
Both Verstappen and GP’s contracts are up to 2027
Let’s see
Do they both stay, do they go their separate ways, do they go together at a different team?
So ABT were running the factory Audi tram back in the day, left, came back with Cupra, left again, then returned when Kiro took the Chinese (I believe) entry from 333
Abt came back, after leaving Cupra, to do the "running a racing team" bit for Lola.
And Cupra now sponsors that ex-chinese entry
Wouldn't mind the latter
Cause Verstappen has earned enough respect at the paddock to go to another team and help them develop as well
Wow, this pair of teams have a confusing relationship
Cupra is really just a sponsor, and hasn't done anything more than have a VAG group name on the grid
Yeah I can imagine, given that's the only brand representation of them, aside from the works Porsche team
I know a couple of the drivers from the FE grid from their relations to F1
I think I'll be a Citroen fan, given they used to be Maserati, and they have Vergne on board, which I think is the same Vergne from Toro Rosso
Fascinatingly, Andretti also is powered by Porsche but doesn't have a car manufacturer sponsor
Most teams don't I imagine
Andretti is a big enough name to support its own weight in these spec series at least
It would also seem that with Formula E, title sponors are scarcely a thing
You have DS for Penske, Cupra for Kiro, and Lola for ABT
Andretti Lamborghini? Who knows...
Idk I'm just thinking of other names VW group could throw at the sport
But I'll be real, Audi made the most sense
Not sure if VAG would throw more names at FE
Tehy're already trying to distance themselves from Electric vehicles due to the massive losses brought on from the ID. series of cars that they had to endure
Wildly, the biggest issue with those was they were ugly, and that stupid touch screen temperature control
The 7 looks alright
Which is quite hilarious, that so much loss came from the easiest things to fix on those cars
They just had no direction, as did no car maker during that period when they made EVs
EVs at first became a trend with nobody understanding how to actually make a good one
Nowadays, we actually see good examples of EVs, which is a testament
This was quite interesting by the way. I didn't think there could be such a massive split in the middle for no apparent reason, but it sure worked out in an odd way
I suppose it hurt CART and meant it couldn't really keep upw ith F1's popuilarity
But these sort of ego based moves ain't too uncommon in the big league managements
Valtteri Bottas and Sergio Pérez are the drivers for the F1 circuit’s newest addition - Team Cadillac. But today, "Checottas" will have two choices: Tell the truth, or suffer the wrath of the Last Dab. Whoever eats the most wings, loses!
From ranking their former teammates to the last time they urinated in their cars, these two will either n...
I fully expect at least one special livery to homage the Toyota F1 designs in 2026
You know when would be the best time? Suzuka GP
I gotta say I wasn't ever the biggest fan of the previous LMH, but this actually looks really good
i quite liked the 21-22 toyota, but its one of my favorites to drive in GT7 so maybe im biased
it defined this generation of what i can describe as tall hood prototypes by winning twice in a row
The Toyota LMH car looked a bit too similar to the previos LMP1 cars
What with the tallheadlights
it's not a bad looking car, just not as interesting as the rest
Not when sleeker looking designs like the Cadillac and Ferrari are around
But this new one? THis is everything I wanted
Toyota seems to be coming after Ferrari directly with that design, given how much it looks like the 499P
i agree but i also like the previous LMP1 cars a lot
so i didnt find fault in the design language the GR010 used
Fair enough, I never hated the previous LMP1s either
But they did become a little too similar between brands
What with Porsche, Audi and Toyota primarily, all looking quite similar
It shows the primary difference in the idealogy of LMH and LMP1
LMH to LMP1 is like the 2026 regulations to the 2025 regulations of F1
Slower, less refined a bit, but also cheaper, more versatile and also still imperfect with room for movement
And also a more equal playing field
Where the LMP1 designs had been perfected to such a degree that there was very little in terms of design changes between cars, as there was very little between every 2025 F1 car
yes, cheaper helps a ton with small teams and with interesting manufacturers to join WEC
There will be more versatility and originality between every LMH and 2026 F1 car
but also.. id like them to be faster, just as fast as LMP1 10 years ago, cant be that expensive after all these years right?
Who knows, it's not like the current cars are that much slower
They're faster in the overall pace as well
Thanks to more refined systems
Indeed, it'd be unthinkable for many of the teams who joined LMH to join LMP1
I think it's nice to have a soft reboot every now and again
Keeps the motorsport scene fresh
thats quite true
thats exactly why WRC is at its worst currently
not many teams, expensive, no changes to the chassis used and barely any mandated changed to even the existing chassis year to year
Yeah it is very weird hoenstly
Rally is one of those scenes which I expect to keep itself fresh more than most racing series
Generally because of how much easier it is to develop for it
And more standard car makers can provide works support
Whcih has made it stale if it weren't for the Hyundais keeping it somewhat fresh
imagine how good it would be if WRC was cost effective enough for Lancia to rejoin in Rally1 instead of Rally2
Exactly! Lancia is THE Rally brand
And they are already lucky they have some budget to be able to even enter Rally 2
But if a new rule set came along to attract both new makers, new teams, more works support
We'd finally see the glory of Lancia's return to the top of the field
WRC definitely deserves a bit of a major overhaul as well
and also, why is WRC of the past decade forcing hatchback designs and limiting creativity so fucking hard
we used to have sedans, coupes or hatchbacks, all allowed in the same category
it's always been odd to me as well how despite the much wider range of possible cars to use for Rally, they still are limited to car makers which make some sort of c-segment hatchback
Which guess what, there aren't that many left anymore, hence why we get a Puma rally car than a Focus rally car
and you couldnt say there was a superior design when the lancia delta could coexist with the impreza
We definitely need the regulations to be more open, because like you said, theere's no inherent design superiority
you know what we need?
We need the current STCC regulations for WRC
They have both D-segment sedans and C-segment hatchbacks allowed there
Same with TCR
yes, in general more variety is good for both manufacturers and viewers
Indeed
it really would be
FIA needs to spread its love to its racing series more evenly
Man if the actual car will sound like that, holy crap
Sounds almost inditinsguiable from a V8
Also nice little cameo by Hulk, though not by Gabriel
Inteeresting seeing a car with both GR and Red Bull badging
Can't say I know who this fella is
but it's good to see more drivers transfering from class to class
2 time WRC champion, youngest ever WRC champion, Toyota works driver (with full backing on his single seater journey now), known because he uses #69
in his worlds, he wants to try formula racing because he has achieved whatever he ever wanted to achieve in wrc already
he is 26 years old
Pfft, the number Max wanted
Aslo damn, then yeah this is a big face in WRC and motorsport
Hopefully he'll be able to make it to F1 too
it was a shock announcement that he wanted to move on from WRC
by the way, theyve already put him in a formula car before

for how cool they look i wonder why none of the f1 drivers have a deal with arai
because F1 can't say he founded a business that sells sex toys
i read somewhere that the FIA is mandating camo liveries for barcelona testing
i used to not like the fins at all when they were around
now i kinda miss em
it was nice when they would alternate between no fin and fin depending on the track
or williams martini stripe on the fin
i loved the shark fins, thought they were so cool
martini please come back... williams dont suck anymore...

The 2025, 24 and 23 champions are the top 3... For 3 teams
And Pascale W hates Jake Dennis
Yeehaw it's race day!!!
FE Quali hour
Everyones simulations in practice were close, it might all come down to holding the cars together through the Peraltada. some of them were exiting that corner around 140mph, which feels insane with ultra low downforce cars
Dan tickum might cause an upset...
Wehrlein, Evans, Buemi and Rowland all in his quali group, only 4 spots in the Duels...
Literally as I type that he throws away his second fast lap at turn 1
Wehrlein OUT

I’m personally tucked in bed at 3am and waiting to see how Kalle does in Formula Regional Oceania
I watched the first race and I’m still getting to grasp with the rules, but to me his performance so far looks quite reserved and not too remarkable
That is of course a given, but then again Toyota wants him in Super Formula by next year
I saw buemi cocked it didn’t he
Went off and looked to me that he also unnecessarily hit his front wing on the tire wall although quite softly
that is quite unlucky, on the race start affected by proper qualifying to get taken out
its very important he cracks the top 5 as as soon as possible
The wing survived, Buemi rejoined very last. He still ended up on target for a podium, he was on FIRE all weekend. Got a puncture and ended up last 😢
I wonder what possessed him to go that far in turn 1

It's just so crazy that he almost recovered it all
i saw Marti with a million penalties got points
