avatar fanfic general ||it would be about people having to learn how to deal with spirits and bending and the connection of the spirit world with the material world without having the easy cheatcode answer of the avatar, with a lot more touches of shintoism, buddhism and animism. Maybe a little bit about climactic changes and other politic stuff but all focusing on not having an easy answer in the form of a messiah who will solve things for you and having to do things yourself as a people instead of waiting for a savior||

avatar fanfic general ||probably would make the protagonist an equivalent of a yuki-onna. Someone who causes damage around them without wanting to and part of the plot would be to learn to mitigate the damage she causes and become a positive force instead of just a demon, and again without the easy answer of the avatar just being able to solve problems for people||

Avatar General/Naru Fanfic ||Instead of no Avatar, I'd suggest de-specialing the Avatar. The OG Avatar was only special because they bonded a spirit first, and then closed off the Spirit World. From Korra Season 2, we know that Spirits other than the Avatar Spirit can achieve an Avatar-like bond, so why not have other spirits trying that out and discovering things differently useful than just bending all 4 elements.||

With my fanfic show idea, I had five seasons planned out, with details of who's who and what happens in almost every single episode, but I never came up with names for any of the characters. I couldn't trust myself with that. So there's a bunch of characters floating in my head who I can picture and understand as characters, but I never named them. 😆

Avatar ALL ||That's what I like about the Avatar shows and books; they show evolving opinions of what the Avatar means to the world. In Kuruk's time, an Avatar was considered unnecessary because nothing big was going on, as far as they knew. In Aang's time, the world was desperate for an Avatar to save it. In Korra's time, the world decided it didn't need an Avatar anymore and tried moving on.||

Atla || I might be misremembering the out-of-show material from back in the day (which I don't think exists online anymore, time machine maybe), but I think the "canon" (and I only use quotations because it's not in the show) lore of the Avatar, before they decided giant kite jesus vs giant kite satan was a good idea, was that the Avatar was the spirit of the world itself incarnate into a human body. I don't remember if there was any more text explaining what exactly that entailed, but I always took it to mean that it was essentially the world self-balancing itself, which always felt quite in line with the role of the avatar as portrayed in Atla

Of course that was never quite truly canon, and then the kites attacked ||

Because to me, Young Justice was never about this huge ensemble cast, its not Justice Leauge. And even then Justice Leauge still focused around a set group of people.

yj worked because the team (and my definition of the team is not the shows definition of the team) was charismatic, relatable and fresh. And (YJ all) ||the fact that s2 onwards throws that away entirely for random side pieces that NO ONE ASKED FOR is one of the largest fumbles in DC history. They had it right with the team and showcasing the team! Their story wasnt even remotely over but all of it was skipped anyway :/||

I think people overhype the solo film element of those films what is more important is a logical through point and end game. All the era 1 movies build into each other even if they are different genres

Jimmy is depressed that he cannot join in on a father and son picnic because he is an orphan. This changes when Superman arrives and tells Jimmy that he's legally adopted the cub reporter and the two participate in the festivities.
[...]
Superman reveals that he purposely was cruel to Jimmy because after adopting Jimmy one of his computers (Which can make predictions) warned him that Superman will destroy his own son. Jimmy suddenly realizes that the computer meant "Sun", not "Son", and points out that there is a star named after Superman. Realizing that the sun is collapsing, Superman speeds out into space and destroys it to insure that it's not a threat to space travelers. Afterwards, Superman learns that the judge will not overturn the decision to cancel Superman's adoption of Jimmy Olsen, and Superman apologizes to Jimmy. Jimmy takes it all on stride, glad that at least he is still Superman's pal.

Tbh, having a subtitle in the early marketing/announcements but taking it away before release for new MCs probably makes sense. If it was Supergirl: Subtitle, there'd be a non negligible number of people that'll tune out because they didn't see the last Supergirl movie (regardless of if it exists), while if it's just Supergirl, it's obvious it's a new thing
