Hm. 530 is the current version on Arch. It's only one major version behind.

the flashing, then cursor returning to the center of the screen would seem to indicate that the WM is crashing. Do you have logs.

sudo journalctl -e, and ideally an excerpt while it's flashing. or sudo dmesg and either the full thing or an excerpt when it's flashing

just copy-paste an excerpt or pipe it into a file. dmesg is the kernel ring buffer, and systemd doesn't store its logs in a human readable format.

I don't have any good ones. You could try older or newer drivers/kernels. Maybe going to the latest Nvidia will help, or downgrading things to a version from a few months ago before the issue appeared
