Got interesting one,

Kubuntu KDE plasma desktop
On panel get an X loading icon on panel.

The MAME emulator is designed for full screen and that's my preference. However this X icon appears when MAME launches a game (it switches to desktop with the X icon in panel then switches back to full screen and launches game). I read it's a loading icon. Is there any way of disabling this?

Tried this (doesn't change anything):

system settings >
appearance>
cursors>
configure launch feedback>
Set to none

and this (still doesn't change anything):

system settings >
Window Management >
Window Rules >
added MAME and configured

OK rather than having the emulator app full screen, is it possible to have it window'd, that's displayed nested on top of the panel ?
