You should never ever rely on sshfs, especially since sshfs has actually been abandoned by it's developer that wrote and maintained it. What are you actually truely "needing" that you cannot live without?

You'd need to provide more detail about the exact situation to know why you can't write. What are you sshing into as, what permissions are on the file you're trying to modify, etc.

Then there's literally no need for sshfs, just use scp.
