I am running Arch Linux x86_64 with an Nvidia Geforce RTX 3060, AMD Ryzen 7 5800x3D, and 32gbs of ddr4 ram.

This week, I have recently set up the Zen Kernel to run alongside the Arch Kernel. Recently after, The internet speed has been incredibly slow. I am getting around 9mb/s while all my other devices (on wi-fi) are getting upwards of 800mbps.

I am using ethernet, so I don't understand really why it is this painfully slow. I've tried installing multiple alternative network managers, but nothing seems to work. Switching back to the normal Linux Kernel does no good either. Google has minimal solutions, with most "answers" talking about wi-fi and not ethernet.

I'm also relatively new to Arch Linux, so I dont really know how to pinpoint this problem, please help!

I'll write the same old and proper message for this type of problems: "check cable" 😛

I tried that

#

swapped it out for 4 different cables

#

that cable works fine on my laptop

#

shouldve mentioned that sorry

#

could it be the port?

#

no cant be

#

i tried a usb c to ethernet gave same results

I think that kind of problems are not usually related to the computer software layer

#

Cable is most likely not working fine (but you've discarded that, though)

#

Maybe the ports (computer or switch)

idk my usbc to ethernet seems to give the same output

#

ill try one last thing

Would you mind sharing the output of lspci -v -d ::0200 ?

#

(If that doesn't return ethernet controller info, please change device number accordingly)
