Being an F1 driver sure gets these drivers some attractive partners xd
It's pretty cool how the Renault R.S.17 in Forza Motrosport 7 is Hulkenberg's car
It handles so much better than everything else as well
hulk in the renault was so memorable
"I'm hanging here like a cow"
Eyyy, I am all for that
What's a track you would like to try out?
Let's do a track they actually race F1 cars in
We can do Spa, we can do Yas Marina
Spa is in both! Yesss
I took a look at the videos of his racing, and it was indeed nice
That period Renault is a rather bygone era, and Hulk himself went into retirement after that I believe, only to return for Haas
Hell yeah, that should be fun to test
I assume the Mercedes was way faster irl
So if I am slower, I'll have all the racing driver excuses at my reach xd
That was a Merc dominance year
So if you're within 5 seconds a lap you can call it a win 😉
Oh?
Since we'll be doing hot laps
We can compare to how the real cars and drivers did as well
Mercedes driven by Lewis in 2017 around spa had qualifer of 1:44.184
Renault driven by Hulk in 2017 around Spa had qualifier of 1:45.280
So when we do hot laps to see how fast we can go
we'll compare both our own times
and also compare how close we got to the real car's time
Don't make me compare myself to Hamilton quali times 🤣🤣🤣
XD
Yeah mine would probably come out worse too xd
Yeah I am all for the idea honestly
We can do other stuff too if you'd like
But this should be our focus
How lucky that both games have the 2017 cars
Yeah that'd probably be accurate to real life xd
Not to mention, if I am slower, I can also blame the different handling between the games xd
Would you like to do it now?
I can also do F1 2018
How are you doing thus far?
Ah, I have done a lap thus far
Well, 6 laps
I have a best lap, but I guess I'll see if I can improve
Just saying, I ain't very close to Hulk's qualifier
Damn can't believe you're not as good as a professional with intimate training and a hand in developing the real car
Disappointed
I think I've peaked at 1:46.996
Hehehe
Yeah I think I've peaked too as far as I can try
How fast did you get with the Renault?
My best after around 12 laps...
Was a 1:47.199
Hehe, yeah surprisingly
I'm amazed how fast these guys can take these cars
At some point it becomes less about how fast the car can go
And more about how quickly you can react
I was really struggling downhill from Les Combs to Pouhon
T0 be fair, my time was dirty
But clean I'd probably be only .1 second slower
That bit is WILD
Yeah same
It should be flat out for most of it
But I can't find the brake points to slow down enough
It's the right hairpin and getting across for the nameless Left hander. That bit was so edgy
Gran Turismo worships high downforce so once you get a car into a corner you're pretty happy
The main issue I had was trying to manage the wheelspin in 2nd
I can't feather enough without being slow
The Renault in forza handles unbelievably well too
It's just hard to find the reaction time
Eitherwa, I honestly expected to be slower
And given the cars we drove and different games and different skill levels
I'd say this is decently accurate display of the performance
The Merc is dreamy at low speed in GT Sport but they updated it after adding it to define the engine from low speed
I'm now trying the 2018 Renault in the F1 game ..
Also what sort of speed were you reaching after Eau Rouge? I am guessing the DRS is a thing in GT
I was topping out at 340kmh
Good luck with that
Are you proud of my performance xd
I could probably get a flat 1:47 but that'd take alot of work
Nima Hulkenberg
VS
Tweetman Hamilton xd
Really? I was going faster then
That's a surprise
I'll put it down to racing driver excuses to save my skin xd
Yeah but it might depend on which aero setup they simulated for each car
True true
That may explain why In 2nd gear I wheelspin more
I'm happy with the performance thus far
I'll give ir a couple of more tries
Go for it! Im playing in 2018 still
Good game but my goodness this track model is FLAT
Good luck
2018 spec cars might be different
Pfftt
That's just funny for a F1 game
I can't take the torque delivery in this game lemme try my team Toro rosss
I managed to improve
1:47.031
I bet I can get your time if I just go a bit cleaner
Can't beat a 1:47.3 in F1 2018 in the toro rosso. Very different throttle mapping on this car, with a more stable back end at the cost of a tiny bit of understeer, where the Renault is a slippy slide the whole time
Next game.
Ferrari 2010, Alonso 1:47.4
Tweetnan on GT5 1:47.4
Interesting, we somehow went so fast In future games
Also, I didn't know GT5 also had a F1 car
It has 2 real Ferrari's, 2007 and 2010
Maybe that's why I had some sliding problems as well
Really? Damn
That's really cool
And the GT original Formula GT from 2004 AND the Red Bull 2011
Faster cars.
2017 set a bunch of all time lap records
Reallym
Goddamn
2017 cars undefeated
Must have been good regulations that year
Oh I'm thinking the 2017 wide tires compared to 2010
Oh lol
My bad
Those narrow body V8s are such a handful. Lots and lots of oversteer and opposite lock all over the place. I LOVE driving them
The 2007 Ferrari went faster for me, but it's lighter, and has MUCH less torque so it's so easy to carry lots of throttle during a corner and be flat super early. At least in GT5
It was certainly much more of an event to drive them then hehe
1:44.5 in the Formula Gran Turismo
936 bhp is a bit insane for a car with 2004 guesstimates of grip and downforce but it is FAST
I'm putting together something even wilder 😉
Really? Goddamn
It's the X 2010
Adrian Newey even claimed it could be built
I honestly doubt that
But hey, stranger things have happened
The main challenge of this car isn't even the car itself
But rather the fact that no driver would survive driving it
Yeah haha
But you could just tune the fan downforce to something manageable.
McMurtry are out there doing ths
I think the car comes in various forms
Like a junior version
And a world series version
Those probably can be driven by humans
There's a 2011 fan and 2014 fan car revision that the red bull team were involved in.
The fanless cars are all GT original imaginings
Yeah rhats what I mean
Id love to see the little junior car they made in action
I forgot there were two seasons of NASCAR in this game omg
Hehe
Glad to hear
I had some fun on FM7.too
Took a 1940s Ferrari F1 car around Prague
I don't think so
Let me find it
It felt beautiful to drive
I actually then took a Ferrari 430 scuderia to the same.track
And managed to set a slightly slower lap
Kind of goes to show how good F1 cars are in Forza
That you can't even match them with over 50 years of technological advancement in a road car
I just love these older F1 cars
It's a great era, the 50s race cars
Hehehe
Same to be honest
I love them on.the.early prototype racers too
The likes of Can-Am and Group 4/5
Always so cool seeing where Aero parts used to look lile
This was one of the things that started f1s journey to tighter and tighter bodywork regs
The snapping of the pillars that held up these wings that got bigger and bigger
If the Xbox One ever decides to be capable of playing a game... I have one last car to do laps at Spa in
Man look at that
Right THIRTY MINUTES of updates and Microsoft logins later I can run a video game off a disc.
Hell yeah
I should try that out actually
I've got Formula E cars too
Some of the.cars and teams aren't recognisable however
There was a lot of churn in those early seasons
Ooh indycar is here too! Might give that a look some day
Yeah I think it'd be worth a try
May explain why some teams are unrecognisable
Alot of.back and forth
Before it all settled
It's all still a little unsettled
If you ever want they do still host the full race replays of every race ever on their website
I probably can't watcj
Too many
I'd just need to know the major teams which race right.npw and that's mostly enough
There's Mihandri, there's massrari, there's Jaguar, there's Porsche, there's DS, there's that Chinese one
And that's kind of it for me really
I won't claim expertise
My head is too full of crap to know the teams in spec series
Well if you have to watch just one pick between
2021 Monaco
2019 Mexico
2025 Sao Paulo
Or anything from Portland
I don't think Kiro is even Chinese anymore. It was owned by a Chinese sports team thing as NIO, 333 and Team China, but Kiro is owned by some Americans
Thank you for narrowing it down for me
Interesting. Guess it's interesting how it ended up turning out
Why wasn't their 2025 livery just this the whole time!? 😍😍😍
So this guy or Lord Mahaveer?
First aid at work is a week
Eyyy, that looks good
But I will say
THe livery hasn't changed that much like Tweetman said xd
He's certainly getting there
it'll be either for Redbull or his own team
Vettel F1 Team
And it's not like anyone else would be more suited than him
He'd be ideal for either Red Bull when they finally decide to permanently retire Marko or maybe he may end up being advisor to Mick, I mean he is endorsing him
I must say, I still don't understand something
isn't the point of Sports and F1 to not get involved into on-going political tensions?
Cause from what I read, that was the primary reason for booting both the Russian GP, Russian Sponsor for HAAS and Nikita Mazepin from F1
Not that I am saying Nikita deserved the seat in the first place given his pace and driving standards being bottom tier
But I still don't really understand why F1 got involved with the Ukranian conflict at all
Or hell, why Olympics got involved with it
Kind of just feels like virtue signalling for the sake of public opinion rather than any actual standard or law
Doping
That's a different topic
That's understandable
The incident was later ruled due to the Ukrainian conflict
Whcih again, why should F1 be getting involved in that in the first place
They were due to move from Sochi to Igora Drive in 2023 and then Putin invaded Ukraine
Lots of sports didn't want the stain of all those "Hitler at the Olympics" images
The FIA merely asked russian drivers to publicly fall the russian government appalling for starting a war and they could race
They also told them to run under a white flag
Which is frankly something very insulting
You may have never been shamed for your nationality, but it really hurts the pride of people from this region of earth when games and media barely recognize us
And then real life starts to do it as well
Regardless, Hitler at Olympics was an irrelevant subject as well
Sports are sports, they are irrelevant to politics
And if you wanna be so in favor of politics and condemn any problematic country, it should go for nearly every country
Why wasn't US booted from Olympics when they occupied Iraq or Afghanistan
It's all just favoritism
Sports these days is ALL marketing. Look at all the bad street races F1 does because street tracks are better marketing.
This is a very valid point that I have argued time and again
But for Russia particularly, bring involved in an active land border war is pretty reasonable reason to avoif going. Weird that Saudi isnt given the same treatment. I remember the Jeddah free practice session during which you could see a Yemeni strike blowing up an oil refinery in real time
It is honestly such a disgusting squabble. I understand sports on such a level need to be profitable to be held at all, hence all of these very shady sponsors
I mean the whole ban on Tabaco sellers wasn't done until all the possible damage was done
But when you make the whole point of a sport "making money" as an excuse to stay afloat
UYou may as well kill the sport entirely
It was just another case of double standards
US was just as involved with those
And Saudi caused the 9/11 incident
There is no excuse for any sort of act like this if they want to boot a certain country from international sports for it
Laws and rules exist to apply to all
Not just some
wrong wrong wrong. Sochi was a terrible track, politics were the perfect excuse for it to go. War means less money from sponsors, also taking money from russians stains your brand in the eyes of the general public. So urakali got booted. Mazepin was a terrible person, terrible driver, and all out of money to give. So avoiding his terrible brand and getting another driver was also the optimal option
because the olympics since they were estabilished in ancient greece have been a symbol of peace (wars would stop everywhere and they would gather the best of the best of athletes in the olympics to compete in sports)
allowing flags of nations being active aggrevators of war is NOT the olympics and im very glad they do not allow them
Yet they allow US and Israel's flags?
Don't try to talk down to me like I was born yesterday Mario
I fully realize the faults of neither Sochi nor Mazepin were actaul reasons for FIA to cosnider getting rid of Russians entirely
Robert Kubica just does not die, does he?
It's really cool how many F1 drivers have migrated to Le Mans
jeddah and...jeddah?
A race. And then another race.
I don't even when I say this but if IndyCar doesn't want the Indy 500 to clash with the Canadian Grand Prix, then just have the 500 on the last Sunday of May, screw the whole Memorial Day weekend tradition bullshit and have it at the end of May, there's still 1 more week between the supposed date for the 500 and the end of May, and boot out Detroit to that extent as well, no one wants Detriot so you might as well boot it if you don't want Indy to clash with Montreal
Indy needs to break traditions if they want to adapt and survive
@granite tangle

even Kimi Antonelli didn't get an exception
so who did Horner have to suck off
He just wants to be more chaotic than Alpine, that's his THING
Such is life at Redbull.

Good on him
Ollie Bearman got a pleasant surprise on the F2 podium when he realised he was spraying Sprite rather than champagne.

I was kind of confused about Oliver Bearman about one thing
Cause he's often seen wearing the Ferrari clothes, and he even races in place of Sainz when he was ill
And given Haas holds decently close relations with Ferrari, being their engine supplier and even having their HQ in the same country
Is Haas like a junior team for Ferrari? Cause Oliver seems to be as much of a Ferrari driver as a Haas driver
Not officially
but they may as well be for the meantime
Literally because of those close ties, Ferrari can go to Haas and say "Look, we do all this for you. Can you put our driver in one of your cars"
Bit like what Mercedes did with Williams and George Russell
Is that how Oliver got his seat in Haas?
Kinda yeah. That and he's a damn good racer
He seems to be one of the better rookies of the season, so yeah probably
I mean it's not exactly the worst thing. Being Ferrari's friend and all
Their engines seem to be one of the best in the last seasons
And the driver transfers aren't always bad either
Probably just behind the Honda RBPT one
We don't mention the Renault one cause thats just ass all round
And given how comeptitive even the Sauber car has been this season, there are signs of improvement
Yeah they have fallen hard since their glory days
Sauber I would say are lower midfield competitors. Low scoring, but if they get lucky on a good day we can see another spain performance
And I think there were talks of them not using Renault engines for Alpine anymore from 2026 onwards, if they even turn up for 2026 that is
Yeah I can see them doing that. Good drivers, much more consistent pace in 2025 than 2024
Well they've already confirmed 2026 Mercedes for Alpine, but beyond that I do think Renaults plan was to sell to Hitech before the unpleasantness with Oliver Oakes brother
They are already up on Alpine and Aston with their points
Yeah it wouldn't surprise me, but I suppose we'll see how things unfold.
You did say meantime, and there are talks of Toyota increasing their involvement with Haas in the future, as they are already a technical partner as GR
I am assuming that's what you were implying?
Its a possibility
when toyota first joined with haas they said it wasn't a full on f1 comeback
but things can always change
Yeah possibly
I do see some people dreaming and speculating
some hold fond memories of Toyota's less than glorious years in F1
Think it was just cause the cars looked good
they never really had "star" drivers
like a Hamilton or a Michael Schumacher
or even a Kubica
I mean that's fair, it wouldn't be the first time it's happened
I mean BAR was pretty beloved due to their liveries but it was never a competitive team
They did have a Ralf Schumacher, but he was only above average
2004 they finished 2nd in the constructors so there is that
That's decently impressive, can't fault them for that
Especially coming in 2nd in a year of Ferrari's pure dominance
it doesn't help that ever since Urakali's title sponsorship of Haas came to an end, the teams colors opened up to be much more like Toyota's old colors, of white and red
Though to be real, white and red are in no way exclusive to Toyota
Practically every team has at least once run such a livery and color scheme
I'd argue they were more lucky strike racing colours, just the red and white
Chrome and black more so than the red
They were decently red too
or white and red if we go by the marlboro colours
But alas, it's not like I don't see why they go for such a color scheme
White and red is an easy favorite color combo
We need more yellow on the grid
Hard agree
2019/2020 Renaults were such good lookers. Especially the 2020
We really need more yellow
The black and yellow indeed stood out
even if the actual cars could have been better
This is why I hope for Cadillac to fix that
Given they run primarily yellow on their LMDh car, it seems like a possibility to connect the two teams
Oh yeah that looks like a Cadillac open wheeler
Hehe, would be nice to be honest. It would make for the colors we want indeed
The black and yellow are big reminders of Jordan
and the blue thrown in there, it feels like a reverse BAR with their 555 livery
the gainbridge only really works if andretti is involved and they barely are now
That does look good too
But it is definitely boring
You know what Redbull should do?
Change RB's colors to their Miami colors permanently
RB's car as it is does not stand out whatsoever
Pink
It's just white
I would be in favor of that honestly
Get some colors in for sure
Or hell, repaint the team to an older Redbull livery
Haas gets away with it because of the good bit of red they use
But RB really needs more than just white
remember the haas black and gold
I had never seen that before
THey did that? I didn't know
Who could forget
Yeah a 1 season wonder thanks to dodgy title sponsorship
It's basic, but it'd be better than RB's current livery
Heh, guess that's why nobody knows about it
yeah, shame the sponsor was a complete fraud
stole the logo from a bike company, and never actually paid haas for the sponsorship
Yeah I remember some of those stories
Haas suffered quite a bit because of it
It's a constant Haas problem, lack of funds
Bruh, it's not even different
Unbelievable
But yeah
as much as it is quite funny to say
I will miss Sauber's green as well
Audi's livery does not interest me
come on, does that ceo look like a responsible man to sponsor your team
bad santa over here
So I hope the actual livery ends up better looking
He doesn't even look like a ceo
Looks like some homeless dude
he may aswell be

There is this youtuber who simulated 10 seasons of F1 on F1 25 with Legends enabled to see what happened
And in the 8th season he tested, Williams replaced their lead driver with Ayrton Senna
The youtuber said "Oh no..."
And then in a comment he explained something even funnier
When came round to Imola
Senna came 18th, driving rather slowly
It's like he knew
He knew! He knew what would happen if he went fast xd
Funnier part was, his teammate was non other than Ocon
If there's one thing we can all agree on, it's that the LEGO race before the 2025 Miami Grand Prix was one of the most entertaining things that has ever happened. Join us as we go onboard with ALL 10 CARS from this one-of-a-kind event!

man, this was gold
Gasly turned into joker
Will the Madrid Industrial Estate circuit be better than whatever formula E is up to in Spain next year... Go!
It looked great in all the testing laps I saw
Weird how formula E is now at a lot of normal race tracks (with a single weird chicane) and F1 is desperately building more "street" circuits
The thing that kind of pisses folks off about Formula 1 and Formula E's situation
Is that the Formula E cars are considerably smaller, made to be able to compete around the shorter and tighter street tracks which they regularly race on
Don't forget lighter
Formula 1 on the other hand, even as far back as its inception, tried its best to avoid street tracks
Because the cars are both bigger, and way more unwieldy
This was the case even as far back as 1940s when an average Formula 1 car was as big as today's Mini
not to mention the crazy history of formula 1 racing in spain
Or rather, back then's Mini
Hot take I enjoyed the Valencia street circuit
Exactly, it means the Formula E cars are actually designed for street circuits
However, when Formula E cars are being pushed to actual tracks while Formula 1 cars are being pushed onto street tracks, it makes me wonder
"What monkeys are running the FIA"
Even the 2026 cars don't actually fix this, because by design they're harder to drive than the current reg cars, and they are still way bigger than Formula E cars even in their smalle rform
They raced here in the 50s
Pedralbes
All and all, it's not a concern to me particularly, we all know why they're doing it
Six corners is plenty, apparently
But I can imagine the drivers are just becoming super frustrated
These new tracks which don't make any logical sense
Don't let them see Imola and spa then xd
Or hell, don't mention to them that F1 used to take place at the Nordschelife as well
They raced in Montjuic in the 60s
Jarama, which is now being used in Formula E, has a decent history in Formula 1
man those look good
Jerez replaced Jarama and is still FIA Grade 1 certified which makes it even worse they chose to make another fucking street circuit instead
And, I'll add, Portimao is right there for an Iberian race.
You all know this one which has been on the calendar since 1991
Suffice to say, any actual reasoning is gone when you consider all they do is because of money
They get rid of Cataluniya, Spa and Imola and yet keep Monaco?
There is no logic to be found anywhere
The only logic is MONEY
If I wanted to watch street racing I'd stay up til 3 and wait for the clapped out Civics to start blasting through the neighborhood
At least I don't have to pay money to see that shit
It'd certainly bring more exciement
And like you said
You wouldn't be paying top dollar
THe price of these F1 event tickets are so insanely high, it makes me wonder how folks afford to even go there
Or how some of them pay these premium packages to go to the pits and see the cars and drivers close up
They say you need to be loaded to join F1
But I say you need to be loaded to even go and acually watch the sport
Formula E is getting ready to reveal the Gen4 car.
Thats quite cool
The rumours are 600kw of power, up from the 300kw (350 in attack mode) with permanent 4WD, a battery bump up from ~35ish kWh to 55ish, to try to bump race times closer to an an hour than the current 40ish mins.
Bridgestone replaces Hankook fir Gen4 and I've seen vague rumours that slick tires will come with them
That is quite a big upgrade
nearly double the power, more traction
It may make things a little crazy
That might be perhaps a little too much
And take into consideration
F1 cars make only 200 BHP over that
And these are Electric, so they accelerate quicker by default
I can imagine Fomrula E replacing Formula 1 entirely
Kind of like how F2 cars were faster than F1 cars for a period
FIA might have to put the brakes on
It's a 100% power bump with a 30% battery capacity bump, with a goal of longer races. They'll possibly be flat out a little less often during races than now, and that should keep the racing tight.
Next year, only Sao Paulo, Tokyo and London are left as proper street circuits... Maybe FE is leaving them behind
The amount of whinging from Indy fans about Montreal being on the same weekend as Indy just shows how behind their series is compared to everyone else no matter how times they deny that the series isn't stuck in bullshit traditions
It's about time some Indy 500 traditions were broken to bring the series right into the 2020s, starting off by holding the 500 on the last Sunday of May rather than it being on Memorial Day weekend
It really feels ike FE might replace F1 at this point
I dunno about replace... it hasn't become that yet and has been more fun to watch ever since they hit the full Monaco layout
The biggest difference is downforce. Formula E has always been an extremely low downforce series. That'd need to change to "replace" F1... But downforce, the drag it has to generate, DEMOLISHES energy efficiency so it'll be a wee while yet before we have good enough batteries to create high downforce formula e AND a step up in racing performance for the car.
Yjay
That is fair enough
it'll be a while, but as you said, it's decently on its way
I hope they keep formula e having a very different vibe to F1
And F1 really just needs a bigger battery next season but oh well
If they can only make one series better each time I'm happy the FIA picked my favourite
I would be happier if they go back to V10s, but it is what it is
V10, a reasonable sized battery, there's no technological limitations stopping the FIA from making this happen
The fact Indy is gatekeeping the 500 being on Memorial Day Weekend shows that they need to adapt to changing times, the 500 being on Memorial Day Weekend 2026 when May 2026 ends on a Sunday is inexcusable for IndyCar and NASCAR to that extent since that's the same weekend as the Coke 600, just have it on the last Sunday in May 2026 thereby not clashing with Montreal, if the fans and traditionalists hate it, screw them, they can go somewhere else, besides they'll always be below F1, F1 doesn't bow down to Indy, Indy bows down to F1, those are the rules
You seem real cut up about a Motorsport scheduling conflict you okay?
Yeah i keep seeing him do it
Hey guys
Since you know F1 history better than I do
I wanted to ask, how was prost as a team back in F1, I believe from season 1998 to 2001 they ran
I assume they weren't too great given their short stint
But I also hear their Peugeot power units proved unreliable
Because most Indy fans are proving of how stupid they are in holding on to outdated traditions
Looking them up now
They had no problem landing at least halfway decent drivers
They had Olivier Panis, Jarno Trulli, and Heinz-Harald Frentzen during their run in Formula 1
In 1997, when Prost used Honda engines, Olivier Panis managed to finish 9th in the Driver's Championship
This was after only starting races 1-7 and 15-17
I'm all for a date tradition. That lets people plan going to an event REALLY far in advance
That's not too bad honestly
Panis always impresses when I see his numbers
His name does always make me giggle a bit however hehe
Honestly looking back on say 1999 or 2002 grid, they certainly were very colorful
I think the 1999 season is my all time favorite
That and the 1990 season
plus 2025 xd
hehehe
Did we see the F1 calendar next year. TWO races in Spain
The heck xd
It's honestly kind of amazing reading what I read on Formula 1 and how events unfold
This sport is the pinnacle of motorsport, not because of its budget or status or the cars' speed and the drivers' skills
it's a combination of everything
Despite having existed for so many decades, there is still no sport quite like it
You have championships where
Good drivers couldn't get a WDC due to the car
Good drivers who could get a WDC despite the car
Good drivers who could get a WDC because of the car
Sub par drivers couldn't get a WDC due to the car
Sub par drivers could get a WDC despite the car
Sub par drivers could get a WDC because of the car
You can't deny that even the least skilled F1 driver is still from a pretty high grade
And you have so many instances of amazing drivers who could have won more but didn't
And sub par drivers who couldn't normally win but did win due to reasons
This honestly makes the fact that Lewis or Schumacher or Max could keep their streaks going for so long even more amazing
The fact that year after year, the teams still managed to stay on top by making a car that could get them that win
And the three I mentioned arne't even equal drivers in terms of skill
it's all a mixture of things
Driver skill and the car they drive
We had drivers like Mansell who could have won so many more WDCs if they didn't encounter so many instances of bad luck
And we had drivers like Hill, which no offense intended, really weren't seen as contenders for a WDC and only got it due to the circumstances
It's a very unpredictable sport from season to season, sometimes race to race
Aston Martin next season could either be the fastest thing mankind has ever laid eyes upon, or the slower than they are currently, despite Newey's inputs
I honestly am learning to appreciate the sport and drivers and teams more and more as time goes on
I am getting the "it" of F1
You even had a driver who won a WDC posthumously
Really? Who?
Jochen Rindt
Crashed in testing at Monza
Jacky Ickx, the next highest performing driver, couldn't score enough points to win the championship
That was 1970
I'm kind of amazed ngl
But I suppose that is simply how things work sometimes
That is quite incredble
Goes to show how dominant Jochen was that even after being incapacitated he was so far ahead
Incapacitated is one way of putting getting your throat sliced open by your seatbelts at the Parabolica at Monza
🚨 | Charles Leclerc is reportedly losing confidence in Ferrari's ability to win Championships.
The 27-year-old could explore his options in the market in 2026 if Ferrari are not contenders.
[@Corriere]
no way
I would be too tbh
FInally
Suffice to say, Ferrari fucked around and found out how much their drivers can take
That's impressuve
And while it is unrelated, I really wish they would change the company's logo to something a bit less basic looking than their latest revision
We've already had a spin, and it's yours truly...again
Who else is planning to ruin their sleep schedule today watch long Le Mans?
Seems like the Cadillac are doing well
I cannot ever watch it
So hopefully it'll end well
maybe Peugeot win? xd
A Peugeot win would be sensational I'd love it
Porsche already leading, hopefully they don't win because when Porsche or Penske always get cocky, it thankfully always goes wrong for them
damn what do you have against porsche
Porsche and Penske are the ultimate recipe for unfairness, and they're the ultimate cult because the Porsche cult is big and the Penske cult is also big so their combination is massive
🚨| Donald TRUMP, President of the United States, will be driving an F1 car at CotA next week.
😳
ℹ️ | Canal +
ngl, i wish McLaren did let it happen
They should remove the halo before letting him drive
Can ferrari be stopped
Bruh
The man won't even fit into them
Stop glazing the Crasher Martin!
And unfortunately the Crasher is in Q2
Honestly Law VS glazing the Crasher is actually cringe, like glazing Oscar is fine, glazing Gabi is fine but glazing the Crasher? He clearly thinks "there's no cult" and thinks he's "not just there because of the money"
No, Crashapinto
Oooh
Heh
Yeah to be honest Colepinto has proven rather disappointing
Bad race pace, bad consistency
And the fact that drives the grid's worst car doesn't help
You said Crasher Martin and I thought you meant Aston Martin
And his fans say he's an "upgrade" on Jack...
Yeah i was confused too
I honestly don't even know
Doohan had decent consistency, but his pace was poor too
But what Alpine did with him was just cruel
not 5 races in, the last of which ended in a crash that wasn't his ffault
and he got replaced
I honestly don't know what to expect for Canada
Also, is Alonso going to race alone again?
By Silverstone, it'll be Aron in the car, and he's actually decent
It would be nice to see another decent driver partake
Sadly i don't think it'll do the team any favors however
The car is just bad
And Alonso has no motivation to try with only 2 points after so many races
The best they can hope for now with Aron would be to get a decent constructor's standing if they can, but that seems unlikely as well
And Gasly isn't exactly better, he's too far up with the obsession of driving for a French team
I am not too worried about Gasly, he's not bothered about it so why should I be
He knew he was never gonna get a WDC
Maybe it's about time he woke up and realise what he's in, otherwise he'll be a worser Trulli
at this point jules bianchi could drive better than colapinto
It's just situations
no team is gonna accept him anyway
Maybe Redbull when Max leaves in 2026
A team would accept him... in IndyCar, probably JHR
Yeah of course but those aren't F1, so they won't be so relevant for him
Also Crashapinto will be out, he's only 10th, if he'd went fastest, I would've thrown my chair at the telly
Hah! He couldn't get into Q3!!!! ellLoser!!!
It's amazing honestly
Even with Yuki's grid penalty, he's not going to get points, he hasn't got his precious "maté" to help him
I still have no idea why Yuki was upped to the Redbull seat
It honestly feels like the Redbull car is slower than the RB car
It's just killed any chance at his future
They gave Yuki the Red Bull seat because of good results for AlphaTauri and Racing Bulls
But they should know by now that that's a terrible indicator of a good Red Bull driver
They think they're gonna find their next Sebastian Vettel or their next Daniel Ricciardo or their next Max Verstappen through their secondary team
But they haven't since Max Verstappen
Only reason Max is able to be fast is because of being who he is and because the car is tuned to his exact driving style
I think it's primarily down to the redbull design team
They just don't know how to design a good car
The Redbull car is extremely difficult to drive and very oversteery
it only works with aggressive drivers like Max and Seb
They dropped Adrian Newey and instantly fell off
I don't think their success was even due to him
Newey's car only works with certain drivers
At least they got a badass hypercar out of him before he left
Drivers which are dime a dozen
Drivers which would win in any other car
You know who Redbull needs?
Alonso
He's the only kind of driver that can make sense of the Redbull machine
McLaren didn't help Lando that final lap, also no Charles, you didn't get "dirty air" from Isack, you nearly put it in the wall because you went in too hot
The whole "Lando bottles it" Charade needs to die a massive death, like it's completely meaningless now, like people need to stop analysing Every. Single. Even. Slight. Mistake. he does, people need to get off his arse and stop hounding him
the alpine is far from worst, he is getting blasted by saubers too he is truly that bad
i mean its second to last but you just have to consider how fucking bad sauber is
what a great top 10 this is
people who think russell is a princess and he is not competitive need to consider this
Sad I'm gonna miss this race start Canada can get SPICY
in how many hours is it lemme check
They say he's a "princess" because of out of context radio messages, this guy is JB and DC mixed together taking on Verstappen, his no BS attitude is top sauce and I'm here for it
i dont like his media pandering but to say he is not competitive on track is absolute faff
i did root for him a lot during his journey before mercedes and to mercedes
he was less refined and less consistent but you could absolutely tell he would be great
Problem is, the Sauber has actually become faster this season
He definitely has gotten alot better over the years
He used to be a bit of a joke
Now he's a fast joke
Welcome to skibidi baku my dudes
Thank the fact that Audi are being more realistic and that Jonathan Wheatley is there, no wonder they're 3rd in terms of the pit stops, 2 places above Red Bull
It's crazy impressive how much they've improved already
This is why Gabi hype is more legit and better than Crashapinto "hype", Gabi is the more rounded driver and isn't under pressure despite how that Sauber has been up to now
Mmhm
Plus his overtake on kimi on Monaco
That was some impressive stuff
Some say Bortolleto has potential to be the next Aryton Senna
I digress, but I can see him become the next Nelson Piquett
Through sheer consistency and decent pace
Gabi should get more attention than he actually gets, the majority of people dismiss him because he's in a Sauber and that he has the number 5, like people are genuinely sentimental to that and think it "should've been retired"
pffft
Honestly, given what he's been given to work with
It's good how far he's come already
And the sauber car has already shown great signs of pace improvement
So I can see Gabi improving quite a bit from that
And he's given Nico a sense of energy again, Nico is the ideal teammate for him to learn of
yup
And they seem to get along quite well
Honestly, things are looking up for Sauber
Honestly I could have seen Hulk winning a few races or even a championship if he was in a good car
I wanted him to replace Lewis Hamilton at Mercedes Benz
Toto probably took a risk with Kimi, but we'll see how he'll think of it for 2026
he definitely has good skills
Maybe not top driver, but pair him with a good car, and he's definitely WDC worthy
new name for colapinto i seen, he is now colaspinto
Now I'm torn
I commend the creativity but I'm inclined to believe he doesn't deserve it
Colaspinto, Crashapinto, Colapintslo, there's too many names we can give him for being crap
getting rammed in the ass by a 9x8
Oooh
Bro did not just say that
Peugeot on top
XD
Peugeot supremacy
Unfortunately Isack has gotten a 3 place grid penalty, which double unfortunately means, Crashapinto is starting in the top 10
That's a shame
I mean like where was Isack meant to go if this was for "impeading" Leclerc, like Charles nearly choked it and put it in the wall well before he got near Isack
You just know the Argentinians will celebrating Crashapinto starting in the top 10 like he's won the championship, I'm glad not all Argentinians are buying this crap, I mean have you seen what Horacio Pagani (not that one, a different one) has been finding this annoying for ages
Just wait until he flops the start then he'd returned to his old habits and at the back of the grid where he belongs
Highly unlikely to impossible
Hey, we've seen surprises
But yeah very unlikely
I can't see a good start in that blue and pink tractor, not even Pierre can get a good start in that

THE FERRARIS ARE FIGHTINGGG
They're definitely set for a win
big man ferrari doesnt want the private ferrari to win (yellow), they want the factory team to win lemans
Well, it would be favorable, but I doubt they don't want a win for their car eitherway
It's coming down to the wire
the porsche has dropped back
The last standing Cadillac is actually 5th
Man WEC TV is awesome
Remember when Ferrari had a 1-2-3 looking good about 10 hours ago
It is a 1-2-3 now too XD
It's amazing how much faster the 499P is
it never left
Everyone else is just competiting for 2nd
even when the 51 span into the pit entry
porsche chose to pit at the same time
and went behind ferrari
so the 1-2-3 didnt change
just kubica's car is now 3rd instead of 1st
what
I've not been able to tune in today 🙃😮💨
No worries, I'm just checking on WEC TV
Kubica isn’t in that car
There’s 3 Ferraris
The one you mentioned I’m fairly sure is the privateer one (the yellow)
Kubica should be (last I checked) in the Ferrari that is currently third
That makes no sense, these are the only 3 Ferraris in the race
At least in my screen
Each car has 3 drivers…
Why isn't his name listed
Oooh... right
Cause he is not currently driving?
Kubica was driving at like
3am last night
I was watching
So he’s probably gonna rotate in for the last stint if they do pit or not drive any more
No I was just confused for a sec cause I mean I was sure you knew that
So I was trying to figure out why he wasn’t listed when I was watching him yesterday 🤣
Yeah I don't blame you. You'd be right to assume that I'd know this. I have no idea how I so completely forgot
Actually rather embarrassed
Eh
Jesus christ
What I feel is rather disappointing in lemans is the lack of coverage the classes except the hypercars get
I mean other than the occasional leaderboard pop up we only see GT3 cars as obstacles to be overtaken
It's difficult when there are so many cars
And sadly usually only the top classes in any multi class racing series get any real attention
If Ferrari can made a cracking Le Mans car, why can't they do the same in F1, especially with the 2026 regulations coming up
@Planet_F1 She has not raced in F1. She has done only 3 races at this track, all 3 in the second tier NASCAR series, with a best finish of 27th.
Nico is a F1 world champion.
Why does she still have a job at skysports
If Ferrari want the type of success in WEC in F1, they're going to prioritise next year especially if they want to give a car for Lewis to win the 8th title in, they need to stop chasing short term success with Charles and stop thinking about the constructors championship when next year's car is crucial
Verstappen most likely takes George out or takes himself out whilst George continues
People are calling Lia Block to receive a race ban in the F1 Academy race, they know if this was Max, they'd be encouraging him
Cost caps I imagine
Like George said "I have a few points to play with"
Even so, they're gonna have to put focus into 2026 at some point, essentially they need to start listening to Lewis more about long term ambitions rather than listen to Charles being ambitious but rubbish for trying to chase short term gains, they're not winning the constructors this year, as simple as that
They aren't winning it for sure, not with the pace the Mclarens have
but Ferrari hopefully could make it up in 2026
Like you said, they need to focus their efforts
it's mostly down to management
That time will need to come fast, and they also need to stop doing dumb team orders with swapping Lewis and Charles around for Charles to chase down someone, like it didn't work in Miami no matter what Leclerc fans will say, they don't understand that he failed to catch Kimi, it's making Lewis look stuck, they're working with a legend of the sport, they should be understanding his needs even with this philosophy of "no one is bigger than Ferrari", and they should replace his race engineer because he's clearly not up to it anymore, he'd hung out long enough with Seb and Carlos but he's not the right man for the job of working with Lewis because he's not concise with information, I don't care if the relationship develops over time, he can't do his job properly
They could have managed miami had they been quicker with their position swaps
it's definitely a problem with the team manager
Which is kind of ridiculous
you'd kind of think after so many years of failure, they'd realize this weakness and try and fix it
its father's day today
i think its time for max to gift himself a holiday
if yall know what i mean
lets go turn 1
terror
Crashapinto managed to nearly take put both Alex and Isack on the first lap, nothing changes with him
Crashapinto definitely forced Alex off
The haas car looks much better today
I wonder why this isn’t their full time livery
Alonso is flying holy
Should be a second points score for him today
Ew, Alpine have told Gasly to swap positions with Crashapinto
NORRIS CRASHED
That wasn't worth it by Oscar
i dont think oscar is at fault no
not saying lando should be put on prison for it
They're both at fault
but i think he misjudged it
Have you seen Twitter
eh
twitter marshalls have never had a good take
all im saying is that lando was a little too aggressive there, i think he shouldve expected that he wouldnt get the space
What have I said before, they constantly put him under the microscope for everything he does
he kinda painted himself as the target last year with some interviews but this year yeah he just has a massive hate club that makes his army of fangirls pale in comparison
This is why they need to get off his back, it's so pathetic by them, and everything they say gets old almost immediately
And a lot of them are either Verstappen or Oscar fans
Also people need to stop hounding him for saying "he's not up to it", neither is Leclerc
mclaren driver fanbases have more infighting and hate between them than norris ever got from verstappen fans i swear to god
ive seen straight up death threats and people calling that mclaren is "sabotaging" either of them when the other one wins
i dont think theyre fans of the team just band wagoners
Who do they think they are? The Crashapinto cult?
They want Lando to fail and they think he's a "joke"
its just sad cause this mclaren era i dont think that its here to last
if they dont get a wdc this year then that might have been 2 chances wasted by lack of team orders and focus
I think both Lando and Oscar should take responsibility for this even though Lando has said it's his fault
both of them need a good shout from their engineers, they can waste points for the WCC because thats secured but if they both crashed that would have massively flip the tides
i dont think the team is going to tell them off tho
Also there's still a long way to go between now and Abu Dhabi so people saying his championship are "over" are just being stupid, it's why dumb people shouldn't be allowed any form of social media because they have no brain
Yes Lando shouldn't have gone for a gap that wasn't quite there but Oscar isn't exactly innocent either
22 points is the gap now, not exactly "cHamPioNsHiP oVeR" right now
And they're doing it on Instagram as well, why do we allow morons access to social media especially when they be easily influenced to do outrageous things or say some really disgusting stuff, especially if it's from certain personalities in the media
id say what is worse for lando is that while max completely bombed his last race, now he is again just 21 points behind norris, rather than him being out of the championship its more of a verstappen was starting to fall way back after spain but isnt so far behind now
theres a few funny bits i even laughed when they were tearing max for spain, its the usual couch coaches are throwing slurs at drivers in comments sections that i find issue with
That lost win in Austria is coming, especially as there's no Sprint there this year, thank fuck for that
They believe they could "do better than Lando", delusion should classed as a mental illness
today he couldnt overtake kimi
i mean saying the championship is guaranteed for him is
absurd
🚨 BREAKING: Antonelli, Piastri, Ocon, Leclerc, Sainz, Gasly and Stroll have all been noted for a Safety Car Infringement
what
It is, Oscar might be more rounded but he needs to be a bit more better, I mean it wasn't guaranteed for Mark Webber his manager in 2010 especially when Red Bull were basically all over Seb despite him not leading the championship all season until Abu Dhabi
Please! No points for Crashapinto!
itll probably be another no further action fia note and ignore
i dont think they wanna even consider messing with so many infringements XD
Please confiscate the copium from the Crashapinto Cult
Actually, please divert all copium shipments away from Argentina
All infringements were for overtaking after the race was over
So I think it’ll be ignored
And they’ll get a fine at best if anything at all
I want to see the collective frowns from the cult when they discover that that'll be the case and it means their golden boy doesn't get points, the laughter will be ocean filling
I missed the entire race
However
Learning that the Mercedes boys got 2 of the first 3 is pretty impressive
Unexpected too
Also Kimi, first Italian podium finisher in more than 15 years...
Not many coming up either through the ranks either, yes there's the likes of Mini and Badoer but the likes of them aren't doing enough to impress, barely any Finns at all, this is why I believe the road to F1 for Finland is dying and the rally scene there has been revived with the likes of Kalle Rovanpera
kimi's son has started in gokarts and is doing amazing for his age, its a slump for sure but you can never know what talent will come up in 10-15 years
and that kid has social media presence because of his father, there's for sure other talented kids in go karts or transitioning into euro f4
How was the rzce
Which race
Long way yet
FUCK YEAH
It was quite unexpected
Who did the dick move
Ofc it is
Good News! Luca De Meo is leaving Renault as CEO! Looks like we could see the Alpine team being rebranded if Renault sells their stake in the team
Same
They lacked direction, not as much as Alpine but they were going nowhere fast, just like Crashapinto
I hope it holds better results for them
They had a good thing going, but it was hard to keep going
I mean earlier
The 2021 livery was a classic and then they ruined it with BWT pink, BWT should've gone to a different team after Aston Martin because blue and pink don't mix
Yeah but they threw that away because of Crashgate
I think it looked neat
It's not that bad
I still don't know the details of that
Briatore told Piquet JR to deliberately crash in Singapore 2008 to benefit Alonso and then Piquet JR exposed that after he was fired in the middle of 2009
Holy.shit that's horrible
That's why Massa is so salty, but he's 17 years too late to appeal the result
That livery is a sign of what could've been, and then everything went to the crapper after 2021
That's a bad decision regardless
It benefited nobody
Except Alonso because he started way down the order when he'd been quite competitive that weekend
you mean the mild seven days?
He meant that, probably
Exactly
Someone once said Toto wollf should be Team Principle of Ferrari
Honestly it would be scary having him.thete
Because even the hot blooded Italians wouldn't be able to hold him from his.scary tantrums
I wonder what will happen to Briatore now that De Meo is leaving Renault since he was a De Meo hiring
I feel like the whole staff is gonna get changed
He's been such a bad influence ever since he returned, hopefully he won't be there next year, most likely he'll be out before Spa, although Hungary is the last race before the Summer break, if Renault sell their stake then a rebrand is inevitable and a new majority owner
I see either Kia Hyundai, Geely, Stellantis or someone else entirely buying the stake that Renault have in the team that they end up selling
Ooooh
Stelllantis
Prost 2.0 or Maserari return anyone?
I mean Lotus and Caterham made returns
Why shouldn't Maserati
Most likely either, Peugeot, Alfa Romeo or maybe even an odd one like Dodge
Citroen F1 team
Geely would bring the lotus name back, for the brand marketing opportunities
My fave detail is Piquet was promised a seat the next year for that crash, then when he found out he wouldnt even get that he exposed it.
And briatore got a lifetime FIA event ban
Considering Lotus have stepped back a bit from an all EV future, it might not be a crazy suggestion
When Audi announced their F1 team and engine goals their only engine development full stop was going to be the F1 car
They're being more realistic now, and they've got Mecachrome to help with the engine, but only assembling parts for the engine, not assembling the engine itself, that's done by Audi in Neurburg
Yeah..
So take note
He's broken a few
But the only one that he truly terminated was the Saudi Arabia one
I swear to god, he should play the next Terminator movie
found @granite tangle's burner

Thank god my driver is just a terrorist and not a complete fucking moron 🙏😭
QRT: mercsogyny
I would love for anyone to explain to me what his plan is
pfft
I know it's a low blow and all
But it feels kind of meaningless for someone to call Indycar "dangerous" when their driving style in F1 was as aggressive as that
Rip
😔
Fucking unacceptable
max is in belgium (as per his jet tracking)
and this was seen at spa
i mean it still has vermuellen as the driver name, but maybe he's testing it?
Ironic timing
Formula 1 Team Principal & Netflix Drive To Survive icon Guenther Steiner as the first guest in our new flat! Ladies and Gentleman, WELCOME BACK TO PITSTOP… Oh wow what an episode we have for you today! The long time listeners know how much of a dream it has always been to have the one and only G Dog on Pitstop. And FINALLY he is on our sofa.....
What is the general view and opinion of you guys on Pierre Gasly?
Failure and too stubborn to leave Alpine
I heard he did decently in his time at Alpha Tuari and Toro Rosso
but fair if his Alpine performance has made it all look for null
I don't really understand why some cars in F1 are so much slower thna the rest
Renault as a F1 team have no problem with spending some money on car and engine development
But the Alpine team does nto seem to reflect it whatsoever
Hell, I'm not even convinced they're faster than Haas
Especially with Ocon's performance in 2025
Because he basically became the team leader and Red Bull didn't want to repromote him
This is why he's thriving there now he's out of that sesspit, he ultimately had the last laugh because Haas are competent and Alpine are more interested in Argentinian money to actually realise that the person who's bringing that money is shite
I think that bit of fault falls more so on Red Bull than Pierre himself
Even so, he practically failed, I mean what team other than Alpine would want him right now, non of the top teams including Red Bull even considered him
I mean if their financial situation is lacking, I can't blame them for getting pay drivers. I mean look at Williams before 2023, they were in a desperate spot as well
